Where was i? ehn?Diddy baby, i need more money - i used the last of it buying for the both of us ![]() Debosky, drop your list oh. I will try and get it soon as well as £40,000 ![]() Baddy, are you still alive? ![]() Genial, i was just asking because i saw some flirtation with svs.[/quote]Er. . . *scratches his head* I think I just missed something there. . . . |
Is that an indication of interest? |
Good to see you, Jewel. You arrived just at the nick of time. Perhaps you can inject some sanity to the bench? This court stands the grave risk of being mocked by the ineptitude of the gown. |
debosky:May I remind your honour that I speak on behalf of my client in this matter? My client does not need to refute any allegations, otherwise my services would not be as valuable. I believe his statement has already been tendered before this honourable court, viz: y'all got it all WRONG. if i had raped you (or wanted to), my EGBESU jazz wouldn't have bounced the bullets back when you and Afeni shot me. can't you remember we shared a pack of beer while Afeni was slacking? @spokes do you believe a man of my calibre can stain his name with "RAPE"? It is obvious to all that, by this statement, the defendant has effectively denied all charges levelled against him. His account also seems consistent with the facts: he is alive and well, and there are no bullet marks on his body, contrary to the plaintiff's assertion that he was shot. He also attempts, albeit very briefly, to provide his own version of events. Once more, this seems to uphold my earlier suspicion that there was a conspiracy aimed at tainting the image of the defendant who, I must reiterate at the risk of overly repeating myself, is a honest family man. Your honour, I wish to cross-examine the witness. |
debosky:At the risk of incurring your wrath, your honour, I would like to respectfully enquire about the manner through which the so-called fingerprint evidence was obtained. Since contact was purportedly made with the skin of the plaintiff, do we suppose that the plaintiff assiduously protected her skin, or at least the areas around the affected mammaries, from contact with water since the purported occurrence of this unfortunate event - even though it was more than a month ago? I once more wish to draw your attention to obvious discrepancies in the plaintiff's account of the event - discrepancies which, if considered appropriately, will cast a serious doubt on the veracity of the plaintiff's submission. 1. In her first statement, the plaintiff submitted that [i]I don't hate you, I dislike you. Anyways, here's my statement; I opened my bra for Afeni to come in, but he wasn't there. IBB saw my bra and quickly ran to me, I rejected him and he slapped me and tore my bra. Afterwards, he put his thingy inside me and started making weird moves. I screamed and Afeni came and helped me. He pushed IBB and shot him. IBB touched my nipples! Please note her assertion that the accused saw her. From her positive submission, we can surmise that she was visually aware of the accused when she was assaulted by him, as alleged. 2. In her second submission: retro:Here, in obvious contradiction of her previous submission, she says that she did not see him. Gentlemen of the jury, since, by the plaintiff's own admission, the other party in this dispute, Mr Afeni, was absent from the scene of the incident until this time, and she did not see the defendant, perhaps we can be better informed as to how she knew to describe his approach in such detail? Placed side by side with her previous submission, is there not a justifiable concern here that there could be a grave travesty of justice? I ask, once more, that the plaintiff be discounted as unreliable. We have seen that her accounts change at will, are inconsistent and solely tailored to discredit the defendant - a honest, tax paying citizen of our great nation. I trust that, in the conscientious manner you have displayed thus far, you will treat this matter with the alacrity it deserves, and grant the defendant acquittal of this malicious accusation. I rest my case. |
Welcome back, sweet Esly. Your place was never under any threat. |
*the counsel is on recess* |
debosky:If I may be so bold as to remind your honour, it is not my duty to provide evidence to prove the accuracy or otherwise of the plaintiff's assertions. I am simply trying to show that there is reasonable doubt as to the guilt of the accused in this matter. And if it is shown that there is reasonable doubt, the court has no choice than to acquit him of all charges. I rest my case, your honour. |
If I may say so, ma'am, you need to make up your mind. Which room did Afeni come out of? At what point during the incident did he come out? If he was in the room, where were you? And what were you doing outside the room? I see, perhaps, he was going to prepare for your "doing it"? Or perhaps, it was prearranged? You would trick the accused into coming to your help, as if you were distressed, and then your co-consipirator would apprehend him? My lord administrator, it appears to me that we are in the process of uncovering an insidious conspiracy aimed at ambushing an honest citizen and unfairly charging him with this heinious misdemeanour. |
My lord administrator, I cannot help but point out certain conflicting statements in the plaintiff's submission. retro:In this first submission we are told by the plaintiff that the Afeni in question was not at the scene of the crime. In an effort to clarify her statement, she introduces another aspect of the tale which directly contradicts her earlier statement, viz retro:From her statement also, it is not particularly clear whether or not the accused was in the same vicinity. Note that she used the word 'ran to me' to describe the movement of the accused. This implies that the purported crime must have taken place in an extremely spacious enclosure or in the open air, even though she attempts to attribute the accused's view of her to his 'peeking through the window', in her own words. In view of the fact that the plaintiff has been established as one whose testimony is unreliable, or at best inconsistent, and cannot therefore be relied on for dispensation of justice in this case, I hereby request that this case be summarily thrown out of the court for want of evidence. I rest my case. |
svs:where did she go? |
svs:Coming from you, that sounds like a term of endearment. Did being called 'silly' ever feel so good? |
svs:Now I know what it is you wish to hear. Truth. There's your answer, ma'am. |
svs:Very well, my lady. Since my previous answer obviously did not satisfy you, tell me, what would you like my answer to be? |
debosky:Hmm. . . *this one sounds particularly confident* Wolverine's adamantium skeleton, you say? Hmm . . . |
svs:I must admit that this question looks suspiciously rhetorical, ma'am. I beg your pardon, but I am under the impression that my previous answer adequately addressed all parts of your enquiry. |
debosky:Has the triple covalent bond been exposed to extreme conditions of temperature, allure and sweet-talking? |
diddy4:Hmm. . . I was under the impression that you had since moved over to another thriving chemical reactor. I'm obviously mistaken. |
svs:She my Princess, if that's what you ask. |
diddy4:That can be arranged. We could use a -20 degrees freezer to preserve it. But, if I'm not mistaken, you were once in possession of this particular species (or something in the same class of chemicals). Did you not find it profitable? |
kellorah:Look more closely. You just might see something you didn't know was there. |
diddy4:*Taking off his hat in acknowledgement* Thank you for your kindness, sire. |
debosky:Hmm. . . How much would it cost you to change your mind about the availability of this species? |
svs:In what sense do you ask, ma'am? |
diddy4:I understand, sir. But would you perhaps care to not modify the spelling of my name? |
svs:Anything for you, angel. |
debosky:Self-replenishing reactants? How do you manage that? Perhaps each reactant is a nuclear generator? Interesting. . . . We could be talking of a whole new order of nuclear reaction here - where each reacting species is an autonomous reaction system capable of regenerating itself with time. . . . You know, we could harness this idea for inexhaustible power generation for the future! Tell me, my good man, these two species - Debo & Blue (I assume those are acronyms for the full chemical descriptions for, say, (Deuterated Ethylamine Borophosphate Orange) - are they commercially available? |
svs:My pleasure, ma'am! Can't be angry with such a heavenly creature for any appreciable length of time! |
svs:Oh, my! And just when I was beginning think we were developing some kind of rapport ![]() |
debosky:This kind of reaction appears to have very interesting characteristics. Is the system open or closed - is there provision for replenishing the reactants during the course of the reaction, or is the reaction allowed to proceed to completion? In this case, that would represent the complete exhaustion of one or both of the reactants. |
svs:My error, ma'am. I hope your urbane sensibility has not been assaulted by my absurdity. Please tell me about this blue Nubian. I am interested in the study of ancient history - in this case, the history of the ancient people of Nubia. How absolutely amazing! I didn't know there were Nubians walking the surface of the earth. Must be an interesting specimen, this Nubian! |
debosky:A chemical reaction? How interesting! Tell me about the reaction kinetics - is the reaction Most importantly, does the reaction have any potential commercial benefit? |
