Hi guys, I use a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 pro.

Unfortunately, the phone fell into water and is now acting funny.

I noticed the phone doesn't charge the battery once the charger is plugged into a socket (with electricity)

At the moment, the only way it charges is after I reboot the phone.

The weird thing is that the phone continues charging after the reboot is done, once I unplug the charger it stops, if I plug it back, it doesn't charge again until I reboot the device.

Please what could be the solution to this problem?

When your phone falls into water it is a mistake to immediately start using it.

In 2019 we will advice you put it in a sack of rice for days.

Alternatively is for you to take it to a technician for proper cleaning and drying.

You didn't do all this in the first place.

done all this didn't work. I saw the root storage, just can't grant access to it. I am not the only one experiencing moving files to obb and data restrictions with Android 13, I don't know how you manage to bypass yours, maybe your phone is rooted can't say. If you go to YouTube millions of people are complaining about the same issue. The only solution on my mind now is a downgrade to Android 11 I made a mistake upgrading it

I haven't used a root device in over 10 years so nope it is not rooted.

Clear data of Solid explorer. When you open it it should ask you to grant permission.

Grant permission to your entire internal storage. Not just a particular folder.

I am probably using a fake Android 13 then because I have been copying and even zipping folders in my data folder and moving them out.

You are doing something wrong.

It is either not probably plugged in properly. Or you are using an unauthorised charger

Did you download with a download manager?

yeah I granted access and all that, I used CX file explorer and Google files but the phone still dey speak English. But nevertheless if the android 13 update pops up on my Redmi 10 C I'll still update it. If the issue starts I'll enter YouTube and find a way around it.

Use the managers I listed. You can check liteapks for their mods

Did you use an external file manager and granted it access. And hope you downloaded latest versions and not old versions?

This isn't true sha.

I copy in and out of my data folder. MIUI will only prompt you to use Google files or you have an option of using third party file managers like Solid Explorer, MiXplorer etc.
