I usually don't do reviews even when I get a high end phone but I just have to do this.

I've used iPhones and Samsung phones. My last being the S20 Ultra, one problem I have always had was battery as I'm a heavy user and no matter what I did to conserve battery nothing just works. Mind you, S20 Ultra has 5000mah battery but it barely gets through the whole day. In fact the most screen on time I have gotten on it is 7hrs 30mins on FHD screen and medium battery saving settings.

After the sad battery experience I decided trying Xiaomi, I got Note 9s of 5020mah which has completely blown me away in terms of battery life. I have been trying to run it down literally but I can't. I have been surfing the net, watching movies still I can't run it down. I intentional said I won't charge since yesterday morning....... Guess what? I still have 45% battery left which will last me the rest of the day.

Screen on time is over 8hrs already meaning I can still get about 6hrs SOT.

Overall these phones don't compare to Samsung functionalities but I'm beginning to think Samsung makes wack battery or they fake the capacity.

In Samsung's defence, the high refresh rates and the QHD display is guilty for the battery backup, that is why they over compensated with the hefty battery.

Ensure you disable WiFi and Bluetooth scanning. Search Scanning from settings to do that.

They didn't specify which ROM version have the issue because an update was rolled out recently.

Modified: EU ROM is the one facing the issue not Global ROM. So it doesn't concern us down here except of course you bought a model with an EU ROM.

Sometimes its not convinient for newbies to maneuver the pages, sellers who have the goods he needs and feels too big or tired to quote him, just have too much money in his account and dosen't want to make another sale.

You conveniently push the blame to the sellers. Not all sellers have time checking for deal hunters, they attend to their mentions when they come into Nairaland mostly.

Also note that most of them aren't newbies.

Redmi K30 but note, it doesn't have a Global Version so you have to do without LTE Bands not found in Chinese Version.

Due to the convenience RN9s offer, I would rather go with it.

Global version have more Lte bands that are common in Nigeria while china version usually has fewer bands that you find in nigeria.

To get more information, google the china version and the global version of that phone you ordered, you'll see the difference in 4g bands.

Just lookout for band 3,7 and 28 cos those are the bands people are most concerned with in Nigeria.

You asked if this particular phone you wanted to buy from the seller is global or Chinese before you did and I remember telling you it's a 50/50 thing. If it's Chinese version, you will have issues using it on MTN 4G with band 7 and 20 well except you are lucky to be in a place where MTN uses band 3. It will work for all other networks.

And Glo Band 28. Well this one is not even on the Global Version too.

At the rate they are going you most likely will not even see MIUI 12 till next year... Even the beta is not out for Note 8 yet, they have been postponing that ever since.. RN8 is about the only device that is yet to receive the beta... So whenever they decide to release the MIUI 12 for RN8, the beta will first drop, beta testers and people using Custom ROMs will have access to that... Men like you that are hoping for stable OTA, it will be like till next year before the stable release is ready

Thanks boss. I just swapped the SIM and 4g is showing for Airtel. I have changed my MTN to 4g before. I don't know why it's not showing 4g again.

Check the case well, there ought to be. If you get a safety pin it also does the job.

RN8 users pls is the update on MIUI 12 cos I'm still confused o. they said we're going to receive MIUI 12 update this June, anyway June never finish. MIUI 12 won't start it's version number with V11 nah. V11 stands for MIUI 11

After testing Gcam mods on RN9s, I came up with a conclusion that the stock is better.

The onfire mod is better than the pixelcam I shared first.
