What version are you using? The one I'm using produces too much contrast and pictures end up being rough somehow. Stock camera on RN8 is far better than gcam

If I haven't used GCam on RN8, I would say it's a general problem but this your own is just baffling

Note use Astro XML For Astrophotography alone.
parrotv13.ryam works well for every other mode

To apply configs
Create a folder on the root of your internal storage called GoogleCamera then create another folder in this folder called ConfigsCamera. Paste the XML FILE (s)

Then open the app click on the black space at the right side between the shutter button and the button to view pictures select the config file and click restore. Close the app and reopen.

Go to settings, advanced AWB where you see Pixel 4 XL change it to S5KGM1. If it is already set to that leave it.
Incase you can't apply configs

All phone come with stock camera otherwise known as default camera. Any other camera app apart from this is called third party app

If you desperately need the feature you Unlock your bootloader and flash a custom ROM, or simply download and flash Chinese Firmware

I have never even used the call recording feature. I see it as invasion of privacy.

This time around the second folder should be ConfigsCamera7.2 instead of ConfigsCamera.

No properly working GCam (I guess this is what you meant because all phones have stock camera) port for R8a. If GCam is a deal breaker look higher up the chain

It is a general problem with Mi 9T because no much phones using the Sony IMX 582 as compared to 586 on the Pro variant which is much more common. So you have to make do with what you have till there is a dedicated port for Mi 9T

Because new regulations prevents them from putting their mi Dailer/messaging apps on Global Version but instead Google stock Dailer.

But Xiaomi have promised to bring the feature later this year.

There is no proper GCam port working on Redmi 8a yet.

You have to source that on Aliexpress or eBay. It was not officially launched in Nigeria so Slot and their partners won't sell it.
