Hi all, had my note 7 for a few weeks now, and really chuffed with it, until recently, possibly the last update, my battery has started draining quite a bit more than it was, it will drop overnight, when not in use by about 10% and its just not as good as it was a two weeks or so . I'm not a heavy user by any means on an average day I suppose it used to drop to about 70% but now with the same amount of use its down to 40-50%, I've uninstalled the few apps I added recently, with no effect, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this? currently running miui 11.0.3

Fam, As far as camera is concerned, RN8 has macro lens support which A3 does not have,,, and hell RN8 takes better picture than A3... And Performances, please don't bring stock Android ish here, that shit is a Myth... Both phones got same chipsets and perform at equal rate, Android One doesn't make shit better

Ultrawide camera can take macro shots so as far as am concerned there is no biggy there.

Redmi Note 8 don't take better photos than the Mi A3.

So are you telling me because the pixel 4 or Samsung Note 10+ and Huawei Mate 30 pro don't have a macro lens the RN8 is now by number of lens better than them?

Actually Mi A3 has a better camera setup that RN8. It comes with Sony IMX 586 48Mp sensor mostly found on flagships compared to the Samsung GM2 on the RN8, it's battery should last longer because of the resolution and Stock android.

It's performance would also be slightly better because stock android runs on lesser resources.

A little research helps. That RN8 has 4 cameras doesn't really make it better.

As far as am concern the only thing it has over Mi A3 is the display resolution, the other is MIUI which is subjective to personal taste and opinion

I have said it severally that Most SD Cards we buy can't match the speeds of our internal memory, hence slowing the phone down.

One reason why I advise people to buy a phone with at least 64Gb ROM. I don't play with speed.

It was actually meant for the European market mainly starting with countries that never got the Regular Redmi Note 8

Don't confuse yourself you can't download that ROM and just install on your phone. You have to unlock bootloader and flash that ROM with a PC to your phone except your phone is an Indian Version that came with that ROM

Did you change region and was your data turned on during the process. Also charge your phone and turn off battery saver as it hinders background activities.

Modified: please read before downloading any ROM. It was clearly stated Redmi 7 and not Redmi Note 7.

Don't go and spoil your phone then turn around to blame Xiaomi.

Be patient for the OTA.
