As long as the Global ROM is official you have no fear of bricking.

My Redmi Note 5 is the Chinese version with Global ROM and I have lost count of how many times I have updated.

Most people who are not sure usually post their about sections here to verify if their ROM is not a shop ROM, you can do the same when it gets to that point.

Also ordering through any seller here minimises the risks of you getting a phone with a shop/fake global ROM

You know OEM's are currently in a tight competition with their flagships and right now their major focus is trying to outdo each other in terms of mobile photography.

According to the current DXoMark standings. The P30 pro has the highest rating in still photography thanks to their Zoom and ToF camera, the Samsung S10+ has the best Selfie Camera and the Xiaomi Mi 9 has the best rating in Videography

Allowed is not the right word to use.

You can get the Chinese version and use it anywhere in the world.

Even in the absence of global ROM people were enjoying Xiaomi devices.

Note 7 is your best bet. Ads can be disabled so no cause for alarm

It's kinda crazy that people are spotting 4G on Glo Band 3 in some areas. Trying to make sure it's official or at least wide-spread. I cannot tell people to expect 4G on a different band when it's spotty at best & without a wide coverage like say all of Lagos state or PH.

Time would tell if it's something they plan to dab into fully.

The test on Band 3 actually started in Ibadan and not Lagos and they are not leaving Band 28 as Band 28 has a better depth but using band 3 to complement it because a vast majority of 4G enabled devices used by Nigerians has no support for band 28. Someone even compared the speed of both bands on the same sometime ago. Band 28 was faster.

Believe Glo customer care at your own peril, Customer care that refused selling Glo 4G sim saying there is no 4G in that location meanwhile my younger sister was using the unavailable 4G at home.

And you should be aware the phone you are interested in buying is not a product you can go into any walk-in store and buy. Even on Jumia you have to pay first and wait.
