CrimeRe: Eleme Youths Attack & Brutalise Okrika Youths In A Bush In Rivers(Graphic Photos by GeniusDavid(m): 8:02pm On Feb 22, 2017
TonyeBarcanista:
I have deliberately decided not to discuss ANY disputed territory on social media, and I'll stick to it, this include the aforementioned communities... I take this decision for obvious reasons as my position may appear bias just as yours.

But I'll continue to say that the propaganda against Okrika people by some indigenes of neighboring communities are not unnoticed. Good thing is that it can never take the position of reality.

As for this attack against our people, my prayer is that we(Okrikans) continue to peacefully conduct ourselves in the face of provocation and seek redress at the appropriate quarters.

These Pseudo-intelligent speeches you make.. You actually sound like rivers state politicians.

TonyeBarcanista:
Man, Okrikans are not landgrabbers. That is a fact that we must recognise.

While it is true that Okrika is an Island, it is also a fallacy to claim that we don't have other lands. I won't speak much on any disputed territory because I may appear bias, but I will insist that the proper thing be done to seek redress by both parties.

Eleme MUST respect the gentleman pact it entered with Okrika in the nineties so that we sustain the peaceful coexistence we hitherto enjoy. You know that when it comes to violence, they suffer the most.

Okrikans are peaceful people.
That same pact that the Okrikans have been violating for years! I want you to name a single situation after the pact that the people of Eleme decided to encroach any land belonging to the Okrikas? Rather they've been trying for years to defend their lands.

The same thing with the neighbouring Ogoni towns. It is always the Okrikas that pull the first shots. Go way back and study the cause of the conflict, you'd know how violent your people are. You claim the People of Eleme spilled the first blood after the pact? My dear, this is not the first time it has happened after the pact. I don't know how well you've been following this issue but it has always been the Okrikas making moves.

The Okrikas know they don't have enough land that is why to keep up with development and expansion, they've been constantly encroaching lands belonging to their neighbours. Do you expect their neighbours to keep silent and watch their farmlands and forest taken away?

2015/2016 Alone : The Okrikas attacked Tai (Seme, Gio etc) , Attacked and took over the community of Ekporo killing the chiefs and youth leaders, tried attacking Onne (Which is impossible to take over) .

And you come on Nairaland to give claims that your people are loving and peaceful while history and facts has proven otherwise.

TonyeBarcanista:
This act by some misguided youths of Eleme against the good and peace loving people of Okrika is irresponsible and highly condemnable. It is a shame that despite the bond of friendship between both groups, Eleme youths would take to violence against their innocent Okrika neighbours. Government must fish out perpetrators
Peace and Loving people of Okrika? Not trying to support the violence but is it not the same Okrikas that have been encroaching the boundaries with Eleme? Last year, indigenes of Ekporo were driven from their town by Okrikas.. Okrika that is surrounded by water claiming ownership of lands? Anyone who knows the history of the rivalry between these two would understand the greed of the Okrikas.

Mrtesso:
They're not the best, only amongst the most expensive where class distinction is the order. Theyre really really good though.

Some of their proprietors knew the agenda of the meeting and probably felt too important to honor the IV.

I mean, they've been in money b4 the Governor even left secondary school. Thing is, most politicians in Rivers State either attended or have wards in these schools so maybe the ban may not last.

However its govnor Wike were talking about here....Obey b4 complain.
There's also a political view. The owners of most of these schools are known APC members.

Trust me I ain't trying to attack your person but your so-called "top class" alma mater,if you don't know the difference between vouch and verge and where to use them,I think the governor is actually in the right here.
My bad! Inserting a word used in a discussion! Thanks btw .... Just to straighten: I really don't see it like you put it "Top Class" .. I don't think I'm trying to put that in anyone's face. Point was on the supposed suspension being nothing more than media shenanigans.

No, I am a strong advocate of One Nigeria. My Point is, the current situation of this country is what's holding Lagos from reaching its full potentials.
