2023: Peter Obi, INEC Chairman, others to speak at Chatham House

Candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 presidential election, Mr Peter Obi and the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmood Yakubu have been scheduled to speak at Chatham House.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Alex Vines, Director of Africa Programme at Chatham House disclosed this on Monday when the Royal Institute of International Affairs hosted the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Bola Tinubu.

According to Vines, Chatham House will also host the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and also the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso in series of meetings leading up to Nigeria’s 2023 general election.

“On the 17th of January 2023, Chatham House will host an event with INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu. We have invitations out to three other presidential candidates for this election in Nigeria.

“So, Atiku Abubakar, the candidate for the People’s Democratic Party, we have issued an invitation to him. As you know, some of you, he spoke here in 2018 about Nigeria’s economy. He is no stranger to Chatham House.

“An invitation has also been issued to Peter Obi, the leader for the Labour Party. He is also considering that invitation. And finally, we have also invited Rabiu Kwankwaso, the New Nigeria People’s Party candidate.

“So, we do want to be equitable and impartial here at this institute and as you can understand and see, not only are we interested in the electoral processes and systems and checks and balances in Nigeria, we also want to hear from potential Nigerian leadership,” Vines disclosed.

APC lying machines said that Obi is not known in the core North. We will never show mercy to the urchins, we will keep on pressing their necks until we take back our country from the crooks and criminals ruling us.

What manner of man is Obi that everyone loves him! There is no part of the country that has not endorsed him. Go and verify.

Labour Party chairman Julius Abure raises Peter Obi and Yusuf Baba-Ahmed as Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates
As the 2023 general elections draw closer, the North Easterners across the country under the Umbrella of North East Stakeholders has thrown its weight behind Labour Party presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.

During the interactive session on the theme: “Good Governance: The Gateway to Secure our People and the Land, the Convener of the group, Isaac Balami said they are supporting Peter Obi /Datti for the sake of justice, equity, fairness and to also fight for their own rights.

“We are here to steer up grassroots mobilisation across the North east of Borno, Adamawa, Bauchi , Gombe and Yobe states to ensure that Peter Obi/ Datti emerges the winner come 2023.

“In 2011, we know what we did for President Jonathan to emerge and in 2015, we know what we did for President Buhari to emerge as the winner but we regretted our actions,” he said.

While responding, the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, said voting their choices shouldn’t be by tribe, religion or ethnicity.

He said today the country has only 35 percent of employment out of over 200 million youths lamenting that youths of their productive age are doing nothing which is resulting to banditry, killing and other crisis in the country .

He emphasised that they have the best experience to tackle to issue of of insecurity and remove Nigerians from consumption to production .

“We want to fight poverty in the northern states and we won’t sit in Abuja but visit all these states directly to know their plights and solve it .

“I want to give the children the future they deserve and there are so many we can do here. Don’t vote for me for sympathy. I am running because I am competent,” he said.

Jackie And Oppong Weah
One of Ghana’s most renowned actors, Jackie Appiah, has received wild rumors that she will wed Liberia’s president, George Weah, on December 10. Weah is a football hero.

Weah and Jackie have been the subject of persistent rumors that they are having a relationship, despite the lack of any conclusive proof to support this.

Although the adage “there’s no fire without smoke” holds a lot of truth, this internet portal cannot attest for the veracity of this latest wave of rumors, which were spread via Twitter.

Minister Rennie Rubbishes Social Media Report On President Weah’s Bid For Another Wife. She Looks More Beautiful And Younger Than Bara – Jackie Appiah’s Beautiful Mother Stirs Reaction At Daughter’s

Online blogs have previously reported this, claiming that the actress, whose renown reached beyond the borders of Africa, has consented to become the president of Liberia’s second wife as of December 10.
Clar Marie Duncan Weah is the spouse of George Manneh Weah, the 25th President of the Republic of Liberia who was elected in 2017. She is a businesswoman, philanthropist, and activist from Jamaica who serves as the First Lady of the Republic of Liberia at the moment.

Similar to this, blogger Aba The Great stated in one of her speculative posts she posted on Instagram in September 2022 that Jackie was expecting George Weah.

The actress’s attention was drawn to the publication, and she quickly reacted to it by saying;

She asked all to treat such gossips as unnecessary and useless. “Please ignore all rumors, it is not true, I don’t entertain unnecessary rumours, do I look like a pregnant woman here? Please ignore the rumours…I love you all…ignore all rumours.” – Myinfo.com.gh

Politics / Presidency: What I Told Tinubu’s Wife After She Asked Me To Campaign For Tinubu by Gentino(m): 11:12pm On Dec 06, 2022
POLITICSPresidency: What I told Tinubu’s wife after she asked me to campaign for her husband Published on August 26, 2022By Seun Opejobi

A former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, has disclosed that Lagos Central Senator, Remi Tinubu urged him to campaign for the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Momodu said Tinubu’s wife made the appeal during an event in Lagos State.

The veteran journalist said Mrs Tinubu recalled his past relationship with the APC presidential candidate.

In an Instagram post on Friday, the veteran Publisher said he wouldn’t support Tinubu’s ambition, though he loves the APC presidential candidate.

Momodu explained that the “APC has done too much damage to Nigeria.”

He wrote, “Only two people, apart from the photographers, witnessed what happened between me and Senator Mrs Oluremi Tinubu yesterday, at the funeral service of Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson, at Archbishop Vining Memorial Church in Ikeja, Lagos. Before some people add salt and pepper to it, I need to state precisely what happened.

“Senator Tokunbo Abiru and Dr Tunji Olowolafe and I had walked in about the same time, and we went to greet my very dear Sister, Senator Mrs Oluremi Tinubu.

“Immediately she saw me, we exchanged our usual pleasantries, and then she asked me, “so Bob Dee, you’re not going to campaign for my husband,” I smiled and remained very calm before replying: “Your Excellency, I’m in PDP.

“She apparently didn’t find it funny and regaled us with the past I shared with her husband, and I tried to calm her down.

“Anyway, I went back to my seat and pondered on what just happened, and I soliloquised: “Before the PDP Primary, I had been asked repeatedly by journalists if I’ll dump PDP if I don’t get the ticket, my answer was NO. So if I had gotten the PDP ticket, would I step down for TINUBU of APC? The answer is No.”

How does someone who is outlandish, shallow and empty be at the same time genuinely optimistic about a better Nigeria? Is this a contradiction or an indictment on you for all your attacks against Obi.

I know that you are trying to justify your pay but will OBIdiently vote for Peter Obi. You can not really be supporting APC without sounding stupid.

Atiku should face his karma squarely.
What goes around comes around.
When former president Jonathan pleaded with him, he refused to make peace with PDP but instead asked Jonathan to relinquish his ticket to him.

But now karma is serving him hot breakfast and he is running from pillar to post to assuage karma but it won't work. Even if he reconciles with the G5, it's still individual votes that would count.

Atiku should know that he can't eat his cake and have it and that a northern Fulani Muslim can not succeed another northern Fulani Muslim. Southerners are not fools

Anyone who doesn't vote for Peter Obi is the real enemy of Nigeria irrespective of your tribe, religion or political affiliation.

If you truly love Nigeria and wants it to work again, vote Peter Obi of Labour Party. Nigeria needs Peter Obi more than Peter Obi needs Nigeria. Let's rescue Nigeria together.

My advice: Pls don't let your political affiliation cause us more affliction beyond 2023.

I won't be surprised if Tinubu steps down for Atiku or Atiku steps down for Tinubu. The level of attack from both established parties against a supposed structureless party and it's flag bearer is really disheartening.

The two parties have refused to engage in issue based campaigns but have resorted to attacking the personality of a man divinely ordained to rescue Nigeria and Nigerians.

Both men and their parties have also refused to participate in the presidential debates and intellectual engagements where they are expected to articulate their plans on how to rule the country. No one should take the two old men serious.

Nigerians must take back their country through Mr. Peter Obi.

NigeriaIsGreat:
Nigerian baby politicians and their ego. Amaechi confessed he is scared to enter his State because of Wike.

Is that the President Nigeria needs? While Tinubu was a deliberate and methodical politician, Osinbajo was drafted into politics.

There is nothing in his nature that indicates he would not have happily remained a comfortable middle class lawyer had he not met Tinubu.

Meanwhile Tinubu is a politicians Politician. A deliberate leader of leaders. He was a Senator in his late thirties.

He was fighting Abacha in an organised fashion, through NADECO, at an age most Nigerians today are still trying to decide what they want to do with their lives.

Amaechi, Osinbajo etal should drop ego and support Tinubu or they can get lost. How many battles have either won and what battle has Tinubu, who has faced more than most, lost?

Some will mention Obi. The coward was pleading with OBJ on his knees yet still got impeached. Tinubu not only stood up to OBJ but totally retrenched Obasanjo's influence, through the PDP, from the SW.

Nigerians are too petty and tribalistic. If not it will be obvious only Tinubu can weild power productively on behalf of the South today.

Buhari did same.on behalf of the North because he is authoritative and as iconically supported as Tinubu is.

Difference is that Tinubu is fairer, more tolerant, and more detribalised and more modern than Buhari. He will get more results than Buhari by far.

We should not waste the turn of the South indulging weakling any section of the country would bully with ease as happened to GEJ. Are we not ashamed at how terrorised Nigeria is becoming because North does not want to grant Nigeria modern and more effective policing and security architecture?

US, UK and European nations are evacuating their citizens from Abuja currently and we are still clowning around. The rescue mission belongs to Tinubu alone.

I am tipping Tinubu to be an Awolowo of today. A father of the rebirth of Nigeria. He will never fail.Unless of course death stops him.

Is this what they paid you to be writing on all the threads? No matter the "hyping" for your pay, Nigerians will not hand a sick country to a sick man who had already promised/prepared to turn a rotten situation to a bad one

Tinubu is a local/regional politician. Instead of him to embark on national politics/campaigns, he's always running to southwest where he can comfortably use Yoruba language to tell them Emilokan ati Yoruba lokan.

Let him come to the national TV and explain his manifestos and how he intends to govern Nigeria.

Nigerians vote wisely.
