I think the officer in charge will still wanna know the sources of that bulky transactions into your account. I stand to be corrected. NSNominee: Hi Guys please I have a question, sorry in advance for the long write up and any inputs will be appreciated.
I got nominated by NS and my current ee point is 1055, my profile expires at the end of Feb, I’d lose 5 points in December(birthday).
When I submitted my documents to NS for the nomination I used 2 gift deeds from my cousins in the US which made up the bulk sum of the money along with a letter of explanation that I’m studying abroad now as such my family foots my bills and I was still able to get the nomination. Considering my current EE point I’m certain I’d receive an ITA next draw but I’m thinking maybe I should keep rejecting the ITA till the money hits 6 months in my account( 2 months left). The reason for this is; I don’t want to apply for PR using the gift deeds or writing a letter of explanation. Do you think this is a good plan or will it lead to issues? |

Tonye93: can I get an immigration visa to Canada with "a million Naira", a 3years working permit preferably, with a job, even if minute. Before even thinking of this decision, ask yourself this question: what quality or advantage do you have that a Canadian employer will recruit a non-citizen/ PR as against a citizen/PR. Residence in Canada are still looking for work and you are here and hoping to get a work permit. |

Language Test is not locked after ITA, only age is locked Bekecons: I think all your variables including Test results get locked after ITA oooo. Moreover, Medicals are required to submit an application because it has a placeholder for it to be uploaded. So if you can get the medicals done ASAP you can submit your application before then. Anyway let's have more input from our seniors. |

Definitely the WES fees is more than the dollar spending limit. SnowdropO: I am trying to pay for WES with my first bank Mastercard, no luck. This is the same card I have used to pay for various services in the UK and US. Is there a particular reason why it's not going through? |

No need for reference letter of your current job because you are not claiming the experience and I doubt if your application Will be affected in any way if you don't claim experience for your current job. Provided your last job was 3 years or more, you get the full points for foreign work experience. deedorte: I want to claim point only for my first job - 4 years but I filled my current job as part of my history.
Do I need to provide a reference letter for my current job too. Or will it affect my application if I don't claim point for my current job. |

You can claim your 3 years work experience even under different NOC. Note that you need to provide work reference letter for both organizations. Bruan: hello everyone. I have two years work experience with a particular organization and another one year and still ongoing with another organization. In claiming work experience, can claim three years of work experience if it falls under same NOC and job description??
Also for documents of proof of work experience , will I have to provide documents for both previous and present organizations or just the present employer? |

I know that PCC from any state of Nigeria has to be sent to Lagos (alagbon) to be sign and stamp by a police officer. Therefore, I will say that your PCC from Abuja or any state will be acceptable. daddydoublejay: Happy sunday guys, please does anyone know if PCC from abuja is accepted for EE. Their website has only alagbon address but I learnt PCC can be gotten from abuja as well. |

This is a straight forward case. All you need is 3 year work experience and you have a wealth of 12 years experience. What you have to do is to use the 2 years experience of your current position and augment it with any of your previous position. Note You are free to use more than one NOC provided one of your work experience is continuous for one year. In case of two different position in the same company, I suggest you get two reference letters I.e one for each NOC. NIFES: Good evening all.
A big thank you to everybody that contributes their experiences and ideas on the platform. God bless you all.
I need an insight on what to do about my job experiences please;
Combined, I have over 12 years job experience but on different roles and 2 different companies.
The first 3 years was as a Quality Control Officer in a Distilleries. The next seven years was on a role as a sales admin officer in another FMCG company, while the last 2 years and current role is in the same department and the same Company but as a Business Analyst.
I want to apply on NOC 4162 but my concern is that I am less than 3 years on my current role as a Business Analyst which matches the NOC I intend to use.
My questions is; I hope this won't be contradictory as I am less than 2 years on the job role that matches the NOC but if added together I am 9 years plus in the same department but slightly different job descriptions?
Anybody with insights should kindly enlighten me.
Thank you. |

Nikkybeth: Good morning house. It's me again. Please guide me accordingly. When they state that if you have given biometrics in the last ten years, there's no need to give another one. Do they mean giving biometrics to travel to any country not just Canada? I did biometrics for study in the UK in 2015. Does it mean I don't have to do it again now? Thanks in advance I am no expert, but I think the biometrics will be considered for Canada travels only. |

francophone134: in my opinion, they start counting work experience from the year you got your degree or highest last certificate I doubt this. Work experience he got before his highest certificate should be valid. Btw even work experience gain during your studies is valid if it's a paid employment.

If its because of lack of funds that they are not accompanying, then you should rethink your decision because you will still need to show POF for the family of 3. Ganzallo: Hello everyone, Great job on the write ups and tips it has been really enlightening.
I have 2 questions please,
1. I received my ITA yesterday but didn't include my wife and son as that would have dropped my score and the money to move once no be here, but I added them to my application as not accompanying, now I'm being asked why, is it safe to say lack of funds or a more diplomatic excuse? Pls anyone with experience should help as I'm in uncharted waters.
2.Can a brother in law stand as a relative when the wife is included in the application but not accompanying.
Thanks once again. |

nneomac89: NEWS ALERT!! ✈️The Easiest Method to Successfully Get a Permanent Residence & Relocate to Canada Within 6 - 9 Months✈️‼️
A few years ago, a colleague of mine; Mr. Daniel Ola abandoned his ‘well-paid’ job in Nigeria and relocated with his family to Canada
To be honest, the process wasn’t as easy as the line above made it look. He was quoted a lot of money when he contacted travel agents.
Then after several attempts, he found a way that didn’t require dealing with any agent, and he told me he ended up spending only a fraction of what the agents that failed him had collected from him.
Mr. Ola now lives and works in Canada with his wife and kids, and he has decided to help as many Nigerians as he can who are interested in relocating to Canada.
He has put together a video presentation and a blueprint that explains step by step how anyone interested enough can leverage a newly launched Canada Immigration program to legally relocate to Canada as soon as this pandemic is over.
In case you are like me that have tried relocating to Canada but haven’t found luck, let me give you a hint.
This new program;
❎ Does not require high IELTS Scores (CLB 5 is all you need)
❎ Does not require proof of funds (you would have a job on arrival)
✅ Requires very minimal educational qualifications (any post-secondary qualification)
❎ And has no age restrictions.
WhatsApp me on 08036313862 to watch the presentation. Funny guy. Give the presentation here on nairaland so that everyone can benefit. Presentation on WhatsApp indeed. |

olajumoke15: Hello, I am new on this trend but I really need assistance on how to go about applying for Canada Express entry...what is the first step to take...Moreover, is IELTS for Express entry the same as the one to apply for schools...shd in case a person does not score up to required score for Express entry, if she can divert it for school instead From my little knowledge the first step is ECA (educational certificate verification) then IELTS. The type of IELTS used for immigration is the General G. And no you cannkt use the General IELTS for study. (IELTS academic is used for study) |

Tyola: I've been working in a university for almost a decade now. University job is not solely teaching, but it also covers research and development. MSc study is part of his research duties to the university. Based on the rules and guidelines of working in a university, he has worked for three years. He is not doing anything fishy.
The main responsibility of a graduate assistant is to ensure he runs his/her research towards earning an MSc degree within the first three years of employment. Some universities will even terminate your appointment if you fail to earn an MSc within the first three years. Although he/she is on study leave, such a person is expected to affiliate his/her publications to his Uni. This covers his duty of "conducting research" If he has assisted in teaching during his first few months or when he comes for holidays (In my Uni we don't allow grad assistants to teach), his HOD can add that to his duties in the reference letter. He is expected to conduct any duty assigned to him by the HOD (for example while studying, depending on the level of understanding between the staff, you may be asked to assist with editing articles for journals hosted by the department, assisting with preparation for conference to be hosted by your dept, etc)
In recap, while he is filing for promotion, the years he spent on study leave will be counted as part of his years of experience, that is why NUC recommended that an academic staff on study leave could be promoted once while on fellowship. Thus his three years is part of his years of experience. Thank you sir. This is so educative to me. I am also an academic staff of a university. |

YesLadyN: As someone in a similar position, I don’t think you have any issue claiming 3years experience as long as your research is relevant to fulfilling your role as a GA. In fact you cannot progress in academics without further studies.
And in actual sense, while you were away gathering requisite postgraduate experience for your job, the university recognized you as their full-time staff. You were still EMPLOYED! Therefore, your job description during that 3-year period is covered by, and the same as your PG experience.
More so, if you have to sum your total work experience in academia, you wouldn’t subtract your years of study leave, will you?
Be convinced of these facts and present a strong justification in your LOE for the VOs review. Let the VO see a strong link below your job description as a GA and any technical skill learned/applied during your research. Very true |
