Elohim24, please forgive me if this sounds harsh in anyway, that is not my intention, I've just seen enough people give up or go the wrong route after getting the "wrong advice".
No problem senor, I wasn't sure with the advice but I just felt with 474 he could get ITA even with newly created profile.

Hello people. If you have taken biometrics before for a canada temporary visa in the past, will one still be required to take it again to apply for PR now?

at bolded show us on ircc website or gcms notes where this was stated. I worked in an audit firm where only a few studied accounting and were not yet chartered. They are in canada now. Nothing like prerequisite educational qualification. Next

Does your NOC require being chartered or just a bachelor. You may visit your NOC to answer. If it requires being a chartered accountant as the primary qualification to work as an accountant and you had just B.Sc Biochemistry and it was approved, all good.

NOC Elders, please advice. Where the LEAD STATEMENT of the NOC refers to more than one profession like NOC 4211 for paralegals, notary publics and other occupations, can I take only the part of the lead statement talking about paralegals and leave out the rest since it encompasses more than one profession?
Thank you. @mamaroon and others please help.

good answer, God bless u for this. Thats what some people don't know. If your NOC requires a specific qualification and you don't have it, and yet you applied for it and were given PR, good for you. But the safe landing is to have whatever qualifications is need for a particular NOC, simple!
Please kindly refrain from speaking on what you dont know please.
Cic clearly stated they will wont take into cognizanc employment requirement in respect to any NOC in PR processing... https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/economic-classes/federal-skilled-workers/assessing-applications-against-minimum-requirements.html

we cannot be calming down. Many have been misled knowingly or otherwise. I know someone who mised ITA in the days of 450s because someone in Canada told her POF must use 6 months in the account.

NaijaGoingMaple:

Every NOC has basic qualification requirements. For instance, if a 2-year diploma in a college or university is all that is required to practice in my declared occupation - NOC XYZ, the work experience that will count will be that after my diploma and not work done pre diploma. So if my declared NOC has professional degree eg for medical doctors, then on the job experience will be after obtaining my MBBS.
Except you are claiming work experience in a regulated occupation such as doctors, nurses, pharmacist and so forth, the employment requirement doesn't necessarily have to match your degree. You can study computer science and work in an advertising firm, Canada accepts this. All they need from you is the reference stating that you worked whatever roles you are claiming and also that you got paid for it.

I doubt this. Work experience he got before his highest certificate should be valid. Btw even work experience gain during your studies is valid if it's a paid employment.
Yes, for FSW. Work experience during studies doesn't count if you are CEC.

I believe you can go with the lead statement for paralegals only. Just as you would go for the duties listed under paralegal only and not bother with notary etc. They have already bifurcated split 4211 into 4 different jobs so just pick yours and ensure it matches JD.

grin But some people are frustrated by the DIY nature of the thread and are hell-bent on derailing it by gaming it. So no matter how hard and long you preach, they're composing the next set of ridiculous comments as I reply you. Kudos to those constantly dedicating their time to setting the records straight.

I am thinking of 1242 maybe you should check it out.
Daboll:
Hello house,
Please I will appreciate if someone can help me out please. I was called to bar in December 2017, I started working with a law firm immediately. I never received a specific salary, was on commission on deals executed. In September 2019, I travelled to the Uk for my masters(currently still there) but I still been doing some jobs remotely for my firm.
Before my call to bar I did my nysc at ministry of justice. In 2016

Before my NYsc I was doing some jobs with this same law firm, a friend owns the friend and I was working with him immediately I finished uni in 2015, then went for nysc and continued after I was called to the bar till date.

Please my confusion;

1) for NOC I had to put 4211 (paralegal) because honestly didn’t go to court, my jobs have been strictly corporate law. And I saw for 4112, I had to be called to the bar and I can’t claim 3years work experience because I was called in December 2017. (Please I am also not sure in this, will appreciate clarity pls)

2) If I get to use 4211 ; that’s corporate paralegal, can
Ask my firm to note I started working with the firm from 2015 till date to avoid the hassle of Nysc reference letter? Since that NOC required a college degree and I had already obtained on by then. And just use one firm as my work experience?

Please I don’t even know if I’m making sense. Please I’m a bit confused about this, I have read all through but I’m still somehow confused.
Please I’ll appreciate any help here or my email is gracefiled26@gmail.com for further help please .. thank you.

I have been a silent reader here for soo long before signing up some few months ago. I just learn silently from the seniors here and it has helped me throughout my application process.
I just had to break the ice because I quite understand the back and forth between @kekereekun123 and @NaijaGoingMaple. From what I have learnt here and my so many google researches every job has a basic requirement which means if you don't qualify for that job and you have been working on the said job then it is quite questionable. This doesn't have anything to do with what you actually studied but the degree you have.
To break things down, a clear example is a research assistant Vs a lecturer... they might be doing jobs that are closely related but what elevates a R.A to a Lecturer no matter how high you go is just a Masters Degree. Hence it is safe to say you cannot call yourself a Lecturer without having a Master's Degree and not necessarily the course studied to get this degree (which I think is the misconception here because courses are being mentioned).
Same as if the requirement for you to be a bank manager is a Bachelors degree(I didn'tlook this up just stating it as an example) then any other degree gathered is just for your own points.
This is not in the case of Saks PNP where what you studied actually matters...

. You did not see this screenshot ba Please don't quote me again. Typing trash with confidence. The owner of the program clearly stated their position. ITK Nigerians are bringing their own interpretation. There are lots of managers abroad who only have secondary schools or college. Ability and performance matters over there too not only degrees.
