There is no true unlimited plan on MTN broadband.

MTN will rather pack up than provide truly unlimited data plans

Ohk,thanks for the heads up

How much does the monthly subscription cost and do they have a customer service number one can reach out to??
Residential plan (which i am on) is 57K/Month. Dunno about other plans

If you have any issue with your starlink, you can reach out to customer care from your account profile by opening a ticket and lodging your complaints. They will attend to you

Thank you brother man

But why is the activation price on the mini kit that more expensive than the standard kit??

Will it work where our local telcos network won’t work??

I’ll be grateful for your answers sir
I think the activation price is set that high to discourage new clients from on boarding where the spaces are full or so limited

Starlink works everywhere in Nigeria

My point exactly is that paying 57k monthly will be costlier than paying a single fee for a month.
Ok oooo

If dem do one year sub at 620k, you no go prefer am over paying monthly?

Yearly is often cheaper.
I don't understand.

57K*12= 684K
My card detail is on my starlink profile and gets debited monthly.. I don't need to do anything. Starlink does the rest

So, kindly explain to me how 57K monthly is cheaper than 684K/year asides time value of money and the stress you go through when starlink debits your card monthly

Bro, won't solve your problem. The router doesn't have the best coverage and that's mostly coz starlink runs their frequencies on 40 / 80 MHz. They focus on speed and not on distance. Also their WiFi radio antenna not the best for distance.

Solution is to go buy a 3rd party router, link both up via cable or wirelessly and spread that WiFi to any where you want, even if you want to extend from your home to your work place 😁
Yea.. Forgot to add i also used a 3rd party router to extend my coverage from my bedroom upstairs to my living room downstairs

Starlink router.. Inside my bedroom for up

3rd party rounter (Tp Link)... Inside my living room downstairs

Both are routers are split 2.4 and 5Ghz

Do you know how further 2.4GHZ can go, away from the walls of the building and fence?
My 2.4Ghz for my sitting room dey reach my gate and nearly house opposite me

Try and see

Guys please how do you solve the very poor WiFi range issue?

The router is connected inside the room and won't be strong or even reachable once outside even at 30m range.

Mtn router surprisingly has more WiFi range than StarLink router.

Am I the only one experiencing this?
Go to your Starlink app and split the frequency between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz

The 2.4Ghz frequency can travel far while the 5Ghz is very fast when you are closer

With this, you should be fine.. The 2.4Ghz will be with all the way as you move further away from the router, while the 5Ghz will hug so much as you get closer to it smiley

If I understand correctly, is it illegal to download series or other entertainment services from third-party sites like we are used to with our local internet providers? Could this ever be grounds for banning people from accessing star link services that was paid for with our hard earned money? angry

Hello Everyone

Please how can I extend my starlink mini connection

It was placed on the roof ( my house is a one storey building built with concrete) I stay downstairs.

I can’t get to use it where I work inside the house. The network inside my apartment is low or sometimes not showing up.

Please I will appreciate any solution.
I got Starlink Ethernet adapter cos in my case our router didn't come with any extra hole for 3rd party router.

Bought another router and connected it to my main Starlink router

My main router sits in my bedroom upstairs while my 3rd party router dey downstairs for my sitting room connected with network cable.. Boom.. Internet everywhere

By the way, apparently Starlink added more specs to their Nigerian hardware in Lagos yesterday. Those in Lagos and other places where capacity is still low should enjoy Starlink even the more. An engineer posted the attached screenshot yesterday on Reddit.
I will check this once i get home from work today
