Where's TB Joshua, Chris and other miracle working pastors when you need them?

oh! I forgot they only heal relatively unknown people, no popular person has been healed by our pastors

it appears once you're popular, you can never be healed from serious diseases by our pastors, but we hear of healings everyday, unknown people getting raised from the dead, deaf hearing, blind seeing, lame walking, cancer healed, "Permanent erection" healed, Robbers running away on sighting a picture of Oyedepo etc but Ayefele is still in a wheelchair, Cobhams is still blind as he was from birth, Yemi Tella died of cancer, Dora Akunyili too

could all these televised miracles be a shamhuh
my Bro is not a sham like you said. The thing there is that they (the people you mentioned) should go the men of God and see what will happen then you will know that there's a God that is still very alive doing the miracles. you don't expect those men of God to be looking for people to heal them. If you need healing you go to them and receive what your faith can carry

they definitely dont say that. however, there are other ways by which they behave that passes the same message as the praying in the name of the god of oyedepo
please which other way. how many times have pst Chris come to your church and say those other way. Let me tell you something, some things that people do doesn't necessarily mean Pst Chris is aware of them if at all they do the other things in local own local church. The issue of collecting money in LCA is to control traffic mind u the programme is stream live all over the world so how much do you think 1 thousand naira can cover. more so the facility can only accommodate 20k people and am aware u know what they call stampede, if it happens now people like you will come and start saying pst Chris has killed people in his church. how much did you pay when you went for IPPC or ICLC.

how come you didn't even make mention of the nice things going in the healing school giving hopeless situation hope through the power of the holy spirit or have you seen or heard him give glory to himself for what is going on in the healing school. how about the inner city mission school, sending street children back to school free of charge. This ones u didn't see in CE.

2. Sin Means Nothing at CE
Their teaching regarding to sin is so liberal. They rarely even mention it. The belief is that a Christian cannot sin, but only do wrong. The implicit message here is that ‘if you are saved, you are always saved’. You are a son of God and nothing you do or do not do can change the fact. In other words, heaven is sure. I am really not versed in the Bible to argue with this but what I know is that, this teaching is dangerous. It is like giving one a blank cheque or immunity from sin. What you have is a morally decadent church, starting from the top. Sexual sins are so rampant. You must have read the allegations of Pst Anita against her husband, that he was screwing some top female pastors. Such allegations are common in the church and I believe Pst Anita was very naïve in not understanding what was happening under her nose for decades!

It is not just PSt Chris that has been accused of fornication; his younger brother Rev Ken was also accused of impregnating a member of the South African Church when he pastored it. My friend who was in the church at that time (he also has left) told me that in all practical terms, Rev Ken had a harem in SA, with all manners of girls, mainly young university girls, living in his house. His wife was leading the church at Isolo, Lagos at that time. Apart of the Oyakhilome brothers, sin (or wrong-doing since a Christian cannot sin, according to their belief) is very common among the pastors and laity. Including me. I did a lot of things I’m not proud of as a leader, including fornication. But what struck me is that I was going numb, conscienceless in the church. No message speaks to my struggles to stay upright and not to sin. They do not even talk about such things. The focus of the messages is often on how to be successful, perhaps so you can give more money!

In summary, at CE, sin means nothing!
if someone that has not attended CE put up this write I will just blame ignorance as the motivation of his write up but since he is coming from an X member that's y I am educating you d best way I can. have you listen to Pst Chris message on the man, the message and the mandate and also Christ consciousness if u haven't pls do ursef a favour and listen to it. because u might just be saying this you didn't understand. not attending CE is a guarantee that you understand the message Bro. For others I will also enjoy u to listen to those messages after that u can go ahead to support the Op at least by then ignorance wouldn't b ur companion. sorry if I sounded harsh

3. Pastor Chris is the orthodoxy
In CE, Pst Chris is the standard; he is the orthodoxy of the word of God. He is in fact treated like God. His words are law. He could cancel engagements, delay marriages and, in my mother’s language, can do and undo!
Everything revolves around him. He has limitless powers and not inhibited by anything.

And what do they say about absolute power corrupts absolutely?

Exactly what you have in the church. No one dares challenge him. In a godly environment, there should have been some enquiry in to the crisis of his marriage with the objective to mend the issues. But no one dares even raise such issues. People like Joe Agbaje are prepared to lie for him. I recall a time when the issue of PST Chris living separately from his wife came up here, Joe Agbaje defended him, claiming that the couple see often and even go on romantic get-away. It was not true. To all intents and purpose, the man abandoned his wife and family in London while gallivanting around the world with his concubines. This was wrong, but who could challenge the KING? The man had also warned members never to discuss pastors and that they should run away where such matters are being discussed. What you have is a situation where people are so afraid to even consider the allegations against him, so as not to be consumed by fire! SMH!!!

With such a context, the man can get away with anything, including polygamy. He can rewrite the bible, claiming that some portions or verses were not clearly written. He can do ANYTHING, and the staunch members and the pastors would defend him. I mean ANYTHING.

They deify him, call him the ‘Jesus in white suit,’ ‘the Jesus of our time’ and such heresies.
Two personal experiences really got me worried.

A. I was in church one day when a leader in a talk show said, “Pst Chris is not only in Ikeja or Lagos. His spirit is even here right now’’. I was shocked by the comments and obvious deification of a mere mortal. But when the pastor came up, he did not rebuke the speaker or said anything about it. I left for home, thinking hard: What has happened to these people?
B. Th other one was during prayer. The person leading the prayer asked us to pray so that the message of PST Chris will take over the world. Message of Pst Chris? I asked myself. I thought we came there because of the gospel/message of Christ? Does Pst Chris have a different message? Of course, I didn’t participate in that prayer but I was shocked that no one saw anything wrong in this, which validated my growing belief that the church was veering out of the Christian lane into something else.

I will stop here for now. But if challenged by the minions of the church, I have more arsenals. Good day and God bless you.
please learn to say things the way they are. since you were in CE, have ever heard that members should pray to the God of Pst Chris like other churches do.

I have not posted in a while but if you have followed my previous posts, you would know that I used to attend Christ Embassy Church, even though I had reservations about some of their teachings. I finally left the church, phew!
I will use this thread to explain why I quit the church and why I may never attend another Pentecostal/Charismatic church which now appears to me like a sole proprietorship, with the General Overseer or lead pastor as the owner.

1. Excessive premium on Giving money

In Christ Embassy the number one thing they lay emphasis on is giving money. The church can use any tactic to get money from members, including manipulation, threats and the likes. While there is nothing wrong with giving money or time, I believe everything should be balanced and moderate. I think that was why St Paul said we should not give out of target, or threat but as we decide in our heart. In CE, there is nothing like moderation or balance when it comes to giving. They tend to believe literally that everything answers to money. You don’t have a job, give and sow seed. You are infertile, give and sow seed. Your father is sick, give and sow seed. Every message ends with a charge to give money. They collect tithes, offerings, partnerships (money), seeds (more money), first fruits (your whole income in January) and plethora of others.

You are also charged to give for Pastor Chris’s birthday and for all the other pastors. And for projects and the likes too.

Before I started worshipping with the Church, I read the story of the account clerk at the Sheraton Hotel who stole from his employers to give to the church. As a member, I could relate with the man. The Church is obsessed with money. They do not mind how or where you get it. If you want to rise or be noticed or win awards, just give big money. It is this obsession with money that led it to start collecting gate fees from members for its New Year Service at the LoveWorld Convocation Arena in Lagos, which ironically was built by the offerings of the members charged to get in. A lot of people I know personally had gone broke, had their businesses ruined, or fallen out with a loved one because of this teaching by the church.

In summary, at CE, money is everything- EVERYTHING.
you see in CE they never force anyone to give. If u give is for your own good. During ur time there has it been anytime u didn't give and the project wasn't executed. at least CE is one church where you notice that is not only the pastors are that ae rich members too. and hope you are aware that CE pastor are not paid and yet non are broke. reason becos of their giving life style. people follow what works for them.

look young man let me tell you something, you said they asked the church to pray for pst Chris message. I want to ask a question the message was it pastor Chris name that was mentioned or Jesus. anyway I can see that the time u took attending CE u never learn God's word b cos if u did even if you want to leave u will not sound like this. After all u r not the 1st person that have left the church. people that are there u are not in any way better of than them. I didn't judge u but just to let you know that there is no message of pastor Chris but God's message preach by pastor Chris. If u want Papa Adeboye message to purchase what will you say u want to buy the word of God abi.

Christianity EtcShe Missed It by georgeike2(op): 1:50pm On Feb 08, 2017
AT LAST HE MISSED IT
Please read, so it won't happen to you too.
It all happened on sunday morning; it rained the
previous night.
I slept late on Saturday night and thus, woke up
late. My church service starts by 8am but when I
opened my eyes, it was exactly 8:12 am.
I sprang up from my matress, removing my
blapresses quickly as I can and didn't even
bother to bathe. Brushing my teeth within ten
seconds, I wore my already pressed clothes and
ran off to church.
My roommate was still sleeping but I didn't think
he planned going to church at all. So without
saying goodbye or waking him up, I left the
room.
When I stepped out, I saw some young students
of the fellowship who meet in front of my hostel.
They were just setting up in preparation for their
service. I think they start theirs around 9am.
The way the weather was, with the clouds dark
and heavy, everywhere looked gloom and quiet
but in my hurry, I took no time to observe. or
relish the remarkable atmosphere.
As I walked and ran on the tarred narrow road,
just some distance from my hostel, I saw two
girls sitting on a pavement and crying. They were
dressed for church but with the way they sat and
clinged to each other, weeping, I doubt if they
would still go to church that day.
Though many passers-by like me walked and
paused to stare at them, they were clearly
unconcerned. They cried uncontrollably that even
their shouts of pain made my heart flutter.
I thought about going to them and trying to
console them but I was late for service myself.
My conscience tortured me a great deal but
when I glanced at my wristwatch, it was already
8:32 am.
'I am late. I have to go'. I told myself as I
continued on my path.
Well, after few minutes, I made it to church
eventually.
Except for a guy I saw who rested his head
against a wall by the road, I didn't notice any
other strange thing till I got to church.
But when I entered the church, it was another
sight I beheld.
The backdrop of the altar and the designs of the
pulpit and walls of the venue were already set up
but I didn't. see the Pastor.
In fact, I didn't see any of the church leaders.
The church was scanty.
Except for two ushers and three choristers I saw,
most of the workers I knew were not present.
There were some members present though. But
every single person in the building was looking
lost. The brother beside me was even shedding
tears without crying.
I too was getting afraid.
And then all of a sudden, a lady cried out just
behind me.
It was so sudden and the sound was so laced
with pain and fear that I was afraid the worst
had happened.
This is when I dropped my Bible on a chair and
had a deliberate look of the whole church.
In the left corner of the front which was
designated as choir stand, three sisters placed
their heads on the table in front of them; shaking
their heads and body in that manner some people
do when praying silenEvent
Just behind them was yet another sister who sat
on the bare floor, with one of her shoes nowhere
near her. Even her scarf was hung around her
neck.
I recognized the sister.
She led choruses in the evening service we had
the. previous Thursday.
But now, the sweet voice I heard turned to a
painful mutter of incomprehensible words. She
held on to the corner of a table with her two
hands, and wept as she said things I didn't
understand.
At this point, I knew this could only mean one
thing but I didn't want to believe it. I couldn't
just bring myself to believing it.
I couldn't.
I was still pondering on what all these mean
when an older man sitting two chairs before me
stood up suddenly and shouted with a voice
crackled, broken and almost lost.
'Lord God! Please have mercy!'
By now, my heart was heavy and I could not
explain a certain fear that clinged to my heart.
To remove all doubts, I approached one of our
ushers so I can ask for explanations. I almost
stopped in my stride as I became afraid of what
his answer might bid for me.
I walked to the rear of the church and stood in
front of him but he didn't even take notice.
His eyes were opened, he was looking at me but
with his empty and hopeless gaze at
nothingness, I realized he was looking through
me.
I called at him and touched the shoulder of his
right hand before he blinked and looked at my
face.
'Please Bro Paul what is happening today? Is the
service elsewhere?' I asked with a voice fearful
and low.
The usher dropped his eyes from looking at me
and shook his head.
New tears began to streak through the corner of
his eyes and his lips shook as he tried to hold
himself from complete breakdown.
He raised his head again and returned his eyes,
with tears, to me.
He started to speak but lost his voice again.
'My brother...' He finally managed to say.
He held his very wet handkerchief to his face as
he tried to stop the infinitely-flowing tears.
Then he heaved so deeply I thought I heard his
lungs relax.
'Bro Victor...' He started again amidst silent
sobs.
'...we are lost. The Rapture has happened. We
are doomed for life.'
Though I knew all along this would be the news,
hearing it with my ears broke my heart. I mean I
felt it in my heart. My heart sank, ached and
broke.
I staggered and almost lost balance as I moved
backwards, trying to hide from the weight of the
news; trying to escape from the impending doom
the usher pronounced.
But he wasn't done.
The usher released all the pent up tears of
anguish and pain he has bravely been holding
back and cried with all his might.
All I could make out from his voice was 'God,
Please. God, Please'.
He said it over and over again amidst sobs and
cries.
As if to really show he was really desperate, Bro
Paul threw himself on the ground and prostrated
full with his two hands clasped and his eyes
looking to the heavens.
He begged God again and again, asking for
mercy and pleading for another chance.
He cried and wept continously and when he
couldn't say anymore, he just lied there and
cried.
By now, I had managed to sit down on a bench
placed behind the church as I looked around in
unbelief.
I didn't shout or cry at first. I just sat there
looking around with tears already blocking my
visions. My nose became clogged with phlegm
and my throat was dry.
With tears flowing down my cheek, I raised my
hand to my mouth as I tried to hold myself from
weeping.
But it did no good.
I cried, cried and cried quietly, still with my hand
holding back my mouth from releasing. my voice
with the pain and regrets it held.
Many thoughts crossed my mind- the fire of hell,
the great tribulation, the suffering that awaits
and many others but only one stayed.
I realized I would be alone in the world now.
My mom would be gone. My dad would be gone.
All my sisters and brothers would be gone. While
only I remained just because I found pleasure in
sin.
The sudden loneliness this realization brought to
my heart crushed it forever.
I dropped my hands from my mouth and cried.
Oh! I cried like I never did.
I wept and called out to God to forgive me but
even I knew I was lost forever.
'Had I know! Had I know!' The thought tortured
me.
Liquids dropped from my nostrils and tears from
my eyes, a heavy ache hammered at my chest
as I cried again and asked to be forgiven of all
my sins but even then I knew there is no respite
for me.
In the blur of my vision, I saw the sister-choriste
r still kneeling and recognized her voice as she
sang that hymn of warning we always sang in
our church.
With her broken voice, sobs and tears between
the words of the song, she added more pain to
my already damned soul.
'...oh! what a weeping and wailing
As the lost were told of their fate
They cried for the rocks and the mountains
They prayed but their prayer was too late...' She
sang on and on.
The song had no melody this time, just sorrow.
I stopped my ears with my hands and refused to
hear more but the lyrics taunted me still.
I knew all my prayers were useless but I
anguished and cried to God more loudly.
It was in the middle of this other round of
hopeless tears and prayers that I laid my head on
the table and slept for sorrow.
When I woke up, I was on my bed, back in my
room.
My pillow and cover-cloth were soaked in my
own tears. Though I wasn't wearing any clothes,
I was covered in sweat.
I searched for my phone and glanced at the
clock.
It was 4.22am.
I had barely slept for three hours.
I realized It was all a dream but the relief that
filled my heart was swiftly replaced with a great
fear.
I stood up from my bed and looked around but
nothing seemed out of place.
I saw my roommate still sleeping with earphones
still plugged to his ears.
I looked outside and saw it was indeed darkest in
the dawn.
Having made sure I was still safe and not lost
yet, I knelt beside my bed, used my pillow to
cover my mouth and cried in desperate prayers.
I prayed to be saved before it is too late. I knelt
that way, weeping and asking God for mercy until
I slept off.
And indeed when I woke and looked at my time,
it was 8:12am and I was late for church...
.
.
.
This story was written to give warning to all who
woke up today with breath still in their nostrils
and words still in their mouth.
Seek God while He may be found. Call upon him
while he still listens. Make your ways right with
God before it is too late and you are lost forever.
The pain I tried to write into this fiction is
negligible when compared to the pain that awaits
all those who miss the rapture- or die without
salvation.
You have a chance today. Take it. Repent and be
save
Please share, copy and paste or forward, just
make sure everyone reads.
We will not miss it!

Watch your tongue careful, for it dictates the direction of your life. Your mouth was primarily given to you by God to navigate your destiny and not to eat and talk only. If you use it wisely, you will enjoy it but if you use it wrongly, you will sure not going to escape the consequences. Most of the challenges we are facing today is not the devil but as a result of the use of our tongue.

“A man’s stomach will be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; He will be satisfied with the consequence of his words. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.”
‭‭PROVERBS‬ ‭18:20-21‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Your mouth is the doorway from your spirit into the physical. Whatever you allow out of it is what will become in your life. Your mouth has the creative ability to produce with it talks about. If you use it to complain, talk defeat, failure, sickness or poverty, that's exactly what your future will turn out to be eventually. But if you use it to beautify your life, your future, your business, your marriage, your children, your finances or your health, that's exactly what you will get. Start talking words of faith, hope and joy into your future, your marriage, children, finances or your business. Say what you want to see in your business, your marriage, your children, finances etc, and stop complaining about what you are experiencing. Complaining about your problem will not solve it but addressing the problem with God's word of faith and hope, will surely make a big difference. Understand, whatever you say always you will become someday.

Remain blessed.
