Politics / Re: Another Approach To The South African Attacks By Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu by Georgeokez: 9:40pm On Apr 29, 2015
garrix8:

You GEJ supporters are very myopic, clannish and unreasonable. The main thrust of the article is what can be done to take care of the situation and ensure the well being of our people over there.

Tinubu has given suggestions which are wise, practical and easy to implement. Where in the article did he criticise Jonathan?? Our Ambassador was recalled (maybe not by Jonathan) and Tinubu only pointed out why that movement would be counterproductive while at the same time making sensible recommendations.

Thank God GEJ has been booted out, at least we will be spared some of these idiotic defense of a failed and clueless oaf as from May 29th.
Thank God that we still have pple who have the ability to comprehend a text posted. Sometimes u wonder if pple don't read, understand or even process the words they read or hear. The article was indeed intended to procure a shift and effective solution and not even close to passing any blame at anyone for any decision made, he simply dished out a good advise which if followed would better the situation. It's funny how pple make sentimental remarks that have absolutely nothing to do with the current status quo. What every one needs is good advise like this to help better calm the situation. My point is simple, pple should stop to think before making comments that are in this context senseless and unreasonable.

Programming / Re: Android Code Competition For Nigerian Developers - The result is out by Georgeokez: 10:08am On Dec 17, 2014
Its a good concept and this should indeed encourage guys like us trying to get our hands busy doing good stuff. But i have just one question for this competition. What are the category's that we are to code for, e.g category's like busy apps, social apps, administrative apps, games, etc. Or are we just to submit any kind of application that just does some random stuff?
Romance / Re: Women Are Not Always The Problem In Relationships by Georgeokez: 2:58pm On Jan 05, 2014
Mondisweets: was the instruction not given to adam by God?
And pls did Adam not instruct Eve his wife on the instructions given by God pls read genesis 3 verses 1 to the end to see the entire fault from the woman's side , and still like I said I didn't condemn the woman completely, like u said eve did not place a knife to his neck but still u should see the issue between man and woman is an age long thing I don't think pointing fingers would change any thing. The truth is I need u as much as u need me the 2 cannot co exist separately

Mondisweets: God told Adam (not Eve) not to eat from the tree, if he knew any better he would have listened to God. Nowhere in the bible did it state that Eve put a machete behind his head and forced him to eat grin its a choice he made and acted upon it
Pls what kind of defense for women is this, how would u say that God told Adam not Eve did u read the book of genesis 3 before commenting where the serpent asked eve if God had told THEM not to eat of any tree pls where did u get ur facts from is completely wrong the fact is the woman did first fall and no one is persecuting her for it but u trying to shift things to the man by saying that God told Adam not Eve if uncalled for.

Education / Re: should i study agric? by Georgeokez: 1:24pm On Jan 05, 2014
Bro just liked the first guy who commented said, accept the course while still in school get this years jamb form and study for it 1 the University is a wonderful environment to learn and study 2 if ur quite serious about it while in school u could become fortunate that somehow things might look bright in the course ur pursuing. Pls don't let any one tell u that studying medicine is a childish dream cos it's not I know friends of mine how were determined to study it and didn't quit no matter want, just keep perceiving and I sincerely trust God that he would see u true. Never quit on ur dream if not u would be like the losers who would write to u dat it can't be done probably because they could not do. So I repeat never quit on the dream

alutacontinua: I hate to say it nd i wanna apologize in advance to all my nairaland paddies but the truth remains most guys are ugly! undecided undecided
Come do people actually think b4 posting tins online? Hw can u just conclude that most guys ar ugly like u can make a face. Come, can one person truly define beauty for me so that one can use this as standard, cos my likes might vary from ur's and that's not a crime. Have u not heard that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" . So please I'd like someone anywhere to define handsomeness and ugly for me. Hmmm!
Career / Re: 10 Signs Someone Is Smarter Than You. by Georgeokez: 7:50am On Oct 05, 2013
manny4life: Going by what was written, I can authoritatively say that the average Nigerian isn't smart because

a. We talk too much, more often than we listen

b. Nigerians like to demean people, make others look silly which is one thing I hate

3. Nigerians place SO MUCH emphasis on education, what type of school, OAU is better than Unilag

4. When thing go badly, they're the first to complain, yell, scream shout and look for others to blame but themselves

5. Yes, Nigerians have the habit of "I'm smarter than you" or I know book pass you...

And the list continues

Now Nairalander, am I wrong?
Not really wrong but, when you judge smartness one should truly look at the whole package like one can be smart but not educated and visa versa. And I do believe that the average Nigerian man is smart, might not be educated but still smart. The guys definition of smart is quite insufficient to describe a smart person.

Guy I can't find OAU here cos I can say that not all uni's ar that bad, OAU at the least can stand out
