The MOST important thing is that Iran has agreed to open the Strait of Hormuz.

Any other point on the ceasefire deal is mere RANT.

US and Israel have achieved their goals in Iran significantly. A regime change has happened.

Iran has lost it's sovereignty as US and Israel can just stroll in anyhow and cut them to size. Iran has been reduced to Yemen.

I hope Iran does not collapse into civil war when all this is over.

Nigerians are naturally productive people, but how far can productivity go when the most basic structures are missing? Look at electricity alone.

The epileptic power supply is destroying small businesses. A friend running a dry-cleaning shop is spending huge amounts on generators and fuel every week. In Nigeria, the cost of energy compared to income is one of the highest anywhere in the world.

The same thing applies to transportation. Why can’t someone stay in Auchi and easily sell to a bigger market like Benin, which is just about 126 km away? A trip that should take under three hours becomes a major challenge simply because the roads are terrible. Bad infrastructure closes markets and suffocates growth.

Access to capital and high initial start-up cost due to inflation is also a problem, it will cost you over 1 million naira to start a dry cleaning business (basic business) Not because the business is naturally expensive, but because you're forced to provide power, water, security, and other things the system should already have and come to think about it, how many people has 1 million naira in Nigeria?

Nigeria’s problem isn’t that its people are lazy or unproductive. The real challenge is that we are operating in an environment where you must first build your own mini-government before you can run a simple business. Until basic infrastructure is fixed, productivity will remain low, and growth will continue to be slow.

SaharaReporters obtained a notice sent to customers on Wednesday afternoon by Moniepoint, informing users of the impending implementation of the VAT
regime on certain electronic banking charges.

According to the notice, the development is tied to a directive from tax authorities mandating financial institutions to begin VAT collection and remittance.

“We would like to inform you of an upcoming government-endorsed regulatory change regarding Value Added Tax (VAT),” the notice stated.

It added, “From Monday, 19 January 2026, we are required to collect a 7.5% VAT, to be remitted to the Nigerian Revenue Service (NRS) (formerly known as the Federal Inland Revenue Service).”

The company disclosed that the tax will apply to “certain banking services,” including “electronic banking charges such as mobile banking fees (transfers), USSD transaction fees and card issuance fee.”

What did I just read, that Wike is threatening to publish an agreement 🤝 reached with Fubara for peace. What gave him that audacity to challenge a sitting governor armed with credible evidence of the looting of Rivers under his government, except that Fubara is a COWARD, who dies many times before his real death.

If I was the Accountant-General of a state, I should have credible information that would hold my principal in checks. If i have such information and I have the power of a governor, my former principal will be at my Beck and call. If after all these opportunities, I am still being harassed by a former governor, I am a "coward of the county".
Let's bring it home, as Chief Executive Governor, Fubara has access to credible evidences of stolen Commonwealth of Rivers State people. For such a person, you have to put the individual in checks.

First, institute a probe of all financial activities from 2015 to 2023. Publish a white paper on it and have it Gazetted with all stolen monies, assets, etc and commence court cases to retrieve them one by one from the thieves.

Secondly, begin marking properties that were obtained without due process for demolition. Use your official power as governor to coerce councillors to impeach any errant LGA chairman. Tell me any councilor or chairman who does not have skeletons in his cupboard.

Push to remove any Chief Justice not in governor's side. First institute audit of all judicial expenses under the CJ. Call him to government house to explain all frauds in the judiciary. If he or she is not ready to play ball, send him/her file to EFCC.,with your current position as an APC governor.
Once you have the CJ on your side, the Assembly can go to hell.
