It is a pity how Christians are frightened and afraid of the events of these last days... Hadn't Jesus said it would come?.. the last time I checked He never lied nd will never lie..We are nt to find these shocking as the heathens do, but to be prepared for the coming of Christ not to be running wiry direction.. to be prepared to stand firm for nd in the Gospel of truth because of the soon coming persecutions..
It is a pity that some Christians would be carried away by all the events nd chaos around.. Didn't the Bible say " a thousand by thy side, ten thousand by thy right hand, but it shall not come near thee"?... these signs are to make us more aware of the coming of Christ, instead we are running to where the heathens hide..when the Bible specifically said "he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the Almighty... He is my refuge nd fortress..."
So why all the noise nd rumbles from the camp of the children of God? We are to strengthen ourselves from outside attack, yet fear nd cowardice allows us to attack ourselves. The Bible says "God has nt given us the spirit of fear but of power love nd sound mind ".. Where is the power?? Where is the love?? Or minds are nt even at peace!!
This is because most Christians no longer have the Holy Spirit.. Oh! Yes they have Him but have made Him dormant in their lives by taking His post nd duties in their lives. He is to guide us on how to live. But most live based on their principles (that was imbibed into them from those in the world) and experiences of those in the world..they act completely like the heathens do. thereby quenching the Spirit..
This is the era of the Holy Spirit.. this is the most crucial point when we need the Holy Spirit more because of the persecutions arising.. look at the life of Peter, b4 he was baptized with the Holy Spirit he couldn't stand for Christ. Denied Him thrice, but when he received the Holy Spirit, He was flogged, publicly nd saw it as an honour... That is the work of the Holy Spirit, to strengthen us nd get us prepared for the second coming. If u are shaken, afraid or bothered by these events of the last days. Then the Holy Spirit is nt at work in u or nt yet fully at work in you..Are you striving with the Spirit in some areas of ur live?? He says no, you say yes..
Let us rethink our Christianity nd level of spirituality. If the wind of persecution should blow now, would you be able to withstand it or u would join the other side? It is only the Holy Spirit that has the power to withstand such..If you have been slacking or slumbering, this I'd the period to have an intimate relationship with God.. dnt be too busy for Him..listen to Him nd follow Him diligently..
Reconcile with God nd let His Spirit lead you through.. persecutions are nt events of sorrow but a joyful one, reminding us of our eternal inheritance nd reward..Gird up your loins fellow Christians.. be vigilant nd attentive to the Spirit.. Dnt pray amiss, let His Spirit guide you, set doctrines aside nd digest His Word(Bible ).
