As regards dressing to an intervie! Do all job interviews require a guy to put on a tie and a suit?
I think the rule of thumb is to dress the way people in the organization dress.
Dont you think if i have to attend an engineering interview a nice, properly ironed shirt and trouser will do?

So today I will be talking about how to present yourself during Job interview.


So let starts

Submitting a great resume to a job posting is only the first step in landing your ideal position. The interview becomes the next high priority. On paper, many people appear qualified, but it is what you communicate during the interview that will make or break your chances of receiving an offer.

The interview is the step that can set you apart from the other applicants - for better or for worse. Hiring personnel make their decisions based largely on how you answer their questions, how you look, and how you conduct yourself.

This is where it pays to be well informed on what you should do and, just as importantly, what you should not do during the interview process.
You must make a great first impression.

That means dressing appropriately in a suit and tie for men, or a pantsuit or skirt and blouse for a woman. Even if you are applying for an entry level position, you should dress in a business-like fashion that portrays confidence and business sense.

You also want to walk in with confidence, and shake hands immediately with all present, using a firm grip. A first impression is something that your future employer will remember long after they have met with many candidates.

Next, "wow" them with your research of the company. Always come to the discussion knowing the basics of what the company does, how long they have been in business, their top executive, and what the job you are applying for entails.

That prior knowledge will help you to articulate what you can do for the business in the role for which you have applied. It may also impress the person conducting the interview when you bring up a company related topic with which not many people are familiar. However do so subtlety and only when the opportunity is presented.

Forcing such knowledge into the conversation comes across as phoney.
Another tip to have a great job interview is to be cautious about your body language. As with almost any relationship, it can be more important how you say something than what you actually say.

If you are slumped down in your chair and not enthusiastically showing your interest, then no matter what you say could be perceived as disinterest in the job. That is why you need to sit up straight, keep good eye contact, smile routinely, and allow your body language to communicate your honesty, enthusiasm and openness.

Finally, portray your confidence level. Answer questions with a purpose and don't hem or haw during the interview.

Even if you do not know the answer, just say so instead of making something up or elaborating on something that is not asked. Your answers should get to the point while simultaneously providing some level of detail.

Confidence often reflects competence, and that is a trait all employers desire.

I have been a fan of this section for a very long time . And i know that people post lot of job vancancies on this section.

Today I will be sharing with you some of the toughest interveiw question and answers that will guaranteed your employment.

ok lets start,

Mental fear of the unknown is often what produces the physical reaction of nervousness. In addition to preparing your mind and body physically, you also need to prepare yourself mentally. The best way to prepare mentally is to know what may be coming. Fear of the unknown can only exist when there is an unknown. Take the time to understand some of the "standards" when it comes to interviewing questions.

The following are some of the most difficult questions you will face in the course of your job interviews. Some questions may seem rather simple on the surface--such as "Tell me about yourself, "--but these questions can have a very wide variation of answers. Others are "classic" interview questions such as, "What is your greatest weakness?" Questions that most people inappropriately answer. In this case, the textbook answer for the "greatest weakness" question is to give a veiled positive-- "I work too much. I just work and work and work."--which ends up sending the wrong message. Either you are lying or, worse yet, if you are telling the truth, then you define working too much as a weakness and, therefore, you really don't want to work much at all. Think about it.

The following answers are provided to give you a new perspective on how to answer tough interview questions. They are not there for you to lift from the page and insert into your next interview. They are there for you to use as the basic structure for formulating your own answers. While the specifics of each reply may not apply to you, try to follow the basic structure of answering from the perspective of the interviewer. Answer the questions behaviorally--that is, giving specific behavioral examples that show clear evidence to back up what you are saying. Always provide information that drives home the point that you want to become be the very best _____ for the company and that you have specifically prepared yourself to become exactly that. They want to be sold. They are waiting to be sold. Don't disappoint them!

Overall purpose
The Policy, Advocacy and Gender Technical Advisor will be responsible for the planning, management of strategic and operational policy, advocacy and research issues on HIV/AIDS and gender at the state level.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Specific Responsibilities
• Developing strategies and supporting work on HIV/AIDS as it relates to gender policy, advocacy and research activities;
• Coordinating the programme activities on HIV/AIDS and gender advocacy;
• Collaborating with relevant national networks on HIV/AIDS and gender;
• Ensuring dissemination of policy research to relevant organisations;
• Coordinating and managing the policy and advocacy work on HIV/AIDS and gender at the state level;
• Supporting the capacity development of partnering organizations on HIV/AIDS and gender campaigns, advocacy and policy influencing;
• Developing strategies for mainstreaming gender across the project activities;
• Coordinating the programme activities on gender and women’s rights directed at
reforms and policies impacting on poverty; and,
• Promoting a rights based approach in advocating for the rights of women in the face of HIV/AIDS.

Reporting and Accountability
• Submit to line manager timely informative reports, indicating performance in processes planned for the month and progress towards outputs and objectives of the ENR programme.
• Submit situational and any other non-routine reports when necessary or when asked to.
• Participate in programmed meetings of the AAN ENR Team, sharing experiences from the field, bringing up issues of general programme nature for collective decision making.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for collaboration and other forms of engagement by AAN outside the ambit of ENR.

Others
• Represent AAN including the R2H Theme and ensure the maintenance of optimum relations at all levels with relevant agencies and Civil Society Organisations in the state.
• Actively take part in the overall policy, programme, procedure and strategy development of AAN in general.
