You don't understand what the word "colonize" means. The USSR expanded. Citizens of eastern Poland weren't meant to be 3rd class citizens of the USSR. It seems you don't understand the expression "colonisation". Every country which exists (except colonial constructs), came to existence through expansion. So you are basically blaming Russia for being a country.

To me, Russia was created by the successors of Genghis Khan. That was the first expansion which would be defeated hundreds of years later and give place to an other expansion which gave us the shape of Russia today.

There was a non agression pact between the USSR and Germany. If you want to make russian federation responsible of its soviet past, then at least make Germany responsible of its nazi past and stop saying "the Nazis" (as if it were a country from outer space), just say "Germany".

Germany and the USSR (of which Ukraine and many other states which you love today were subregions) had an agreement in which Germany was entitled to western Poland and the USSR was entitled to eastern Poland. They both expanded their territories and took over the lands as per their agreement. A part of that land which the USSR took over from Poland is what we now know as "western Ukraine".

Let me tell you the countries which actually were allies with Germany in WW2: the Baltic states, Sweden (support with mercenaries), Finland, Ukraine (yeah when the ussr's troops retreated and the Germans entered, Ukraine showed a lot of zeal in joining the SS), Italy, Switzerland (a lot of non military support, fake neutrality as usual)...all those nazi loving or Nazi ruled countries are now part of NATO (except Switzerland) which you love.

To the public in the west, zelensky is the representative of Ukraine and Ukrainians, to Ukrainians zelensky is the representative of the west, so to them, getting rid of zelensky is like getting rid of the west. The only guy who could have easily objected to zelensky cancelling elections and remaining in power beyond his mandate was zelujni, and because of that, zelensky fired him before the planned cancellation of election and prolongation of mandate.

I think they are resigning because zelensky is refusing to share power. Zelensky who seems to be president for life, is above any rule and any law and any tradition and is making governance a one man show and going from one stupid decision to an other. That is what I think.

1. Ukraine was pummeling the Russian enclave near the Russian border and amassing thousands of troops in preparation for an escalation. This is a gross violation of Minsk agreements already.

2. Ukraine announced openly that it would join NATO, a military alliance actively working towards destroying Russia.

3. At the same time, USA stepped up its military and biolab activities in Ukraine, sending tons of ammunition into the country

4. Russia still did not invade but began to amass troops on its borders with Ukraine, thinking the threat of invasion will make Ukraine back down

5. Russia then began to openly lay down its complaints but all fell on deaf ears. Instead, the western media continued to spread the news that Russia wants to invade an innocent Ukraine. Is Ukraine innocent?

6. Russia then, formally accepted the breakaway regions on Donetsk and Luhansk and sent in its troops

7. At the same time, they sent an expeditionary force from the north to threaten Kiev, thinking again that Kiev would become scared and backtrack. The Russians underestimated the level to which the western powers had armed and prepared Ukraine for 8 years.

8. The rest is history. If Russia wanted, they could have gone total war on Ukraine from the beginning but they thought they could still reason with them as brothers
