History is researched through eyewitness written documents not "history books".
And as the eye-witnesses say it themselves, Lagos was a part of Benin. By the way, the earliest known contact between Benin and Europeans was in the 1400's, and all the eyewitness written documents of that era already state Lagos as being part of Benin, so I wonder what the revisionists are talking about when they say "Benin attacked Lagos" in 1603 ?
I seriously wonder how long it will take before you guys finally catch up with developed countries and finally understand these things which I am talking about. |

Stoplying: Eyewitness writen precolonial text stating clearly that Lagos belongs to Benin:
"Captain Horseley called it Eco, and that is how the yebous refer to it; but it is not their land: it belongs to Benin, whom have named it Korame, you can recognise the Curamo from older Portuguese reports, just like Eko represents the Ichoo from Holland Hydrographs. Long ago Korame was linked to its metropolis by a very narrow piece of land contained between the great Laguna and the sea; but it has been a while since the Yebous have seazed that very narrow piece of land of which the eastern extremity was invaded by ouyo pirates; and Karamé remained isolated at the extremity of the great Laguna, while it continues to receive from Benin it's governor or political chief."

Precolonial map of the region showing that Lagos (in its currents form) and its environs were part of Benin (see below) https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b8595583b.r=Benin?rk=150215;2
Conclusion: Lagos and its environs were part of Benin.
I am not interested in debating things which have already been proven. Also I am not interested in talking to people whom have been harrassing me. (I also want to add that I am actually the only person whom has commented here who actually speaks french and that I am the person who posted the french caption and the book from which it is to nairaland. Some delusional people who don't speak a word of frecnh were trying to "debate" me on the translation of the text several months ago. Fools can only fool other fools.)

If Putin takes Ukraine, he won’t stop there. Putin will attack a NATO ally, and then we’ll have something that we don't seek and that we don't have today: American troops fighting Russian troops.
We can’t let Putin win. American logic: to stop Russia from attacking Finland and Sweden we put those countries into NATO alliance because Russia would never dare attack NATO allies. Also we have to keep supporting Ukraine, because if Russia defeats Ukraine then Russia will attack a NATO ally. These guys talk so much that they don't realize that they are contradicting themselves. |

sainttwist1: sir, facts/history not quotes/fantasy/wishes. You want me to research why the Palestinians (whom European Jews met in Palestine before taking over the country thanks to the UN and the uk) are the owners of Palestine as opposed to the migrants from Europe who took over the land from them and named it Israel ? I like how Nigerians like you specialise not on being smart but on pretending to be smart. You don't even understand the words which you are using. Most Nigerians don't want to do the the hard work to be smart, they just want to look and sound smart, you are just an example of this. |

TrumpBiden: To him history began in 1947 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I call them here narrow-minded people for a reason History is not a period of time, it is the study of eyewitness written documents. You are confusing history with TIME itself... Well like most Nigerians you don't understand the meaning of history. You confuse fairytale, religion and all sorts of nonesense with history. Some Europeans who go to synagogues are suddenly middle Easterners in your mind... By that logic, wherever your house is, I can invade and take it over by claiming that one of my ancestors once lived there, then when you point to the fact that I invaded your house a minute ago, I can tell you "history didn't start a minute ago". Everybody can do this to anybody, no proof is needed, just make your unsubstantiated and unverifiable claim. And in the case you actually buy a house, the grand kids of the person who sold that house to you would have the right to kick out your grand kids, but in this case, their ancestors truly lived there (contrary to European Jews whose ancestors were Europeans not middle easterners). Also for your information, DNA tests have revealed what I keep saying: European Jews are Europeans ! |

TrannyMike: When u realize you've been scammed. SCAMerica na your mate? 😂😂😂 Soviet nukes never belonged to Ukraine. In order for Russia to agree for Ukrainian independence, a number of Soviet tools had to be repatriated to the Russian federation. The nukes were some of those tools. Similarly, if Texas wanted to get independence from the USA, all USA nukes in Texas would have to be agreed to be returned. |

So like I always do to others,na to ignore. Continue with your hate filled life bro 😁😁😁 It is easier to ignore by not quoting nor talking about what you are ignoring. Also the likes of you completely confuse their religious texts with actual history. It is telling that you got triggered by the expression "European Jews". This world would be much better if people used their brains rather than confused fairytales with history. I've seen so many nairaland pages about Israel in which some people are boasting about how their pastors are teaching them "history". I think most Nigerians do not fully understand the meaning of the word "history". |

2002. Elimination of Ukrainian Tu-22 strategic bomber at the military airfield near Poltava, November 12, 2002. The bomber was destroyed as part of Ukraine's renunciation of nuclear weapons, which was stipulated by the Budapest Memorandum signed in 1994. I think Russia was generous enough to let Ukraine keep a huge stockpile of Soviet weapons. If Ukraine wanted nuclear weapons to remain in its custody, then all it had to do was to remain in the Russian federation. Why didn't Russia take back all those s300's and MIGs What a waste. |

“We have completed negotiations on how Finland will increase the production of heavy ammunition for arming Ukraine. This decision will be made in the near future,” the Iltalehti newspaper quotes Hakkanen’s statement.
The publication notes that the cost of producing ammunition will be tens of millions of euros.
“The plan is ready. A plan has now been announced to significantly increase the production of ammunition. The goal is to support Ukraine even more than it is now. At the same time, we are further increasing the readiness of Finland and the Nordic region for the production of ammunition,” says Hakkanen.
"Finland can take on a role larger than its population in producing ammunition for Ukraine," says Hakkänen. How this would make Finland safer is beyond me. How does this help Finland? All these governments who have decided to serve America rather then their own people ... Look at this guy boasting on how he is going to help a country condemned to defeat... |

You are irredeemable. I know, have you seen when people tried to explain to book haram detainees that the earth was ellipsoidal? Fanatics always disregard logic. It is not about convincing them, it is about putting out a good quality historical research for everybody's education. When Nigeria would have modernized enough to have a highly educated youth, everybody will be laughing at the comments of the fanatics. When a normal person goes into a discussion, his aim is to get to the truth, when a fanatic enters a discussion, his aim is to impose his beliefs on others, he wants his beliefs to become your gospel. I got interested in Precolonial maps when I stumbled upon one in the Francois Mitterrand library in Paris, I saw a big country called Kingdom of Benin on that Precolonial map. |
