Mr. Manko, I sabi dis guy @ FGC Ilorin back then, Government Teacher and Peace House Master, I heard he's into something like this back then some of us thought it was rumours. Now I know the truth, This is someone that was trained to be a role model to these children now he's having unprotected sex with them. I remember Mr. Igwe back then will say the Law of Karma will catch up with the evil doers. This is a lesson to those that want to ruin the life of others. One day Bush meat go catch the hunter. I hope the govt will really deal with this man to serve as lesson to others. Goodnight peeps.

Not many in her homeland appear to know about her unique story. But in other lands, especially Europe and America, she is a ‘goddess’ whose works are cherished by kings and presidents.Without a doubt, the story of Nike Okundaye, the face behind the huge success story of Nike Arts Gallery, located in Lagos, Abuja and Osogbo, is as compelling as it is inspiring.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Should I pay a whooping sum of 500k to get a job? Please Advice!!!.... by giantimpact(m): 9:17pm On Mar 11, 2015
For me paying even 1 Naira to get a Job is a no go area. Some years back I had a friend in a similar situation, he summon courage and started a Dry cleaning business, he was doing fine but he's a career driven person after like 4 years been jobless but an enterpreneur, he got an offer with one of the top Airline in d country last year. He now employ someone to manage the dry cleaning business for him. Just take your time to find the business that will suit your style while you are still in search of Job. Masters is not a bad idea , but you might need to pause on that for now. Whichever way you take. I wish you the very best and I will like to hear your testimony very soon. Go and Prosper...
nurexfutmx:
I lost my job last year december, have been trying to get another job since then but all to no avail. Am getting frustrated by the day cos i don't see any job coming, I was able to save up to 500k during my time in my former workplace. Now, the question is...

1. Am thinking of going for MSc which i may end up spending the whole money on and God forbid, what if i still don't get any job after the programme won't i go back to square one?

2. I'm thinking maybe i could invest in something profitable and start up a little business but i really want to build my career and with that little sum of money i have, i may end up making little or no gain which i could possibly lose lots of money aswell.

3. The third and last one am really interested doing is someone promised me a job in NNPC and he is asking me to pay 300k for a slot there but from experience of what happened to be last year, i lost 150k to a family friend who promised me a job in Nigeria Custom but i end up got scammed. It didn't workout, am trying to avoid such mistake again.

I've always wish to work with a goverment parastatal (a very good one) and i don't mind forfeiting the whole 500k to get it only if i can be rest assured it will workout.

Am really confused and don't know what to do with my life....i need u guys advice please!
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Old Mutual Or Zenith Bank? by giantimpact(m): 10:01pm On Mar 08, 2015
Old Mutual are investors from Europe, they bought over Oceanic insurance, a friend of mine just join them though @ a management level. Am surprise your friend is been offered 40k per month as basic salary or what. Well I will advise he/she stick to the Insurance sector, promotion is sure and they hardly lay off like the banks.
Bladexinc:
I have a friend who is confused about taking a job in old mutual or waiting do an interview for zenith bank. The old mutual job pays 40k for a 6months probationary period n zenith 75k but on a 2years contract basis. The person is meant to start the old mutual job on Monday and is at the the 2nd stage for the zenith bank job which takes place on Thursday.
Please we need your various opinions. Thanks

Career › Re: Can Someone Who Read A Science Related Course Register For ICAN Certification? by giantimpact(m): 11:03am On Mar 07, 2015
Very possible, I actually read Mech Engrg and I am a student of ICAN. As a graduate of science/engrg you start from the knowledge stage which have 5 papers, most like you will be exempted from Quantitative technique (QT). ICAN website is very robust as compared to other professional web in nigeria you will get almost all the info you need from there. But wait oo, why do you actually want to write ICAN, is it because you heard chartered accountant make good money or you just have flair for Finance. I actually opt for ICAN because I work in the financial services industry.
moneybag4411:
Hello people,

there is something seriously bordering me and i thought of sharing it here to get your opinions. Can someone who read maybe engineering, or chemistry, biochemistry and the likes put in for ICAN?

I also like to know the procedures for this and what it takes. I'd also like to know the prospects for someone who has ICAN,ACCA and the likes in terms of Job oppurtunities.

Thanks.
Culture › Re: What Your View On This -A MUST READ by giantimpact(m): 9:47am On Mar 07, 2015
Bros, this is not a yoruba thing oo, it happens everywhere, but I tell people why don't you build a good relationship with God in order to hear directly from him... It going to be a big risk depending on people to decide whom you will marry, its your future bro!
nairayouthcom:
This is just alarming, is it only happening to the Yoruba's tribe or it happens generally?

This question do run through my mind on a daily basis

This is a through story which happened to my Close pal, it happens that he dated this Girl for more than 6years which both of them have a vision of marring each other

This guy is a working class with a good pay job but this lady is still a student in one of the universities, suddenly this my pal notice a sudden change in the girl behaviour and decided to confront her, but to his greatest shock the lady told him that Her Pastor told her that both of them are not compatible

This guy was shocked but later move on

The question is that with the numbers of fake pastor out there, can any pastor tell you not to marry the person you love? (both of you love yourself whole heartedly)

The aspect of the Yoruba's going to pastors to ask maybe one person is compatible with the other, is it only happening to the Yoruba's or the whole 9ja tribes?

pls don't naiil me, gat no time to read all over

Cool, you read my mind... Well detailed advice.
whizqueen:
Its a two way tin: if u r studying accounting in the uni nd u r in 300lvl or above, forgt ATS and take exemption using ur degree. A sound tutorial and determinatn will improve ur accounting skill. But if u r jes in 100lvl or 200lvl nd not in accounting dept go for ATS ASAP it will help u vry well in professional lvl.
Disadv. Of ATS its quiet expensive compared to using ur degree
Adv. It helps ur knwledge in professional lvl n saves time
Disadv. Of ur Bsc poor accounting skills n lack of exposure too.
Adv. The cost of bcoming a professional student is cheaper compared to ATS.
Personally i went tru ATS n dats cos i started since 100l n am studyin Finance nt accountin.
I op i helpd a little?

Career › Re: Chartered Insurance Institute Of Nigeria (ciin) by giantimpact(m): 9:25pm On Dec 07, 2014
@Ajasa4link, you only need ur first degree in any discipline to get an entry level job in the insurance industry just like d banking industry, However, because of stiff competition in employment in dis country, a professional qualification will give u an edge .Meanwhile, since u made a 2.1 don't limit ursef to insurance industry, try other sector like the Audit firms, investment bank, FMCG, Telecoms e.t.c.
ajasa4link:
Tnx bro. A friend of mine who wrote certificate level this October only wrote two papers after applying for exemption with his bsc insurance, so I guess I will do the same.
I will like to ask a question: Does having the certificate in insurance level increase my chances of getting better job placement after nysc, compared to just having my bsc certificate and discharge certificate after my service year?(I graduated with 2:1 in insurance )
Career › Re: Chartered Insurance Institute Of Nigeria (ciin) by giantimpact(m): 8:35pm On Dec 06, 2014
@Ajasa4link, as for the Excemption, you have to apply personally, since you have first Degree in Insurance you can claim 5 or 6 excemption out of 12 Courses. As for CIIN website, u might not get as much as compare to other professional institute like ICAN. I wish u best of luck.
ajasa4link:
The info on their web page is very little and not touching d areas of my questions...... I guess the guy is just a typical lazy customer care agent, who is barely informed about his organization sef. A friend says I must apply for exemption in person, and that's what am trying to ascertain whether it's true or false.
