Shepherd00:Why? |
malvisguy212:All religions speak highly of Jesus? Can you give an example of a non Abrahamic religion (anyother than islam, judiasm and Christianity) that speaks hihly of Jesus? |
Ihedinobi3:Not all, but majority. It is not my opinion, it is statistical FACT that majority of people who believe in a religion where born into it. So majority of those who are Christian were born into faith |
"A hydrogel is a network of polymer chains that are hydrophilic, sometimes found as a colloidal gel in which water is the dispersion medium. A three-dimensional solid results from the hydrophilic polymer chains being held together by cross-links" - Wikipedia "Clay is a finely-grained natural rock or soil material that combines one or more clay minerals with possible traces of quartz, metal oxides and organic matter. Geologic clay deposits are mostly composed of phyllosilicate minerals containing variable amounts of water trapped in the mineral structure." - wikipedia Hydrogel =/= clay |
Emusan:Yes they do. Christians want us to believe in and follow christ. Churches evangelise and want us to join/follow them. The gospel gives a mandate to go out and preach to the world. So what you say is nonsense. "The true God of the Universe has been manifesting Himself to different people from different tribes, nation and race for ages" This one is absolutely just pure bullshit. If this were true, then Jesus wouldn't have needed to send his followers to preach and spread it through out the world. Before christianity came sub-saharan Africa, why weren't there any christians? Why weren't there any christians in the America's before the Europeans arrived? Why weren't there any christians in Asia?(and there are still not much today) or Australia? Why didn't he manifest himself to these people before humans carrying the religion came in contact with them? |

Let's have a civil discussion.

I like how these "predictions" are always ambiguous and vague so they can be interpreted by anyone looking for connections that arent there. |
Ihedinobi3:First of all you've just given an answer to this post : that God is responsible for natural occuring things that cause suffering. Now you explain that God does this as punishment? Polio affects and kills little children and there are also children who get cancer,What has the child done to be punished? And what on earth do places have to do to deserve a bloody hurricane as punishment? |
budaatum:I'm sorry, what does this have to do with what i posted? |
CAPSLOCKED:"It's all God's plan", the cheap answer Christians give when they don't know and don't want to say they don't know. I do commend you for accepting the logical conclusion that everything being God's plan renders prayers meaningless. But your answer still doesn't absolve god of responsibility of suffering of humans. Since it is his plan, anything that happens as a result of it is his fault. And in this scenario even human caused suffering is his fault because it is HIS plan. That means that he planned for 9/11 to happen and he planned for that rapist to be a rapist and he planned for the murderer to be a murderer. If it is indeed all God's plan then doesn't this render anything we do inconseqential. God having a plan also limits free will since it is his plan which will end up happening no matter what we do. With this, can't we conclude that it is then unfair for him to want to punish people in hell who he created to carry out HIS plan no matter what they do. |
Niflheim:Yes, i have heard of Mormons. I've watched some videos on them. Honestly don't know how people can believe such bs. Mormonism is just an American type Christianity for the person of the early 19th century. Concerning the views toward blacks, apparently they changed it, like a whole host of other shit that has been changed over time in their religion. |
Emusan:And we should follow these people based on spiritual experiences they claimed they've had? I'm sorry, if these people cant give any tangable observable evidence for their claims then what good are they? A christian's word is just as good as muslim's or a Hindu's. |
Christians, in your faith, apart from God being omnipotent, he is also strongly presented as a benevolent (loving) God who has the interest of humanity at heart. There is even a popular bible verse, "God is love". A popular argument against this is that if God loves us and is love and he created us, then why is there so much suffering in this world. The most common christian retort to this argument is that God gave humans free will to do as they please and that humans cause suffering for other humans. This retort, while being reasonable, doesn't cover the non man made causes of human suffering. There are natural disasters like earth quakes, tsunamis, typhoons and hurricanes; diseases like polio, small pox, measles, several kinds of cancers; parasitic organisms (like some species of worms) whose survival is based on infecting its host and feeding on them. Most of the things mentioned are naturally occuring. As a christian who believes God created this world, then logically you should believe he is responsible for these things and thus shares responsibility for alot of human suffering. If you disagree with this, I'd like to hear your thoughts. |
Biblical standards lol. So what is biblical standards? When God commanded the children of Isreal to take the female captives for themselves (sex slaves) . Or that if a woman is raped she has to marry her rapist? |
BS |
The bible doesn't condemn the drinking of Alcohol. Infact due to the jewish passover tradition, Jesus christ probably drank Alcohol (wine) atleast once in his life. |
How do you know. Like how do you know anything of what you believe or say is true? |
Not really. It most likely doesnt exist. |
How was i ever this deluded. |
It's really not |
How to waste your time 101. |
Or it's just a dream and means nothing. |
Can't easily manipulate and abuse them if they're properly educated and independent |
That's honestly not our problem right now. We have more important issues. |
Chronicgenius:Probably Odin. Odin promised he'd destroy all the frost giants. Jesus promised all the wickedness will end. I don't see any frost giants today |
Be a teenage girl from Kano. Have sex without condom and get pregnant. Hide the pregnancy from parents while debating with baby's father whether to keep it or not. 7 months in, father says he's not doing again. Aborts baby by using hanger. Hide the body in the wild somewhere. Also same place where sheeps roam around. People see it and omg, "sheep gave birth to a human baby." Either they are stupid or just want to spread lies. Person who posted this is one of the above. |
If you believe this, then you're using the trap just like us. Welcome to the kingdom of darkness. |

They don't get healed because your prayers don't work. |
If something is true, then it needs no outside help and will withstand scrutiny. Many religions (and faith based beliefs), as a way of protecting themselves, classifies logical and critical thinking as blasphemy. Pls if anyone is reading this, go and research on logical fallacies and logical reasoning. Try and build and apply what you learn, then use this to scrutinise what you're told. |
