Ibadan....
What are your reasons?

Spanishmilf is spot on. I'll pick Oyo(Ibadan) without thinking twice. I feel like it's a slightly better version of Lagos.
Family friendly, less traffic with relatively laid back people.
Oh! Thanks!

Gwagone:

Lemme ask you this
Please, Where is your hubby transferred to?
Lagos. But he's scarcely in one place. If I relocate to join him in south west, there are chances he visits during the weekends rather than stay away from the family for months.
So, even if I move to Lagos, it doesn't guarantee I see him everyday

0 traffic 100% security
If you finally relocate and you thinking of buying a security dog am your best plug.
Noted! I'll keep in touch. Although, I'm kind of perplexed as to why I should need a security dog if there's 100% security. More so, last year, I used to see disturbing news of random people, kids, beheaded for rituals in Ibadan. I have kids and I'm worried for them. Has it been stopped?

Lagos is still the best
And for the traffic, you will get use to it, moreover, the Lagos state government are doing their best to put an end to the traffic by banning bikes and keke on major highways...
Èkò ó ńí bájè
This is funny o. I don't think I can ever get used to long hours in traffic. By the way, what you just stated is not even encouraging. More of the many reasons I detest Lagos. Do you have more facts why I should choose Lagos over Ibadan or abeokuta?

It's either Ogun or Oyo State. There are some parts of Ogun States very close to Lagos like Sango and others. I don't know much about traffic there but I can tell you about the traffic in Ibadan. It's on the rise but not as frustrating as that of Lagos and tbh, both Oyo and Ogun States are relatively peaceful for now. However, you may consider other factors like children's education, the kind of accommodation, electricity supply etc. I think these should guide you.
So, which city has better electricity supply; Lagos, Sango, or Ibadan? What's your take on Sagamu or Abeokuta?

What about traffic?
Travel / Which City Is Safest To Relocate My Family In South West? by GideonIdaboh(f): 2:29pm On Feb 14, 2020
The company my hubby works with recently promoted and transferred him to Lagos. The new job requires him to oversee the company's branches in Lagos, Oyo and Ogun states respectively while we live in Kano. Although, he's scarcely in Lagos, he's suggesting we relocate to join him in Lagos. I've always had this odd feeling about Lagos most especially because of the long hours spent usually in traffic.
My fellow N'landers, I need objective opinions and suggestions on the safest and coolest city to relocate to, aside Lagos in the south west.

At least, you know the truth. It's just sad that others around you at that time may never get to find out the truth

Politics / Re: Why Buhari’s Men, Security Chiefs Oppose Operation Amotekun by GideonIdaboh(f): 6:02pm On Jan 19, 2020
With all fairness to the north, they should rule for an additional 16years before handing over power to south coz south comprises of south west and south east/south. My opinion is based on this, if north rules for 8years, the Yoruba's rule for 8 years and the IBO's rule for 8years, that would be cheating to the north coz when you refer to the north, there are other regions which the south is refusing to accept. If the south can be splitted into 2 regions on the basis of who produces the president, then the north should equally split too. Not forgetting that a certain region in the south occupied power for 6 years just recently.
I'd advise us to be objective in analyzing the transiency of which region produces the next president.

Did you say 10 years later?!! shocked shocked

How did you take it? Did she apologize over the phone or in person?

I'm annoyed right now. How was she able to sleep knowing she was the reason you were in a cell! cry

The incident happened about 15 years ago but she confessed about 5years ago and I'm yet to recover from the shock. After we left school, I was innocently nicer to her as we've been through school times. When I relocated to abuja, I invited her to hustle with me so that she could get a job but she couldn't. When I equally got a bank job and relocated to minna, I invited her as well and she joined me but she couldn't get a good job. She eventually had to relocate to her state of origin and confessed to me years later of her crimes over on the phone. In fact, I wish she never did. I wish she took her crimes to her grave in secret. Ever since she confessed about 5 years ago, she's tried to converse or ask for money but I have continued to subtly decline every of her request. I can't seem to get over it. Lord help me!

This is not a good story. Beside both your neighbor and your room mate are heartless.
My sister. I cried in those days I spent in the cell. My prayer after the case was for God to expose the real culprit. I couldn't believe it was years after I'd forgotten bout the whole incident that my roommate would confess to stealing it. Ever since then, I've had this feeling bout her. I wish she never confessed. I'm more tortured now than when the incident even occurred.

I remember during my 200l days, I was accused of stealing my neighbor's phone. All suspicions traced to me as i was the last person to touch the phone. He didn't take it lightly. He had me arrested. The phone then was one cheap kpalasa like that. (Flip up- Bird). That's the first time ever I would sleep in a cell. I was disappointed in my parents having to find out so I didn't inform them on time. After 5days, I had no choice than to tell my roommate to inform my parents. My father didn't even show up. Only my mom did. She swore heaven and earth that her child would never engage in such act. Eventually, the case ended after my mom bought my neighbor a new phone and all that.

10 years later, my roommate confessed to stealing the phone, my money and several foodstuffs. I just weak.

I wonder what they'll term it. Maybe urhobotekun or ijawtekun but Since South south is known to always align with south east on politics, maybe they're patiently waiting on south east to come with their ibotekun first.

2023 elections will be very interesting because it will be characterized by backstabbing and revenge by south east and south south. They are going to form alliance with the North to scuttle the zoning arrangement of south west in a bid to pay them back for installing Buhari to this nation. But in the end, who is the biggest winner? The North!!! And who is being played, used and dumped? The whole of South!!!

What a shame! Is this what has become of Nigeria? I didn't know Jamb has become a revenue generating institution like FIRS. This govt of Buhari is only concerned in milking its citizens in all capacities they can. I learnt even CBN has a target to meet. No wonder the rate at which they fine commercial banks has become so alarming and the stupendous banks in return pass all these charges to their various customers. Anyone who can survive Nigeria will survive anywhere else.
Now, the real question is, what is the impact of all these monies saved and generated on the Nigerian economy? We hear everyday that so so amount in billions is saved and recovered yet we're the most impoverished nation on earth and buhari is still on a loan spree.

Who I'm I? What do I know self?

TV/Movies / Let's Talk About Isibaya by GideonIdaboh(f): 1:20pm On May 18, 2019
I'm a big fan of Isibaya. A controversial south african soap opera which shows on Africa magic family every Mondays to Fridays @ 9:30pm. Isibaya has been showing nearly a year ago. Here are my favourite characters

Samson Ndlovu Gasheni- The real bad guy.

Mkabayi- a tough and fearless woman

Fezile- Ever tough and loyal servant. His loyalty knows no bounds

Mandla- a complete representation of Mr IBU. Only difference is that this one is very violent.

Skhaleni- Linda ikeji blog dey learn from this one

Iris- Her grammar, sarcastic choice of words is mind blowing. Iris is my most favourite character but it appears her part will soon come to an end.

If you watch Isibaya, kindly share your experience and your favourite character.
