I started this admission journey last week of October after the endsars protest n here I am.... Its by the Grace of God, cuz graduated since 2009, My case is special.

My appointment was for 10:00 but I got there past 8am. I didnt even answer those hustlers outside as I had my document checklist from here. Then we did the routine documents verification and biometrics; and waited for the interview proper. Two VO’s, a black man and the other white guy. I started praying, God should make the black guy release the lady fast so the next person waiting can go meet him, so I can go to the white guy once the guy with him finishes... lol. God surely did answer and next applicant was called in by the white guy. 

VO : Good morning 
Me : Good morning, (how are you, no answer, guess he didn't hear me) 

VO : pass me your documents
Me : I passed my passport n I-20 only.(what he asked for)

VO : Whats your plan, what are u going for?
Me : I'm going for my masters degree in H.A at BGSU Ohio. (I stuttered a little with shaking lips, thanks to the nose mask)

VO : he glanced thru my i20, are you married?
Me; (Smiled) Not yet 

VO: Do you have any friend or relatives in the U.S.
Me: No

VO: Have you travelled out of Nigeria b4?
Me: No, have not had any reasons to.

VO: what would you be doing with this degree?
Me: This degree will compliment my undergraduate training.

VO: cuts in Oh, what's your undergraduate degree on?
Me: I have a bachelor's degree in Accounting.
(Then i continued answering the question)

And equip me with the knowledge needed.
As I plan to return to Nigeria after graduation to work as a Health Care Consultant and be able to proffer practical solutions to the health issues in Nigeria. Vo nods his head, n glanced thru i-20 again.

VO: Where do you work?
Me: I work with bleep, I supervise the supplies of medical equipment to health centers and general administrative support.

VO: Who is your closest Sibling.
Me: My sister (I immediately inserted the sponsorship), she is the manager at ***** bank *** State, she will be sponsoring my program as she's been very supportive of my career.

VO; nods his head and ask, are your parents alive? What does your dad do n ur mum?
Me; Yes, my dad is a nurse, my mum is a proprietor.

VO, types for about 20 seconds (mennn..... I had the longest 20 secs of my life, lol)

Me; I was kabashing- praying in tongues, lol and was saying to myself, God abeg, make this man keep my passport (I will be picking it in Lagos)

Then I thought to engage him a little,

Me: How has your stay been in Nigeria and hope you plan to spend the christmas season here.
VO: Oh, its been lovely, sure, very certain (with a smile)

VO, stretches his hand to get the white paper after typing a little more... I thought I was listening to what he was saying, later I realised, I didn't hear anything. I only heard, congratulations, enjoy your stay in Ohio.


Pray Pray Pray, Prepare n Pray. God showed up for me. Cuz a night b4 I was so tensed but he sent helpers.

Thanks @Fairheart, @Akin-Oseni, @Zeelady, @Gwee9win, @Tumie and all others who have been so resourceful on this platform. The bond in this place is indescribable. Cuz faceless people I just reached out to via PM went all out for me to guide me thru n thru. I hope to also give back in my little way.

Please explain your take on using a business account.
So if one has a flourishing business with such amount, it can't be used or must it be from a personal account only?

Alright. You've got nothing to worry about.
Just go with the one you have.
And secondly, hope the new one is not a Business account or a statement account that belongs to a business name. It's important you know this. I'm sure you're aware.

Lest i forget, while filling the DS-160, who did you mention as Sponsor?
And for trip payment, did you mention the person's name?

@seyewest, please i just detected a mistake in the location of my mum's application as interview is slated for 2moro. Though she is a secondary applicant with my dad who is the main applicant, whose location is Lagos. What can I do to make the corrections within the short time frame.

SOS..... please anyone with a good response for a way out should provide answers to me.... as am losing it.

Studying a masters in business will likely be an exercise in futility as it has no pathway for you to stay.

You are better off continuing with masters in prosthetic and orthotics at the La Trobe University. You can use this to apply for PR later and even get a better career pathway.

Don't waste money on Masters in Business. Study a course that will lead to a PR. To read more on PR, check the other thread.

The custodians of the UNited states said the applicant is not qualified to come into their country . Leave them nowww. I’m sure you are aware that after a denial the system is only available for re-application after 6 months ( I read that here some time ago) . Nigeria is one of those countries with a high immigration intent rate .
How did her daughter become a US resident ? How this her son-in-law also become a US resident ? These are some of the questions she should ask herself instead of rushing to go through the whole visa application process

Sis is on F1 schooling, son inlaw entered via visa lottery and he is alrdy a citizen, working. They are both legally married there. So their status is not questionable.

Working as a teacher and head mistress depicts a small scale business where there is no division of labour, no specialization and low turn over. Your mum seems to have weak work ties

Civil govt start, highest level ranting in state primary school board.... so how else do we present her job with strong ties.

Mind you, she is granted leave of absence for the duration of her stay.
