Another poem by me THE AIR OF FREEDOM At a time when we were bound with chains And made to pass through pains; our flesh became a host for insects, and our energy, the enermies assets. We wore rags round our loins, and laboured enlessly without getting silver coins. Our feet became hard as tough leather, our hair soft as the eagles feathers. We drank eachothers pee as water, and ate little bread using d mud as our butter. We lived in a cage that stunk like poo oh oh,we cried with our rage full. our hearts were broken, and fighting strength all stollen. We still had intuitive hope for freedom, tho with no plan nor an iota of wisdom. we took to prayers,oh lord end our sorrows we had little faith, atleast with blood in our marrows. At long last,God heard our bitter wail and stormed our enermies like a giant sea whale. It all happened like magic, though tragic, for our enermies. we were let loose as we ran like a herd of stamppeding elephants. Then i stood for a while and heaved, muttering songs of thanksgiving for this freedom we've achieved! |

The human mind has unlimited potentials. Mind power is the second strongest power next to the spirit. We can change the quality ofour lives by harnessing the power of the mind. However, for us to harness the full potential of our minds there must be deliberate effort to develop it. How well we are able to develop our minds determines how it will work for us. Developing the mind takes effort. It demands a certain level of discipline; which is the reason many have been unable to utilize the full potential of their minds. For you to develop your mind and unleash its full potential, you have to; (1) Increase Your Knowledge Base: It is the quality of the knowledge you possess that determines the quality of your thoughts. There is hardly any thing you want to know that is not enclosed in a book. The quality of the books you read has the capacity to train and transform your mind. Many especially the young ones spend more of their time on TV programs with little or no intellectual content. Reading exercises our mental skills and challenges our thinking ability. Invest in books that have the potential to challenge your views and thoughts. Don’t just read soft sell magazines. Read deep and wide! (2) Think Independently: To have independent thinking ability means that whatever opinions you hold is one that has been well thought out and investigated. It means having the ability to make your own decisions. It means not accepting general opinion or age long tradition just because it is widely accepted. As long as we are depending on safe solutions, prejudiced judgments and fixed ideas, our mind will be closed to discovering our own truth. Don’t accept anything you are told without putting your mind to work. Find time to think, reflect and imagine. Learn how to take your mind on a journey. If you don’t use it, you will lose it! (3) Practice Non-Sentimental Thinking: Look for solutions and outcomes to a situation from as many perspectives as you can before making conclusion. If something is not working out, try and change your thinking style and come at it from another angle. Ask questions! Anything you don’t know is as a result of a question you’ve not asked. Have a thorough understanding of any situation. Conclude on an issue based on objective observation rather than on pre-conceived notions and prejudices. (4) Watch Who You Associate With: Choose your associations carefully. When move with eagles, think like eagles, move with ducks, think like ducks. Stay away from people who constantly have negative outlook on life. This kind of people will drain your mental energy. Your relationship is your responsibility. Move with great minds. If you are wondering how to know one, Eleanor Roosevelt has an answer, “Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.” (5) Be deliberate about your Knowledge Stream: Don’t give attention to any stream of information that will degrade your mind and poison your heart. Your thought life controls the rest of your life. What you think is what you are. For the human mind, there is no distinction between reality and imagination. Everything in the mind is real. That’s why you must be very deliberate about the content of your consciousness. To keep from thinking what’s wrong, you have to think what’s right. “Sow a thought and you reap an action; sow an act and you reap a habit; sow a habit and you reap a character; sow a character and you reap a destiny.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson . |

Anyother rhyme i have put together! This one is more like a poem. COMFORT TO THE BROKEN. Though your heart may be as a fallen leaf whose nutrient has all taken a leave. Though you may be as broken bottles, whose pieces are only seen with high tech goggles. Though you may be a fish out of water, headed to the place of slaughter. Though you may be as a rot in the void, so irritating that people do avoid. Though you may be as a vulnerable beast, in the thicks, and make for a sweet feast; for your very strong enermies. Though you may be broken beyound repair, and it start seeming as though those part you've lost doesn't have a pair. Yes it does, and its with your creator who really cares. These words are for you. Take heed and know that JESUS has paid your dues, worry no more cause you will find rest for your soul, This hope lays in him who can console. Come to JESUS,Oh ye hungry hearts, and watch yourself grow healthy and fat. As he can set even those tiny pieces of you thrown apart, Together.and give you hope for eternal life. |

Oh boy'do i love rhymes.I am not a literature student, but with the little i know, have i written this piece..... BLISS OF LOVE.. My heart skipped a beat, as though i was to fall in a pit. When i saw those beautiful eyes made of diamonds that sparkle like the morning skies. Gradually as she came closer, I tried to draw away from her. Though i had love deep down for her, I just wasn't the type that could stand and talk. Lets take a walk! she said. As i attempted to storm away. Oh! i grinned in reply, and the exit way seemed far away. But she held my hands, taking my grin for a yes. As her skin touched mine, Great heat as from a mine- stormed my heart. Oh what a beautiful thing love is; And the feeling is simly a bliss. |

Sonnie Badu began his ministry at a very young age, singing in his hometown of Ghana Accra. Sonnie was raised under a strict Christian upbringing, his father, Reverend Agyeman Prempeh, a prominent pastor in the capital state Accra would wake his children up with a cane for Church every Sunday. It was this discipline that would establish his life-long passion of service to the Lord. Although Sonnie Badu had been a worship leader from his youth, to all who knew him football was his gift. However any hopes of international football success were soon eclipsed when the Lord begun to turn this heart in His hands. At 18 years of age, Sonnie was attacked by a mysterious infection that had virtually pronounced him dead. It was in this time he made a promise to follow God if He would spare his life. His life was spared and “The Worshipper” as he is popularly known was born. On the 1 December 2007, his debut album “Lost in his glory” was released. He has already sang alongside the likes of international gospel artists such as Juanita Bynum, Lionel Peterson, Alvin Slaughter, Noel Robinson, Muyiwa, Sammy Okposu, Mike Aremu and other gospel ministers. On Good Friday 21 March 2008 “Africa Worships with Sonnie Badu” was launched. It is a concert which teams up with a charity to raise awareness and aid for those in need. For 2008 efforts were focused on the beautiful country of Kenya, in support of all those that have been affected by the recent violence. This night also witnessed the launch of his first book entitled “The Worshippers Cry”. Not content with the success of ‘Africa Worships with Sonnie Badu’ Sonnie Badu soon followed in 2008 with another headlining event entitled ‘RAW Worship-Ignite My Fire’. It was a night of pure worship. Held on the 29 November 2008; avid supporters did not disappoint in their attendance yet again. This night also marked the launch of his second book entitled “How To Activate Your Miracle During Worship”. As a unique gospel singer, Sonnie Badu’s ministry is accompanied by signs and wonders including prophetic deliverances, healings of cancers, strokes, paralysis, barrenness and the salvation of souls. Christians would describe this as a confirmation of his calling. He is described as the young man with the golden voice; others esteem him for his ability to move audiences. However these talents find their greatest expression because of His Love for God. Currently in the UK gospel industry, he is hailed as one of the most celebrated and influential worship leaders to emerge from the African church sector in recent years. He is heating up the church circuits with his energetic sound and colourful mix of contemporary and African praise and worship with a style so diverse, he appeals to every preference. Sonnie Badu is no gimmick; “I did not call myself” is a statement he commonly relies on for expression. He is no ordinary man and is not one to be compared with any other. The truth is Sonnie Badu has only just begun.
