This is sounding like LPG (Cooking gas) plant which can be miniaturized.
LNG is a massive plant and is always made for sea export because its cost is huge and its price is higher, and it’s difficult to handle and has to be made in millions of tons to be commercially profitable. So a Mini LNG plant is a lie.

There is no commercially producing oil and gas well in Kogi state and so if gas is going to be used, it has to be piped in from somewhere else certainly Niger Delta, like the one used in Ajaokuta steel. Therefore Akoji is not yet there as an oil and gas producing state.

This write-up is filed with political jargon and no technical meat and if you are in the oil and gas industry, you will see it clearly.

So don’t rejoice yet.

Both business owners and civil servants pay VAT on goods and services they purchase in the open market.

But in the case of the business owner, he can control his price, his expenses and therefore how much he pays in income tax and also how much draws from the goods versus its VAT, while the civil servant gets taxed at source before he even receives his salary and still pays the VAT on whatever he buys in open market.

There are 2 types of land in Igbo Land:

1. Ime ohwo or ihu ezi - the clan lands (ancestral lands owned by the family for building houses and living side by side as one blood)
2 ohia /ubi / Mgbo - farm and forest lands owned by same family / clan in the outskirts or nearby the ihu ezi usually for farming, hunting and fallowing.

When 1 starts getting congested, the umunna can share parts of 2 to the next generation for living purposes.

2 is often owned individually when the umunna have shared it according to fathers and fathers assigned them to their sons.

1 is often with fewer empty land space which is often reserved for the immediate next generation to continue building and living together. It is high density. That’s how the towns grow.

SE region people overwhelmed the program thereby making it unsustainable. Lagos can't be subsidizing people from different states where they have useless governors that are looting funds.

The program should be made better by allowing only indigenous Omo Ekos to benefit from the program. Letters of Indigenes from Obas should be presented before sale.

The over-peppering of food is a south-western Nigeria thing to suit the palate of the people from that region . Another reason for the jollof rice argument with Ghana and Senegal exists- Most people think Nigerian cuisine is the same as the south-western palate.

The best Nigerian cuisines come from the South-East and South-South of the country. Visit those or try food made by people from there who haven’t been tainted by the Lagos pepper market

These Nigerians have lost what’s left of their rabid minds if they think a gastronomical experience should be a torturous experience. I am tired of my mouth and tongue catching fire everytime I go out to eat anywhere in Nigeria. It’s officially over for me today. No more eating out. The past 2 weeks I have wasted close to 50000 Naira on food I end up giving away or throwing away. Am done. My tongue is ulcer-ed now because of this experiences. The worst culprit is THE PLACE on admiralty way beside Lennox mall. Those people are serving up a torturous experience and not a gastronomic delight. I even went to chicken republic and the chicken was so pepperish I had to throw it away. Yesterday I went to dominos pizza on admiralty way, you will think pizza will be safe from this excessive pepper madness but when I started eating the pizza my whole mouth exploded into fire. Come to find out they put those hot small pepper chunks in the sauce to make it. I have finally come to the conclusion that all Nigerian cuisine is overrated trash doused in so much pepper so you can’t taste the trash. It’s over . Only food I will buy outside now is Burger King nuggets and fries and that’s like once a month. Am done eating out. My tongue is under extreme duress as we speak. Went to this place yesterday for amala and ewedu. That was the final straw for me. The stew was so peppery that I had to abandon it and wash the fish with water so there is no stew on it and eat it, just so I don’t waste all my money. Am done

The truth is, if Obi won, fuel would be expensive now.

As at May 29 , 2003, NIgeria was using 99% of its revenue to service debt. Any money that would have been used to keep fuel below N300 or even below N200 would have had to come from taking more loans and more loans. Something had to give, and unfortunately it was the subsidy.

I am not here to say that tinubu is doing the right thing, especially since he has brought back subsidy since October 2023, otherwise fuel would have been over 1000 naira as it should be, and I am not here to say that APC knows better , but the fact is, we were in a position where we could no longer afford subsidy at the rate we were doing then.


Even now, we cannot afford subsidy.


All I would say is...in 2012, we had the last chance to be rid of subsidy. But most of you agreed ironically with Tinubu that it should remain....and here we are.


If we want more working refineries and more jobs in the petrol sector, we have to have fuel sold at market price. It is not a popular message. Yes, I am just as angry with the government , and yes, APC Has failed, and yes, Tinubu is not the best president we have had.

But right now, we are not earning enough money to pay for cheap stuff anymore. And it is very very painful






Calling me a tinubu supporter or a IMF Lackey does not change the sad fact.

Have you considered individual producers? Every 2nd family has a mini oil mill in the southeast. A small company of 5 people in SE can produce 5-10 tons a year.
village clans and age grades have combined oil palm production businesses on an SME level.

Even though the big companies have higher production in SS than Adapalm etc, their people scarcley produce at these enterprising levels prevalent in the SE

AdaPalm is the largest in the south east, with just a palm plantation of 4,310 hectares, Okomu Oil & Presco are both located in Edo state, they're the largest producers so far. Okomu alone has 12,500 hectares of palm plantation...

In the case of Nigeria, distance between Niger Delta And Kaduna Refinery is over 1,000km.

Think about:
1. Thousands of pipelines and their initial cost (millions of Dollars) , maintenance and surveillance for security and safety
2. So many compressor and pump stations have to be built along that line, the initial cost, constant manning, maintenance, replacement at end of life.
3. Flammable events due to exposure to vandals and the environmental impact and consequent plant shut down costs.

With Iron Ore you just ship by barge, truck or train. It is not flammable, no maintenance etc.

So you may need to revisit your assertion. Also that gravity thought too is off, if you know the viscosity of oil and flow assurance.

Refineries use OIL ,which are far easier to transport and can even run through pipelines utilising gravity in many areas.

India has many refineries without being an oil producing country.
