BusinessRe: Exxonmobil Returns To Nigeria With $1Billion Investment After Nearly A Decade by Gilgil: 5:58pm On Jul 09
Kindly change the topic to “ExxonMobil invests $1B in Usann field”. They never left at all. They just invested in drilling new wells after 10 yrs to tie-up to existing production facilities.

They had been in the country producing oil and gas since

PoliticsRe: The Next Lagos Governor Should Demolish The Following Places by Gilgil: 1:09am On Jun 19
Why don't you start tomorrow morning?

Airlord2030:
Alaba should be demolished
Trade fair should be demolished
Computer village should be demolished
Mandillas should be demolished
Ladipo should be demolished. Etc

We need more housing units to accommodate our population in Lagos . The lands of this places can comfortably accommodate 10,000 highrise housing units each....

Then the affected places should be rebuilt somewhere else...

Lagos can do better than having slums called markets litter everywhere in 2026.

Intelligence + EQ!

Respect! @essentialone

essentialone:
It sounds like you’ve been burned bad. When someone drains you mentally, emotionally, and financially, it’s easy to start seeing the whole gender as the problem.

But let’s slow it down for a second:

What’s real in what you said:
Some women will use a man. Same way some men use women. Some people see relationships as transactions – what can I get, how fast can I move to the next person. If you’ve run into a few of those, it scars you and makes every woman look like a threat.

Where it breaks:
Saying “every woman’s primary objective is to destroy men” doesn’t hold up. Your mom, sister, female friends – if they fit that description, you’d already be destroyed. Most women are out there working, struggling, loving, getting played by men too. The bag/shoes/makeup thing is real for some, but it’s not the operating system for all 4 billion women on earth.

The trap:
If you go into life seeing women as enemies, you’ll either:
1. Isolate and stay angry, or
2. Attract exactly the type of woman who confirms that belief – because hurt people, are easy to manipulate.

The men who “wake up and know peace” aren’t the ones who swore off women. They’re the ones who got better at spotting red flags, setting boundaries with money, and not confusing lust or validation with love. They spend on women who reciprocate effort, not on anyone who smiles at them.

Writing off all ladies, won’t give you peace – it’ll just give you bitterness, with wrinkled face.

Try and smile often. You will be okay las las.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria, Morocco Advance $25 Billion Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Deal by Gilgil: 1:01am On Apr 16
If you come off your tribalism, you will see the socio-economic reasons, but it's doubtful you will.

Why ship gas to Europe through a 6,900km pipeline with several risk factors along that pupeline when we can just convert our gas to LNG, thereby creating more Nigerian jobs and export the LNG for more revenue than just piping away our resources?

The writer did a terribly bad job. This article is what we call fluff without substance. I wasted my time reading nonsense without seeing the content of Production Tax Credit that Tinubu approved. That's where the writer missed the point.

PoliticsRe: King Charles III Hosted A Ceremonial Royal Carriage for President Tinubu by Gilgil: 8:53pm On Mar 18
It’s shameful for the president of a country with the highest level of poverty to spend so much to go meet their sl@fe masters who don’t even rate them or their citizens while insecurity is wiping out Nigerians and there is massive poverty, no electricity and poor standard of living.

Shame!
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Blast Governor Sanwo-Olu For Receiving Tinubu In The UK by Gilgil: 8:44pm On Mar 18
Bovis:
So many uninformed people in Nigeria. The governor is in London to network with captains of industry and attract more foreign investment to Lagos. Therefore, it’s logical for him to be part of the delegation to welcome the president
Look at it this way.

The Mayor of London flies to Washington DC to welcome the Prime Minister of Britain who came to see President Trump.
FoodRe: Cost Of 1kg Chicken In Nigeria Vs Other Countries by Gilgil: 9:06pm On Jan 09
The analysis said “ Fresh Whole Chicken”- meaning a live chicken freshly killed and cut to parts. Average weight of live broiler in Nigeria is 3.5kg and sold for between 25k (N7500/kg ~ $5.5/kg) and 30k (N8500/kg ~ $6/kg)

The post doesnt say it’s frozen chicken; it says fresh whole chicken

The reason these things happen is because they don’t work for the money.

PoliticsRe: Why Did Tinubu Wait For Trump’s Insults Before Acting? by Gilgil: 5:51pm On Dec 02, 2025

Or have we all forgotten how these same APC people touted Buhari’s body language and how it made beer to freeze in fridges nationwide? Hehehe

PoliticsRe: Insecurity: Those who told Tinubu all was well don't like him - Pst Adeboye by Gilgil: 10:18am On Nov 08, 2025
We saw it in the news please. It was live. I saw it in national news

myqel:
This is not true - Pastor Adeboye never 'came out with his full chest' against Jonathan; the picture people have always use to back up this lie is a picture of the prayer walk he took during Buhari's era - not Jonathan. In fact, Jonathan is arguably the closest president to Pastor Adeboye.

I know it might be difficult to believe because these lies have been mentioned for so long without anyone countering it. Just please research it yourself. Thank you
PoliticsRe: Insecurity: Those who told Tinubu all was well don't like him - Pst Adeboye by Gilgil: 10:15am On Nov 08, 2025
Sorry to disappoint you but he won’t.

Somebody whose member was doing morning cry in Abuja and she got murdered, yet he didn’t protest or call for justice. He only said he was not interested in the state prosecuting the killers. Perhaps because he didn’t want his estate endangered by polities power brokers?

From that day on, he lost my respect! And from that day on, more and more Christians got wacked and yet he remained mum!

Comparing with the Apostles of Christ, one would be tempted to say that this one doesn’t feed the flock, nor look after the sheep as a Christ commanded

wunmi590:
huh

Pastor Adeboyo should come out and speak about the genocide on Christians, just like every other pastors have been saying it, without mixing word, he shouldn't be doing hide and seek...

He should come out with his full chect just like he did during Jonathan regime..

Some of his members and pastors were killed while preaching, which he knows, so he should come out and stop hiding words
PoliticsRe: Insecurity: Those who told Tinubu all was well don't like him - Pst Adeboye by Gilgil: 10:11am On Nov 08, 2025
Why do people speak as though Tinubu has no brain?

When it comes to grabbing it and running with it, they say he is the Jagaban, Suckfisticated and a political god. But when it comes to his decisions of inaction and his bad behaviour they say it’s people around him?

Hypocrisy!

Brilliant! Geez! Are you intelligent or what!

Reference:
Hmmm...DMO.
I hope the sycos will not rename them the DeMarketing Organisation of Nigeria.

Folks, there is no alternative to a well run economy. No amount of cook books or white wash can make a meal out of a millstone or cover it.

You simply cannot kickstart an economic recovery with inflation hovering close to 30 percent. It is like trying to use firewood that has just been submerged in flood water.

When the average Nigerian (both individual and enterprise) burns the midnight oil trying to see where he can save money, where he can cut expenses, where he can trim staff and reduce overheads, where is the growth going to come from to trigger the recovery. Then you do more quantitative squeezing by the biggest tax grab in the history of the country.

Government has only two options. To either reduce inflation by investing in productivity (which it is not doing) or by spending, by replacing the lost purchasing power of the average Nigerian so as to keep factories going. But it is not doing that either.

It's spending remains clandestine and exclusive. That is why with all the claims of increasing revenues and allocations the impact on the economy is miniscule.
PoliticsRe: Negative Energy Takes You Nowhere - Bishop Kukah Tells Rufai Oseni by Gilgil: 7:41am On Aug 28, 2025
Oya list the progress in terms of:
1. National security
2. New real jobs
3. Food price
4. Standard of living
5. Healthcare
6. Education
7. Manufacturing
8. Exports

Ttalk:
No sane mind can deny that there are no progress since Bola Ahmed took over. Just like Kukah said there are progress being made different from what we have had in the past and no wound heal in a day.

The problem with those who criticized this government is borne out hate, envy and losing out on the prediction of doom.

Rufai Oseni is one of those people and looking at it critically there's underlining fear in him to have a change of mind and to admit that he has been wrong.

Time doesn’t change anything!

Positive planning, effort and character does. Nigeria would remain bad for the next million years unless effort is put into steer it back. So let’s focus on those efforts.

Newtons law of motion state that, “A body at rest would continue to remain at rest, and a body in uniform motion would continue to remain in uniform motion, UNLESS A NON-ZERO RESULTANT FORCE ACTS ON IT.

Britishpea:
Life is a progress. I am doing certain business that has made me to understand that you can never ever skip the process.

Nigeria needs time it will get there. We are a great people with bad psyche. The psyche needs time to blend.

Gradually the paradigm will be shifting towards the right place and we will have great people in power.

America is a large democracy. The people were brought up with a complete thinking different from ours.

An American doesn’t believe that when they grow old their children must inherit their responsibilities but it’s otherwise here.

An American doesn’t believe that a husband must saddle the home responsibilities by 90/100% but it’s not like that here.

You don’t expect the people with these types of thinking to have the same way of running the government.

We the people are the country… leadership is from the within! We still have people like Awolowo and I am a great leader to watch out for.

Knee-jerk cart-before-the-horse reaction!

Where are the inputs to industrialization? Nothing is on ground!

24hrs Electricity? For where? He is even spending 10 billion for solar panels in ASO rock!

Free flow of goods? Sea ports, inland waterways and interstate rail track for goods not on ground!

Fiscal policy to support local manufacturers? No accessible loans to businesses! High lending rates > 30% p.a for those 1% that are lucky

Etc etc etc

PoliticsRe: How Can Aso Rock Electricity Bill Be 47 Billion Yearly? by Gilgil: 3:36am On Apr 26, 2025
So at the Band A price, it means they use 214 Million units a year? That’s 214 Million KiloWatt Hour a year!!!!

That’s roughly 20 million units of electricity a month? 20 Million KWH a month? If an average Nigerian household of 3 bedroom flats runs 3 ACs of 1.5HP each and 2 freezers 24hrs a day for 30 days NIN-stop, they won’t consume 1,000 units. So that roughly means ASO rock uses electricity of 20,000 households on uninterrupted electricity per month (20,000,000 /1,000 =20,000 ) or more like 60,000 average Nigerian households who have 8 hrs of electricity per day every day with no failure!!

Even the highest electricity consumers in electricity being steel plants that use electric arc furnaces for melting steel have not used 1% of that sef in a year

I spit on their corruption!

At this rate, where is the hope for Nigeria? Renewed Hope?
All those Efulefus who come out and say people are speaking I’ll if their country won’t say a word now!

Otherwise, elected officials should do their jobs and stop troubling God!

Why would God do the job while you take huge salaries to yourselves?
