Episode 1
I was posted to an eastern state. Those
three weeks I spent at NYSC camp were
the worst three weeks of my life. After camping, I got my PPA posting and
guess what, I was sent to a government
girls secondary school to do my service!!! I
was beyond excited despite the location of
the school. Omoh, d school dey 4 village but I no care,
I was just happy to be a king among
women (girls sha). Next, I and three other coppers went to
the school to sign our acceptance letter.
Omoh, the principal come say she no want

why this woman won come turn my wine to water na? Which kain devil be dis na?. We beg tire but d woman say we dey
waste time say her decision na final. I then
told the woman that I got a vision that God
wants me to serve in that school. She look me laff come say among all of us,
na me she fear pass cuz her girls go
pursue me. Wow!!!… I Don hang. But, “u look very
gentle n responsible” was her next
comment. I then gave her an innocent
smile to cement her first mistake (she
wouldn’t believe I could f**k the
assistant principal). After a little brain-washing by me (trust

resume duty next week Monday……
Episode 2
I arrived the school on Monday morning
feeling fly and ready for whatever. I was
offered a table in the science lab which
would serve as my office but I refused it
cuz it was located at the junior section of
the school. Nawa oh, wetin I dey do for Junior section

we alighted .we were surprise, 'cause of

us.My dad lied flat on the ground for Ebiere's dad."Please forgive
me for all the things I have wrong you
and your family" my dad pleaded."I have
forget
about all that" Ebiere's dad said and raised
him up.They cuddle each other and I look at Ebiere."Will you marry me" I propose to

in that selfsame hour with my kneel on the
ground."Yes" she said and raised me up.I
kiss her and lift her up in the present of Joy,Kethrine and others.

like someone that didn't take part in the
deadly journey."It was God that saved us" he
said with his kneel on the ground thanking
God."Will you still go to Europe?" I asked him
jokingly."I will not go but I will not join Benin FC.It is better I continue to do my
yahoo,yahoo business than to join Benin FC"
he said.I have totally forget my journey to
England before I saw a girl that look familiar
with Ebiere.The girl's face really remind me
of Ebiere .I need to go to Europe through the Meditarian sea, 'cause that will be more

out of the boat .If any sharp object pierce the
boat ,that will be the end of our
lives.Unfortunately there was a heavy storm
and the boat was trying to sink."We are all
going to die" I said.Those that knows how to swim started jumping down but I don't know
how to swim and the boat was covered with
water.I found myself on top of a white bed
inhaling
oxygen.I was surrounded by white ladies that

her some fibs and folktale about Nigeria.She was really enjoying it.She gave me a peck on
my cheek and dragged me to a pool that is at the back
of their house.She unclad herself excluding

trouser.I was left alone with my boxer.she
jumped into the pool and signaled me with her hand to join her."Are you afraid" she
said."Yea, I don't know how to swim" I let
slip."Don't worry,I will be teaching you how

of the pool and pushed me into the
water."Someone help me" I screamed.I was busy drinking the water while she was
laughing at me.She swam to me and gave me

couldn't sleep throughout the night.She
was really loving and caring .She would

promise and love I have for Ebiere .I use the the whole night to mourn for her.I was
overcome by sleep in the morning.I was
still
asleep before Musa woke me
up."Abeg,ogar
wake up, go put something for your belle.You
never eat for the past five days" he said
and
I summoned some strength to stand up from
the mat I
was lying down.I rushed to the backyard ,I washed my face,leg , hand and I break a
stick to chew, 'cause I have not brush my
teeth for the past two month.It was just
chewing stick throughout ,I don't even
know
whether my mouth is stinking or not.I struggle to eat and drink the kunu and
beans ball that I was giving as break
fast.Musa took
me to a field where I really enjoy myself,
'cause I was good at soccer.I scored super
hattrick against my opponent.After the climax of the ball. Kwara fc coach approached
me
and begged me to join his team but I
refuse.I don't want anything to hinder me
from going to England .It was getting
dark,so I decided to go home with Musa ."Musa ,I
want to go to Libya tomorrow .Take me to
any
of your friend that is going to Libya
tomorrow " I said and he tried to stop me from going ."Ogar na beg I dey
beg you,make you change your mind.Even me

fear to go Libya, because my younger

my room and slept off.I was dreaming
how my journey was going to be, I died in the
dream before the voice of a rooster woke
me up.I look
at the wall clock,it was 5'o clock.I stood
up,went outside as usual to wash my body
before I took my break fast .Musa took me to
his friends house were his friends and I
went
to a place where only trucks that is heading
to Libya are parked .We entered the truck .
The truck driver started the truck and took the route to the sahara desert .
We were more than fifty people on the
truck.The journey was worst than I
taught .When we reach sahara
desert,people started falling out of the truck.Due to the rate of
wind there.If you fall out ,the truck will not
stop to carry you.You will be on your
own.It
is now three days and we have not yet
reach the middle of Sahara desert ,talk less of
passing it.The food that I took for the
journey has already finish.Some of the
people that were
on the truck began to cry of hunger while
some where praying for journey mercy.We were more than fifty that took part in the
journey but right now as I'm telling you.
We
are only twenty left.Only the odour of the
people will kill you, ,'cause we have not
wash out face,hand and leg for days,talk less of
taking our bath.Oh my God.the water I put
in
my water can has finish.How am I going to
reach Libya without tasting any
water."Today ,today ,tomorrow no more.If I die today,I will die no more" we started
singing , 'cause no sooner than now,we are
all going to be dead men.At last we
reached Libya.We were only five that
survive and out of that, two persons died
as we stopped and alighted from the truck
While three persons were ill,including
me,they rushed us to a near by clinic.One of
us
died in the clinic due to lack of blood in his body .No adequate facility and
apparatus was in the clinic .When they found out
that we are Nigerians,they deported us
back .The only person that survive with me
in the
journey to Libya was a Benin."What is your name?" I asked him."My name is Ehikioya"
he
said."My name is Karis .Where are we
going
to go now.I don't know anyone here and I
don't have any money with me" I said.. "Let's go to my homeland" he said.We
sneaked
out of our camp,where all those that are
deported from Libya stayed.Ehikioya and I started asking for alms in
disguise like a two blind beggars.We were able to raise five thousand naira from our
begging .
We entered a bus that was moving from
Abuja
to Benin route.Finally we were in
Benin.Ehikioya took me to his abode and introduce me to his family."You have such a
nice appartment and a loving wife.What
even make you to abandone your family to
Libya?
I asked him."I was not heading to Libya ,I
only wanted to go to Europe from Libya" he said
."By the way,what do you want to go and
do
in Europe? " I asked curiously."I want to go and play
football .Football is the only sport that fetch
people cool money" he said."Why don't you join
Benin FC" I said while folding my hands to
listen to his tales."I don't want to play for
local club like Benin FC.I want to play for
Manchester United .Do you want Nigerian
clubs to kill my career,Nigeria that don't value sport.No good stadium and
facility.They are not going to pay you well"

stood up and greeted"good morning sir"."Out
of all of you that is going to participate in this exam,is only twenty students that will be

further their education abroad .I am going
to go back with your scores to know
the lucky students that will be awarded
scholarship .You all Should put all your effort and write well"he
adviced us and walked out of the hall.A black
man came and give every one of us a
question paper with an answer sheet."You all
Should
start now.The exam is going to stop at 12:30pm"he said and walked out of the
hall.There was no room for exam
malpractice ,because we were supervised
the white.This question are simple.Thank
God almost all the things sir.Lambert was
teaching Joy was set . I was happy as I saw it.I
was just marking the correct answers in the
objective part as if I was given an expo . In the
essay part ,I
started answering the questions that I know
before I tackle the difficult ones .The black man that gave us the
question papers walk into the exam

would have not been passing through all this

Karis barked angrily.When I heared his word I

murmured."Don't worry,since it is 6pm,we are going to see him" my dad said
.Everybody started coming out of their
various offices and began to head home.
Suddenly I saw a man with red t-shirt and a
pair of jean trouser."Dad,look,it is him".I
pointed to the man's direction .My dad went and confronted him, "you are the one that gave
me this envelope to help you deliever it to
sir Lambert"said my dad ."I don't know you
and I don't know what you are talking about"
the stranger lied.
"Why are you lying"I said and my dad gave him the
envelope back ."I said ,I don't know you and I
work here" the stranger throw the envelope
back to
my dad when he saw sir Lambert coming out
of his office."Are you trying to call me a liar" out of annoyance my dad gave him a heavy
slap (kpom!).My dad and him started to wrestle each other before sir Lambert
approached the scene ."Why are you guys

to give you" my dad explained."Sir,I

know him,he just approach me that am the
one that gave him this envelope in the
morning,maybe this man is having some psychological problem" said the stranger
."Why are
you accusing my staff Of what he don't know
about!" sir Lambert exclaimed and called the
police.Few
minute later,the police came,handcuffed my dad,carried him into their van and they
zoomp off. I dialed my mum number with my
dad phone
that was with me."Honey,what is restricting you

detained by the
police" I said and explained the incident that led

and headed to the police station .In the police
station,I saw a black short bulky man that is
putting on khaki at the counter.Immediately
he saw me,he opened his mouth and interrogated me
"pretty girl,what are you doing here,who are
you looking for and what brought you
here?"he asked."I came here to see my dad
"I said
."Who's your dad" he asked. "His name is lucky.He's the tall old man that was brought
here by your collegues" I said ."Take her to
cell 22" he commanded a tall hungry
looking
man."Yes sir" the man answered and took me to cell 22.When I saw my dad, I could not utter a word,because he was
looking
tattered and hungry with an unclad body, left
alone with a pajamas to cover his private
part.Tears flowed out of my eyes
uninvited ."Ebiere,don't cry, I know that I will get out of this cell very soon ,because I am
innocent" my dad said using his hand to wipe
away my tears.I couldn't help than to cry the

me to open the door.I went to the
door knob and ajared it,guess who I saw,it
was sir Kuro,"good day sir" I greeted and ushered him in.He located an empty sit and sat down."Good day sir" he greeted my dad ."You are
welcome my son" my dad replied."Am sorry
for what my dad did.Forgive me,is my
fault"sir Kuro apologised , "is not your fault,you were only
trying to help my family and my daughter"
my dad said ."I know the pains I have
inflicted on your family,just because of I tried to help you,you were innocent,you knows
nothing about it but my dad refuse to take heed of your word,please forgive my dad"
sir Kuro pleaded. "I have forgiven him and I don't
have
any urge against him ".Sir Kuro turned his
face to my direction, "you said I should not
help you,you need to accept this help from me,it will favour you" he said ,"what's that?" I asked "I want you to go and meet the Minister of education ,mr Lambert, he's a good friend of mine .He may be a help

Yesterday dusk was too long,thank God it is

replied him, "you are welcome". "I want you
to do me a favour" the stranger said ."What's
that?" my
dad asked."I want you to give this to
mr.Lambert" he handed my dad an envelope."Come in" a
voice said from inside .We opened the door
and went in."Good day sir" my dad greeted him,"morning,what brought you here" the
Minister asked ."Sir Kuro said,I shld come and
see you for the scholarship exam that is approaching,that
you might be a help to
my daughter and someone said I shld give
you this" .My dad gave the minister the envelope.
The minister collected and opened it,it was
a money."Are you guys trying to bribe me,get out of my office !"the
minister exclaimed with anger and threw the
envelope

consciousness . I walked to my dad. "Dad,don't worry,everything is going to be alright,the
Lord made a way where there is no way,out
of no where the Lord made water for the Israelites when they were in need of
water ,sorrow may be endure for a night but
joy cometh in the morning " I Consoled my
dad
with my right hand on his shoulder and I used my left hand to wipe away the well of water that flow out of his eyes freely like a
spring.
(kpor-kpor) someone knocked our door . "Come in" I said to the person that knocked the door .My uncle opened the door and came inside."Good afternoon sir" I greeted my uncle .I offered him a sit and left the sitting room. "Thank you my daughter"

said and turned his face to look my dad who was

pain . "I heared what happened to you ,that's
why I could not help than to come hear to console you.Don't worry my brother,I will
talk to the king .Let him think about it and call you back.I don't see any crime that

herself ."Now eat,you deserve it,you are a king" he mocked my dad.My dad has no

than to eat and wait for the arrival of the
king's final word. "Well,well, you have the
guts to turn my son to be your daughter's
personal teacher, my son is now your son,very soon you will claim my kingdom
while am still alive , turn my sons to be your
male servants,my wives to be your maid
and make me to be your chauffeur" the king

went to the town hall after he received the

through a text message.Everybody gather
patiently to wait for what bring the king to the town hall.
"I came here to announce the names of
people that pass their WAEC in this village"
the king said ."Let him say the result ,let us
here" a
villager said ."This are the names of people that pass their WAEC. "The king said ,he
called from 1-30 and my name has not been
mention. I was no longer interested to listen
anymore because my soul was feel with
grief and disappointment ,tears began to roll
down from my eyes profusely .So all my effort,my time I use to study is invain .I was
on my way home before I heared my name
mentioned.Immediately I heard my name,
joy came into me after my name was
mention and defeated the grief and
disappointment in me,my tears was now turned to
tears of joy and not sorrow.I walk
majestically like a princess on a
carriage."Dad the WAEC result was read out
by the King at the town hall and my name
was among the lucky students that pass the WAEC" I said with joy all over my face,my
dad cuddled me and my mum embrace me
,followed by my sibling.We were all happy

away by happiness and celebration that Joy
pass her WAEC .I went further to meet Joy
."Congratulation for passing your Waec" I said ."Thank you" Joy replied. "Are you not
going to entertain me?" I asked jokingly. "There is
nothing for you 'cause you came uninvited
and you didn't inform me that you are going
to come" Joy said giggling her eyes "Any way I didn't come for that, can you excuse
me with your laptop " I requested. "What do you want to do with it?" Joy asked curiously."I want to
use
it to check my WAEC result" I said ,waiting
for her to grant me my request."Do you even
know how to operate laptop" Joy mocked
me."Are you trying to insult me" I said. "Is just a question " Joy went into her room and
came back with her laptop ."I give you 30
seconds to check your result " she handed me her laptop .I plugged the laptop to their wall
outlet,press the on button of the laptop and wait for it to boot.I
entered the Waec site,type my examination number and center.the result appeared on
the screen and I was about to look my result
before I discovered that the laptop has been
unplugged ."Who unplug the laptop" I asked
anxiously. "Am sorry ,your time has expire"
Joy said while laughing at me."But I didn't even see my result" I
murmured."Give me my laptop!" joy exclaim
and dragged the laptop from my hand.I
was
speechless and dumbfounded .I summon

hope there will be a lot drinks?" the king asked. "I can
do anything to please you,just come with an
extra stomach because I don't think this your
big stomach will be able to consume all those delicacy
that await you" Joy's dad said in a beguiling
manner. "I'll come with more than extra
stomach 'cause my entire household will come with me"the king said . The King really
has a
big stomach like Joy's dad said,he is fond of
eating
and drinking,that's why he love party ."I
have renovate my home to a castle and I have prepare a royal chair for you because
you are special and great" Joy's dad said .

***** AT SEIKEME'S HOME*****
The King drove into Joy's compound and
alighted .Joy's dad and his entire household came out and welcome him ."Oh! my king,
you are indeed welcome " Joy's dad said and
prostrated before him. "Stand up,I give you
pass mark" the king said. "Tell your driver to
stay outside " Joy's dad whispered to the
king."Gabriel, you stay and watch over the car" the king craved and Joy's father ushered
them in
and gave them a sit. "Feel free and
comfortable " Joy's dad said,he gave them
drink and
walked to his wife ."Sweet heart give them the special delicacy " Joy's dad said while Joy's
mum went into the
kitchen and dished the francophone fried rice
that they bought from Kilimajaro,she put it on
a tray and gave it to Joy, "go and serve your
inlaws and future husband to be" Joy's mum said ."Is
my pleasure "Joy replied and went to the dining
room ."Taste my special meal that I prepare
for you all" Joy said while she serve them
the
meal."your food taste good" the king said. "Thank you sir,is my desire to make you and
your family feel comfortable tonight with my
special delicacy " Joy said while she giggled her eyes at Karis. "you are really a
good cook" the king added ."Thank you sir"
Joy said
."You are really a house wife material ,I need someone like you to take care of my son and
to cook a nice meal for him" the king said.
"Hahaha" Joy laughed and started starring at
Karis .They were all having fun before the
fun was interrupted by sir Kuro as he stood up. "Is this the reason why you guys call us for dinner" sir Kuro said angrily. "Are you
not
enjoying it" Joy's dad asked. "Yes am not
enjoying it" sir Kuro said and grabbed his
wife's
hand.He head toward the door . "Please excuse me for a minute " Joy's dad told the
king and run toward sir Kuro but sir Kuro
ignored
him and head home with his wife.Seikeme
{Joy's father) went back to join the king
in the dining before Karis stand up. "Are you going as well" Joy asked. "Yeah ,your house
is too boring " Karis said. "Don't you enjoy the
meal?" Joy asked. "I didn't enjoy it,your meal
has upset my stomach " Karis said while
squeezing his face and went out of the

said and persuade Moluf who is a cultist . "That 's not a problem, I can handle that"he said

#AT_EBIERE'S COMPOUND I was busy studying
my past question papper before someone dragged it
from my hand. "What do you want to do with?"
I asked angrily . "Nothing , I just want you to fail your exam " he said with a smile
."Give me back my WAEC pass question paper " I pleaded but he ran away with it and dumped it
in a rushing stream .My parents came back
and saw me when I was crying bitterly. "Why are you
crying ?"my dad asked curiously. "my
past WAEC que paper was hijacked away by
Moluf, the bully " I manage to speak while I was still crying. My dad cuddled me and whispered
into my ear."My daughter don't worry,God
will take control"

#THE_KINGS_COMPOUND
"Good morning,my
lord "my dad greeted him "you are welcome"
Gabriel said while pressing his laptop. "I want you to take me to my office "Gabriel
commanded him."yes sir"my dad replied and
took his portfolio and put it in the front sit of the king's
black jeep ."Good morning sir" Sir Kuro greeted my dad while standing close to his own car in the king's garage ."Good
morning young boss" my dad replied him while waiting for the king to come out. "Tell
Ebiere to study hard 'cause her WAEC is
next week" sir Kuro said. He entered his car ignited the engine and drove off .[#AT_SCHOOL]

Juliet and I were reading for our WAEC under an apple tree before
Joy appeared with her peer group. "Have you paid your contribution" Joy asked
mockingly ."I haven't " I said with a
sad face. "Do you think you can pass
your WAEC without paying for expo " she
said and jeered me with her peer groups .I
ignored her and went to read in a diluted place .
Suddenly sir.Kuro walk to where I
was reading. "why are you not reading with
your classmate outside?" sir.Kuro asked ."I
just like to read in a solitary place" I lied.
"Have you pay your contribution?" he asked.
"No sir"I said. "Ok ,have a nice day "he said and went out of sight. We all went to our
class to write the Waec. "How are you doing?"
Karis asked "Am fine " I replied. "How was today's paper?" he asked."It was not that difficult "I said. "I hope you
wrote well?" he asked "Yea and you" I said.
"Not all that ,are you going home" he asked. "Yeah" I said with my eyes looking the
ground . "Would mind if I take you home?" he asked impatiently .. "No ,thanks"I said and walked away from him.
After my last paper,I went to meet Juliet at the school field ."Is like Karis is falling in love with you " Juliet said while playing with my
hair. "I don't think so" I said before sir.Kuro
approached us ."How are you girls doing?" he
asked. "we are fine" we all chorused. "I hope
you guys wrote your last paper well" he
asked."Yea, we did we" we all gave him a chorus answer ."Do you guys mind if I drop
you at your destination?" Sir.Kuro asked."No, we don't" we said .We
all walked down to were he packed his car,I
was shock when I saw Karis at the wheel,he
smiled happily when he saw me.we entered the
car and Karis ignited the engine of the car.He drove Juliet to the compound of her house and drove me to the front of my
house. "I want to see Ebiere's dad before I go
home,are you coming with me?" Sir.Kuro asked
Karis."No I will stay and look after the car"
Karis said with a smile on his face.Sir Kuro and I went into the house ,we greeted my mom
and dad . He went privately to speak with
my dad.Joy and I live in thesame compound
but different house. Karis was taking a walk
around the compound before he felt a cold
water on his face ."why do you splashed me with your water?" he asked with a frown .
"Am sorry "Joy pleaded and tried to clean his face with a towel. "Get away from me!"
he shouted at the top of his voice. He pushed
her away and went back to were he parked

I was busy washing plate and thinking of
what to eat, before I heard my father's
voice,"Ebiere"my father at the top of his
voice, I ran out to meet him,"Dad,I am here “I muttered. "what are you going to eat" he
asked ."Dad forget about it, I can take care of
myself" I said. I quickly ran into the
bathroom
and took my bath without caring whether
there is food in my little stomach; I took my bag and dash out of the house. The journey to
my school is about three hours by foot. I was
walking until I reach the main road, one leg
of my sandal cut off while I was walking ,I
holded the sandal on my hand till I reached my school compound . I was already late for class but unfortunate my teacher was waiting for me to come before he may start his class . I greeted
him and walked into the class with my dirty
legs as a result of the length I took before I
reached my school .We were all preparing for
our West Africa Examination Council ( WAEC ) but I have not paid my WAEC fee because my parents have no money to give
me. After class Sir
Kuro, my class teacher called me to see him
before I should take my leave home."Ebiere ,why have you not pay
your WAEC fee" he asked, “sir, I don't think I
can write my WAEC this year" I replied, I was surprise when he shook his hand inside
his pocket. He brought out thirty thousand
naira and gave me to go and pay for my
WAEC registration . "Thank you sir" I said and
dash out with the money to the principal's
office. (kpor kpor!) I knocked the principal's office. "who's there a voice called from inside the office, I quickly
opened the door and greeted him. I gave
him my
WAEC registration money"I hope you are
reading toward your WAEC?"he asked
anxiously. "Yes sir" I answered. "Am through with you, you can go" he said and wrote my
name on a register and tick all the subject that
I do offer to write.”Good afternoon mom
and dad “I greeted "you are welcome
“they chorused in unison. "Why are you looking extremely excited?" my dad asked anxiously . "I am happy 'cause my WAEC registration has been paid" I
said happily. "Who paid it for you?" my dad asked impatiently ."Sir Kuro gave me
the money" I replied. "Thank God, I will also
thank him, Sir Kuro has been a help to this
family, since I started to work as his father's chauffeur" my dad said. My dad do worki for the father of my teacher, who is
the king of Bebelebiri 2 village and my
teacher was the first son of the king."Good
morning “my uncle greeted my dad and
entered our house.”You are welcome "my dad said and offered him a sit. "Brother, I
need the piece of land that was given to you
by our late father “my uncle said jokingly but mean it ."Over my
dead body!" my dad replied him with anger
and my uncle walked out of the house like a frustrated kid that his mum refuse to give him what he want, my uncle
Seikeme was a very wicked and cunning
man who clothed himself like a wolf in sheep
clothing.

[AT BEBELEBIRI 2 COMMUNITY SCHOOL ]
Everybody was busy studying their WAEC past question paper, but I have none, since I
came from a poor family and my parents
can't afford to buy me one, “Please lend me
one of your past question paper for a minute"
I asked Sege. "No!”He said. I have no other
option than to forget about it ."The King's son is coming “Juliet said, Juliet was my class
mate and my best companion at school .All
eyes was on the king's son as he is
approaching the class, he is tall in height, fair
in complexion and he's love by all the
girls and they all aspire to be his girl friend due to the fact that he has a blue blood in his vein and he's kind .He
walked to Sege ."Give me the past
question paper “he ordered. Sege gave him
without restriction .He took the past question
paper from him and handed it to a little boy,
“go and photocopy it for me "he told the little boy .The little boy took the question
paper from him and went to photocopied it.
"Am back, you can have your paper" the little
boy said "I don't need it ,go and give it to that
girl" Karis said ,pointing his hand toward my
direction .The little boy took the question paper and ran toward my direction . I
was spotted with my cousin Joy and my
friends. "Look Karis is sending that little boy
to come and give me the past question paper"
Joy said with joy and happiness all written on her
face .Joy was in love with Karis but she can't tell him,but to our greatest surprise ,the little
boy came and handed me the past question
paper "Are you
sure am the right person? " I asked anxiously .
"yea"he said and ran out of sight without
waiting to hear my next word .To be continue

PROLOGUE

Ebiere is a story about a girl name Ebiere who is the
eponymous character of the prose.She's a girl
with ambition to be educated like any other girls .Despite the fact that she was not born
in bed of roses ,she didn't allow that to hinder
her .Her uncle Seikeme was trying to hinder her
from achieving her aspiration to study
abroad to become her parents pillar because
he has seen that she's more brilliant than his daughter Joy, who has hatred for Ebiere
because of Karis the prince of Bebelebiri 2 ,who
shower the love that aspire for her
cousin Ebiere.He went further to bribe the
minister of education ,just to swap Joy's
name with Ebiere whose name was among those that pass the scholarship exam but
unknown to Seikeme and the Minister of
Education ,the whiteman who is incharge of
the Scholarship exam ,went with his own
list.When the whiteman discover that one of
the name from the Minister of Education list does not correspond with the name on his
list,he told the Minister to go and look for the
participant whose name is on his list but not
on the Minister of Education list.The Minister
of Education went to the girl's house,whose
name he remove from his list and he gave her the Scholarship letter .Read the story to
find out the girl that the Minister of Education
give the Scholarship letter , find out the
relationship between Ebiere and Karis that
led to the hatred Joy possess for her cousin
Ebiere and find out why Ebiere uncle is working tooth and nail to frustrate and
hinder Ebiere to become a pillar to her
