eclipsehemmy: 3 already commissioned officers to screen we d candidates..... That's the highest in recent times meaning the shortlistment may be more this year..... My pops has been on the board for 4 consecutive years from DSSC 19 in Ibadan.... And he always represented his Corp alone but this year one Lt col and two majors from his Corp.... Which makes him ineligible Cox he is higher than those ranks..... So adding one plus one means army may shortlist more people reason they asked for more officers to partake in the screening.... We all should remain prayerful and pray for grace and Favour.... Connection or not......... Prayers and God is everything or maybe the reason for having many officers on board is because they would treat the entire 36 states and FCT in one batch as different from other times when they did it in two batches. just an assumption |

Boyka007: You clearly didn't follow the discussion. The person I was responding to said he printed two copies of parent consent form and I told him he was supposed to print just one. Besides I don't believe people need to print nd save 50 copies. Let me ask you, you have just one copy of ur waec, bsc nd other certs. Have u misplaced them? Lol You know what Lets just chill and wait for the list to be released.. That's when you would see confusion from a lot of people who printed just one copies We go they here they read together na (even if our names dey the list we go still dey here for updates) From the Air Force and naval thread alone. I see things laugh wan kill me Some people never expected their names to come out but it did, only to find out they didn't even print any copy |

eDoctorr: I am not saying everyone should do like me but at least, for a safer side, one should have soft copies aside enough hard copies.
If NA says we should print coloured today, I'd just access the e-copies and reprint.
I downloaded the files on system after registration, copied them to the phone and then pushed it into google drive.
It doesn't cost me one naira, coz I printed with my printer.
But no matter how, even if you register in a CAFE, you can just tell them to help u send the soft copies to your phones, they'd gladly do it without any surcharging. Exactly, always satisfy your conscience. |

abiodunalasa: Phone, Laptop, Google drive and yet 4 hard copies each! Bro there's a thin line between "careful" and "paranoia". Me Thinking out of the box Could be he made 4 copies of each for reasons below Gave one copy to his parent/guardian to sign ( just one page signed out of 4, it comes back to him with the remaining pages blank) Gave one copy to an officer to acknowledge his local government (also, 1 page signed, others blank) Did the same for the remaining two copies NB: I remember 2013, I gave an officer just the local government attestation form to sign, he said he won't sign it until he sees the entire print out (that is the one carrying both local government attestation, parent/guardian as well as the photo card) By doing this, when all comes back, you just attach the signed ones to complete what you need and keep the rest, an officer or a good Samaritan may come and say give me one of your forms, I think I know someone who can help, is that when you start running to a cafe? Just my thoughts |

zinaunreal: You just keep confusing people sir The highest rank in any given corp is major general, so how can nysc dg have two major gens at a time
When has the entire army ever had two lieutenant generals at a time?
Has the armed forces ever had two four star generals at a time?
Regular or not Every rank comes with an office. They cant force rank on people just coz you are regular or dssc. The army is structured and organized you didnt get me, there are two major generals in the education corp (NAEC - Nigerian Army education Corps) at the moment (it has not happened in a long time infact i dont think it has ever happened) 1. DG NYSC 2. Education corp commander most DG's were retired as Brigadier Generals |

AirmanB: The former cheif of army staff was not an RC. He was originally an SSC officer. ehnnnnnnn dont say what you are not sure of LT Gen OA Ihejirika (Rtd.) is a regular combatant officer not SSC converted the only close SSC officer that would have become Chief was the GOC 1 DIV like six years back ( cant remember his name) Only the airforce accepts DSSC officers for Chief or air staff positions (however, you must be a pilot) |

sojeee: RC's are always posted to juicy units to be rich and be commanders where there is comfort. getting posted to these juicy units you said is also not automatic for RC officers you most likely must lobby and have proved over time that you are a capable leader and same way do DSSC officers lobby(but not for all positions, just some) but you see RC, they can even be corp commanders of another corp. |

Heatup47: Stop all this lies, "Army is Army". RC, SSC and DSSC are all presidential commissions.
The only group, which I know calls DSSC and SSC officers names are NCOs(Non Commission Officers) who don't like the fact that after just 6/9 months training you become their boss. Army is about seniority and seniority is as follows RC, SSC, DRC, DSSC and EC.
you guys should stop discouraging applicants on this thread.
"Army is Army". not all regular combatants would make major general not all SSC officers would make Brigadier General not all DSSC officers would make colonel what i typed above is the usual rank officers of the various commissions should reach if they are discipline, cracked, good lobbyist and live long if you check the army bible today, 70 - 80 percent major generals are regular combatants 10 to 15 percent are short service combatants converted to regular 5 percent or even less are DRC officers (DSSC converted to DRC) so don't console yourself thinking army is army, except you are in the medical or education corp where regulars are not found |
