In a bid to nudge his wife out of their matrimonial home, a middle aged man, Mr. Ganiu Okini stormed grade ‘A’ customary court, Ojo, Lagos, seeking for the formal dissolution of his marriage but it was a twist of tales when his embittered wife exposed his shenanigans.

The father of three who was bent on dissolving the 18- year old union, filed for divorce on the grounds of lack of care and respect, irreconcilable difference and no more love.

While explaining to the members on the court why he strongly upheld that only divorce is the possible solution to his marital chaos, the visibly aggrieved man narrated his 18- years sojourn with Kehinde Okini.

“Kehinde has been a very obstinate woman but she got worse recently. She finds it very difficult to take care of me. I have tried all I could to make her turn a new leaf and start seeing and treating me as her husband and man of the house.

She hardly cooks my food or gives me any form of respect. I have even reported her to family members but all their efforts met with brick walls.
Her bad character often makes me stay out late before coming back home. Kehinde has a razor tongue and once she starts, nothing can stop her until she is done with whatever is on her mind. ”

On that note, the Lagos state based businessman prays the court to grant him his prayers for dissolution and the custody of the three kids produced by the union.

However, in a bid to defend the allegations against her, Mrs. Okini opened can of worms on her estranged hubby exposing all his hidden atrocities.

In her defensive words, “I have been married to my husband for over 18years now, I have also been a wife to him, a mother and a sister to his family members. Yet I am not treated as such.
To make matters worse, they connived and hide my husband’s mistress and child from me. But unfortunately for them, the girl in question was a very close friend.
When I was pregnant with our last child my friend and I went to the same hospital for antennal care because she was pregnant too.

I never had an inkling that the baby she was carrying was for my husband too. I took her as a good friend and sister but she was stabbing me right at my back by sleeping with my husband under my nose,” she recalled in an emotion laden voice.

Continuing, the trader, obviously not ready to let her husband go regardless of his mischievous acts said she got wind of the love-child when her friend could no longer bottle it up. Instead she confessed in details how their extra marital affairs started.

“She told me, my husband was pestering her with calls and text messages. She also claimed, she never intended to get pregnant but to have a fling with him and it resulted into a baby. My husband family members were all aware of all these but they hid it from me until I heard from the horse’s mouth.

I still love my husband and value our marriage for the sake of our kids. I am willing and ready to forgive him and restore peace in our broken home.”

The case was adjourned to a later date giving the couple chance to try reconciliation and live happily again.

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, recently shared a post to emphasise his position in the family by uploading a photograph of his elder brothers, pointing out that many people were not aware that he was the last child of veteran actor, Pete Edochie.

In a chat with Saturday Beats, the younger Edochie noted that even though he was the baby of the house, he was never pampered.

He said, “A lot of people think I am the only child probably because I am the most popular one and it happens often; they keep asking the same question.

“I just felt I should state it that I’m the last child of my father. Even as the last child, I was treated like every other child; maybe I got some special treatment as the last child.

“A lot of people used to refer to me as my father’s handbag. I learnt a lot from my elder brothers and when I messed up, they dealt with me.

“We grew up like soldiers, I wasn’t treated specially. My parents were very strict; they didn’t spare me.

“There are some qualities I would forever cherish that I got from my parents like respect and being prayerful.

“It is not easy to raise five boys; they are all graduates. We are all doing well in our respective fields; I learnt a lot from them.”

Edochie, who was recently involved in a fatal motor accident, appreciated God for sparing his life, adding that the incident has taught me him many valuable lessons.

“I was driving alone; I was close to Ore and the car swerved to the left and hit a culvert and went upside down.

“I believe it is a miracle; God still wants me around. It taught me that life is very short. I have been driving for over 18 years and never knew I was going to have an accident that day.

“People have been involved in such situations and lost their lives but I only came out with little scratches. It was God’s grace at work.”

EFCC, Ibadan zonal office, on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, arrested three suspected internet fraudsters.

They were picked up at Ologuneru and Olodo areas of Ibadan, Oyo State after days of surveillance mounted on them to test the veracity of allegations of fraudulent activities and flamboyant life without tangible source of income, levelled against them in series of petitions authored by their neighbours.

The suspects are Ajaguna Quadri Biola (27), Nafiu Moshood (23) and Anuoluwapo James Olasupo (22).

At the time of his arrest, Biola, who claimed to be an undergraduate of the Polytechnic, Ibadan, was in possession of one 2008 Toyota Camry car, two laptops, one iPhone X, two internet modems and one smartwatch.

Mosheed said he is a student of Alayande College of Education, Oyo State. Items recovered from him are one iphone 8 plus, one Tecno phone and one laptop.

In his own statement, Olasupo claimed to be a phone engineer. Two laptops, one phone and one mobile wifi were recovered from him. They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
