A self-acclaimed relationship counselor has claimed that a woman, who once reached out to him to complain of abuse in her marriage, has finally been killed by her abusive husband.

Solomon Buchi wrote: "A woman reached across to me last year about her abusive hubby who’d kneel her down and flog her, went as far as pushing her down the stairs. Today I heard she’s dead, she died in the marriage weeks ago, her hubby punched her throat and that was it. Phew. Women, leave to live."

Zamfara state police command have arrested 24 notorious criminals belonging to different syndicates of Armed robbers, Rapist, serial snatchers of Motor cycles, tricycles, Kidnapping and other heinous crime in different locations and hideout in the state.

The state commissioner of police CP Usman Nagoggo revealed this to newsmen at the force headquarters in Gusau, Wednesday.

Nagoggo revealed that, thirty two different brands of motorcycles and seven vehicles. Others are four plasma TVs, Three Generators, one sewing machine, Two Gas cylinders, Two Ceiling fans, one, one Iron Stone, one Carpet, one Z pad x 7 table, one Nokia handset, one Techno handset and other numerous exhibits reasonable suspected to be stolen.

Another feat achieved by the command is the arrest of a suspect Mohammed Dahiru Alias “Emeka Pastor who belong to the a notorious gang of armed robbery and kidnapping which also led to the arrest of other members of his gang, Abubakar Ahmed, Sani Garba, Sama’ila Abubakar, Abubakar Ibrahim

Nagoggo explained that exhibits recovered are during these raids are one mark rout pistol breech No. 2537 with two 2 Round of live ammunitions, two Toyota Corollas, one Honda vehicle and one Toyota Hilux Vehicle belonging to NDE office of Zamfara State was recovered

These hoodlums Nagoggo said have been terrorizing innocent people of Gusau and its environs with criminal activities ranging from armed robbery, Houses and shops breaking, snatching of vehicles and Motorcycles on gun point.

Their recent atrocity according to the police was at the house of coordinator National Directorate of Employment NDE Zamfara State where they went to his house, robbed him, and made away with his official Toyota Hillux Vehicle at gun point, and later took the vehicle to Niger Republic for sale.

All the suspects according to the CP confessed to their past and present crimes and further led the police investigation team to Suleja in Niger state as well as Niger Republic where three other stolen vehicles belonging to one Nura Garba Daura, of Federal University Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi state was recovered.

Nagoggo stressed that all the vehicles were stolen at gun points while women were raped in some of the robberies and subjected to all forms of humiliation adding that the searches in their houses led to recoveries of so many stolen items.

Aliyu Alhaji Riskuwa was also arrested in connection with a case of kidnapping of three persons where the sum of twenty million naira was demanded.

THE Chairman, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Ministerial Task Team on traffic-free flow in Abuja, Mr Ikharo Attah, has just been attacked by miscreants at Keke Napep park in Nyanya when his team went to raid illegal stores and shanties in the area.

Although, he escaped unhurt, his official vehicle was unlucky as its screen was affected, while the rear side window was also destroyed.

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has condemned the attack on him, the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, Chancellor of the Edo University, Iyahmo, Dr. Aderemi Makanjuola and other guests at the residence of former Governor of the State and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Speaking to journalists after the incident, the governor took exception to the resort to violence, noting that it was shameful for such an attack to take place at the residence of the National Chairman of the ruling party in the state and at the national level.

Describing the attack as unfortunate incident, he said,

“It is very unfortunate that we can’t feel safe in the house of our National Chairman. I am not sure that if I visit the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) that they will attack me the way they did in the house of the APC National Chairman.”

“It is unfortunate that things have degenerated to this extent. But we will continue to sue for peace. We cannot afford to lose the gains of the last three years. We will continue to pursue peace,” he added.

It’s somewhat a norm across the world for entertainers to flaunt their material possessions in the social media, for different reasons. And many celebrities in the Nigerian entertainment industry seem to understand the game perfectly.

But for actress, Halima Abubakar, who has also been in the movie industry for quite some time, she said people often look down on her and tend to underrate how well she has done for herself because she doesn’t flaunt her wealth.

In an interview with Saturday Beats she said, “People do that a lot (look down on me), including my colleagues, because I’m humble and friendly. I get a bit hurt at times because I’m human and blood flows through my veins. But when things like that happen, I usually go mute and allow the person to be stupid.

“I consider those that troll me to be jobless. I think they need to take their lives more seriously. Nobody can take (away) my happiness. They did that 10 years ago and I ended up being sad for seven years for no reason. But I won’t be dragged into such nonsense drama again.

People like fake things – they like to see one living a fake life and sharing it online. But that’s not the kind of life I want to live. I just want to be free. I wouldn’t go out of my way to be fake in order for people to like me.”

Speaking further on life in the industry, the Kogi State-born thespian pointed out that there was too much fake smiles in the industry.

“I don’t know who my friends in the industry are anymore; they all have pretentious smiles even though it’s not peculiar to the movie industry. Everywhere, one would see people with fake smiles and I’m not interested in that,” she said.

She added, “I can call Eucharia Anunobi a big sister because she advises me. Also, I have people who love me and can fight for me, even when I’m not there. Calling someone a friend entails a lot. I take my family members as my friends.

“On Instagram, I congratulate my colleagues, even if they are not my friends. I like to hear good news and see good things. I’m a lovely person but I don’t understand the ‘beef’ (some people have with me). Uche Elendu and Uche Ogbodo are my friends and colleagues.”


The actress also said she could never be interested in friendship with people who feel too big to apologise when they offend others, adding that she’s wont to avoid people who would not tell her the truth because, according to her, such persons are not real friends.

Halima, who is a graduate of Bayero University, Kano, argued that it isn’t proper for celebrities to fight or say whatever they like on social media.

She added, “I don’t go on social media to say irrelevant things or fight anyone. It’s just unfortunate that a lot of people misunderstand me. But on the flip side, if everybody is praising me, I might not see the faults in anything. However, I know what is good and what is bad and I appreciate people being truthful.”
