Lanre Gentry, 'estranged' husband of actress Mercy Aigbe is alleging that she is back to his house, two years after their marital crisis and alleged battering got to public space.

Recall that source exclusively broke the news of Mercy and Lanre Gentry's separation on grounds of domestic violence after 7 years of marriage.

Speaking to Sunday Scoop, the hotelier said they've settled their issues outside the court and have also moved past it.

“We are not in court and we don’t have any issues (again). She is my wife and the court case is over. She is back to my house.”

On lessons learnt from the marital crisis, Lanre Gentry said;

“There is no special lesson to be learnt anywhere. Women are usually misled by their friends. When a woman is in the midst of her friends, many things happen. However, when they realise that they have done something wrong, then they are good to go. We give thanks to God.”

However reacting to the claims made in the interview, Mercy Aigbe accused her estranged husband of seeking attention.

She reportedly said "What is wrong with Baba Juwon? And why are people still calling him to ask unnecessary questions? He just wants publicity. I stay in my own house.”

A close associate of the actress also alleged that Lanre Gentry is yet to move on, and still introduces himself as Mercy Aigbe’s husband.

“Mercy is not in the country at the moment; she travelled out to get goods for her stores. He (Gentry) knows that the media is not talking about him again, so he just wants to ‘trend’. Meanwhile, Mercy has moved on; he is the one that is stagnant. I think he is suffering from inferiority complex. At times, when he goes out, he introduces himself as Mercy Aigbe’s husband" he said.

Osun State born Nigerian hip pop singer David Adedeji Adeleke aka DAVIDO has been dragged before Igbosere Magistrate Court 2 Lagos State over an alleged fraud of N4, 000,000.00 (Four Million Naira).

The matter which came up for mentioning on the 23rd of May, 2019 as No 16 on the case list at Magistrate Court 2 Igbosere. Listed as Defendants in the suit marked MCL/702/19 are: David Adedeji Adeleke (Davido) – his Personal Assistant: Busari Idris Temitiope (Alias Aloma) and; Davido Music Worldwide Limited music label.

When the matter was called, none of the Defendants, including Davido was in Court, neither were they represented by their lawyers. Counsel to the Claimant Alabh George Turnah, (MON) informed the Court that the Defendants according to the bailiff of the Court, refused to accept service of the originating processes and pleaded the Court for an order for substituted service, which the Court granted.

Investigation revealed that Davido and his Personal Assistant are been sued for fraudulently obtaining the sum of N4, 000,000.00 only from an American based Nigerian born upcoming artist Andre- Tejiri Ochuko Ibhihwiori In the label of Always on Cash Records. Court papers revealed that Davido and his management collected the money as fee to feature in a musical collabo with artist Tjay sometime in January, 2019 but have since then failed to either make himself available for the music collabo or refund the money.

It is not clear how Davido and his handlers will deal with this matter, whether to go into full litigation or seek out of Court settlement with the Claimant who is already asking for 15% interest on the principal sum of N4,000,000.00 from the date of payment to any date that the sum is finally liquidated. This may turn out another Innoson and GTB episode should the talented singer and his team miss-handle the minor.

It is also suggested in certain quarters that this matter of fraud is capable of tainting the image of the singer and affect his credibility in the industry if not properly handled. Feelers from amongst industry players also suggests that Davido may be on his own in this matter as a number of his colleagues and associates who learnt of the Court case today and spoke to our correspondence on condition of anonymity expressed shock and sadness that Davido could engage in such petty fraud against an upcoming artist. Efforts to get to Davido and his management were unsuccessful as calls put through to their mobile phones rang out endlessly without been answered.

The case was however adjourned to the ”23rd of august 2019” for report of service and commencement of trial.

One day before the Fourth of July, a true Sister Act occurred for two sisters in New York. The pair gave birth in the same hospital and on the same day, which also happened to be their father’s birthday. Oh, their daughters were also delivered by the same doctor.

Shari and Simone Cumberbatch knew their girls would be close in age, but they never thought they’d be hours apart.

Both were originally projected to give birth mid-July, however Simone and her doctor planned a C-section for July 3. She selected the date because it’s her father’s birthday. What the family didn’t plan was for her sister Shari to go into labor on the same day.

Shari’s unexpected labor actually delayed Simone’s scheduled C-section as the two shared the same doctor.

According to Good Morning America, Shari’s daughter, Hailey, was born at 12:57 p.m. and Simone’s daughter, Liberty, was born a few hours later at 5:30 p.m. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“They’re like twins… they’ll be close,” Shari said in an interview with CBS New York.

The babies’ grandfather received two gifts to celebrate his 70th birthday. “I always used to say ‘what if, what if it happened,’ not knowing it would actually happen,” the newborns’ granddad, Elmo Cumberbatch, told CBS New York.

It’s probably safe to assume all future birthday parties will be planned out well in advance and will be held on the same day.

A 19-year-old Secondary School leaver, Ibrahim Ahmad, was on Thursday arrested by the Kano State Police Command, over the kidnap and drugging to death of a five-year-old Primary school pupil, identified as Ahmad Ado, popularly known as Sayyid.

The suspect, alongside his accomplices, Abdulmajid Mohammed and Musa Sunusi, both 18 years old, hurriedly buried the victim in an uncompleted building at Sheka area of the ancient City of Kano.

Briefing newsmen in Kano, shortly after Police operatives exhumed the victim’s body from a shallow grave, the State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said the police received a report that one Ahmad, Ado, five years old of Karkasara Quarters, Kano has been kidnapped by unknown persons at Ma’ahat Nursery and Primary School, Karkasara, Kano.

According to him, the kidnappers, subsequently contacted the family of their victim, demanding a ransom of N50 million before they will release the kidnapped boy.

Following the tip off, the Police boss, said a team of Operation Puff Adder detectives from Anti-Kidnapping Squad, promptly swung into action, using technical intelligence and arrested the principal suspects, one Ibrahim Ahmad, aged 19 , of Darmanawa quarters, Kano.

On interrogation, according to the Iliyasu, two of his accomplice, Abdulmajid Mohammed and Musa Sunusi, both 18 years old of Sheka quarters, Kunmbotso Local Government Area of Kano State, were instantly nabbed.

During interrogation, according the Police boss, the suspected confessed to have over drugged the victim after kidnapping him, which subsequently led to his death at Sheka Sabuwa Abuja Quarters, Kumbotso Local Government Area.

”The suspects went ahead and buried the boy in a shallow grave at an uncompleted building. The scene was visited by the Commissioner of Police, including a team of Forensic experts.”

Meanwhile, the CP, said, investigation has commenced, adding that on completion the suspects will be charged to court for prosecution.

In an interview, the prime suspect, Ibrahim Ahmad, admitted to committing the crime, adding that he was a first offender.

Three people including a pregnant woman, have been killed by flood that swept through some parts of Zinariya community in Jos, Plateau State.

According to reports, the flood, which resulted from days of downpour, also brought down nine houses. “The incident resulted from narrow waterways; the victims were asleep when the rain started, but with the water soaking up the foundations of their buildings, the structures collapsed on them,” Sani Bello, a relation of the victims said.

He also said the water washed the bodies of the three deceased away.

“My pregnant elder sister, who was on a visit from Naraguta, a nearby community, was among the people washed away by the flood. We have found her body and buried it. There is also a lady with a broken leg who has been taken to the hospital. Another victim, one Ibrahim, who is seven years old, also sustained injuries and has been taken to the hospital,” he said.
