Sports / VAR To Be Used In The Premier League Next Season! by Gisthoodng(m): 6:20pm On Nov 15, 2018
The English Premier League have confimed Video assistant referees (VAR) will be used from the start of next season.

The decision was made after a vote by all the 20 Premier League clubs and now the VAR will be used in all the league matches.

VAR was used at the 2018 World Cup In Russia and it is now being used in the Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and French Ligue 1.

VAR will also be used in the Champions League from next season.

Back in April, Premier League clubs voted against implementing the VAR after referees struggled with the technology in FA Cup matches.

However, A statement from the Premier League official website read: "Premier League clubs have agreed in principle to introduce Video Assistant Referees (VAR) to the competition in the 2019/20 season.

"At a Shareholders’ Meeting today, clubs were provided withan update on the non-live VAR trials being undertaken by the League and Professional Game Match Officials (PGMOL) this season.

"Key learnings from VAR's use in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup,and other leagues across the world, were discussed in detail.

"The Premier League’s non-live testing programme will remain in place for the rest of this season, with a continued emphasis on those Saturday afternoons which have several matches being played concurrently, and developing a clear protocol for communicating VAR decisions to fans.

"The League will now formally make a request to the International Football Association Board and FIFA to use VAR next season."

It was also confimed that next season's summer transfer window will close before the season begins, as it was introduced this year.

Sports / Diego Maradona: "Jose Mourinho Best Football Manager In The World" by Gisthoodng(m): 7:00pm On Nov 14, 2018
Argentina Legend Diego Maradona has claimed that Manchester United Coach Jose Mourinho is the best football manager in the world.

Mourinho and his team have not been impressive this season and are out of a place for the Champions League next season.

The Red Devils are currently eight on the Premier League table after conceding 21 goals in their first 12 matches.

However, Maradona has insisted Jose Mourinho is the best in football management.

“For me yes, Mou is the best.

“I would give Pep the merit of taking advantage of the launch that Johan Cruyff gave him.

“I have said on more than one occasion that tiki-taka was not invented by Guardiola. It was ‘Flaco’ Cruyff.

“At the moment Pep is able to choose any player in the world that he wants. That way tiki-taka is easier,” Maradona told Marca.

Sports / BREAKING! Fulham Sack Coach Slavisa Jokanovic, Appoint Claudio Ranieri by Gisthoodng(m): 12:07pm On Nov 14, 2018
Fulham have sacked manager Slavisa Jokanovic and appointed former Leicester and Chelsea Coach Claudio Ranieri as his replacement.

Owner Shahid Khan moved after the Cottagers’ dreadful start to the season.

Fulham are currently rock bottom of the Premier League after just one win in their first 12 matches.

Ranieri, who left Leicester in 2017 returns to England after a spell in the French Ligue1 with Nantes.

Fulham owner Khan thanked Jokanovic - who guided Fulham to promotion via the Championship play-offs last season - for his service to the club.

He said: “I wasn’t anticipating having to make this announcement related to Slavisa and wish the circumstances were such that I didn’t have to, but our path this season has led me to make what I know is the correct decision, at the right time, for our players, the Club and our supporters,”

“Slavisa will always have my appreciation and respect for everything he did to return Fulham to top-flight football.

“I am hoping everyone in the Fulham Family shares my heartfelt sentiments for Slavisa and joins me in wishing him success and good fortune, wherever his next stop may be.”

Speaking to the club’s official website, Ranieri said: “It is an honour to accept Mr. Khan’s invitation and opportunity to lead Fulham, a fantastic club with tradition and history.

“The objective at Fulham should never be to merely survive in the Premier League. We must at all times be a difficult opponent and should expect to succeed.

“This Fulham squad has exceptional talent that is contrary to its position in the table. I know this team is very capable of better performances, which we will work on straight away as we prepare for Southampton at the Cottage.”

Khan added: “Making a change without having the right answer or succession plan was not an option, so having someone of Claudio’s calibre ready to accept our challenge was comforting but, most of all, essential.

“Claudio is risk-free and ready-made for the Premier League, and particularly so for what we need at this moment at Fulham.

“His recent body of work with Leicester City is literally legendary, and then you look at Claudio’s experience with Chelsea and big clubs throughout Europe, and it’s pretty evident we are welcoming an extraordinary football man to Fulham Football Club.”

Sports / "Coming Home? Best Feeling Ever" - Man Utd Star Paul Pogba by Gisthoodng(m): 7:56am On Nov 14, 2018
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has opened up on his return to the club from Juventus.

Pogba moved back to Old Trafford in 2016 for £89m, though has struggled to impress consistently.

The Frenchman had left United for Turin when he was 19 in 2012.

He won four Serie A titles with Juventus and also won two Copa Italian trophies.

Pogba's return to Manchester United was highly anticipated and he has helped the club to win the Europa League and FA Cup in the past two years.

There had been speculations over Paul Pogba's future at Old Trafford amid his poor relationship with Coach Jose Mourinho.

But Pogba has admitted that coming back to Old Trafford was a dream come true.

“When I came back to United, it was the best feeling ever,” he told Inside United, the club’s magazine.

“I came back home. I always dreamed of playing for United, to have many games and score goals.

“Nothing had really changed, except for maybe the team and the manager, but the rest of the club was the same.

“I just came back home, it was like I didn't really leave – I just went on holiday! [laughs]. It was a great feeling to come back home.

“It was great to come back, to feel the airof Manchester. That has never changed.”

Pogba is currently injured and pulled out of the France squad for the international break.

Sports / "Barcelona Champions League Favorites Because Of Lionel Messi" -Gianluigi Buffon by Gisthoodng(m): 12:53pm On Nov 04, 2018
Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon believes Barcelona are Champions League favorites because they have the 'best player in the world' Lionel Messi.

Buffon who left Juventus last summer is also competing in the Champions League with new club PSG.

But Serie A legend Buffon thinks Messi's influence makes Barcelona the favorites for the trophy.

Discussing PSG’s Champions League campaign so far, he said: “I watched the first three games of PSG on TV from the dressing room, not from the stadium.

“I suffer too much. The Napoli game will be tough, Ancelotti has improved Napoli, they have certainties that they didn't know they had.

"After the Real Madrid game [last season] I was very angry.

“I didn't know what to say, the young Buffon emerged.

"Champions League favourites? You have to say Barcelona because they have the best player in the world.

“Then Juventus who signed the other player who is considered the best.

“My Future? I want to play until I am competitive.

“I was lucky to receive offers from many big clubs and I want to continue.

“I have time to give up."

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have both won the Champions League.

Ronaldo won it once at Manchester United and also won the trophy four times at Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi has won the Champions League four times with Barcelona in 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015.

Sports / "Why I Left Real Madrid" - Juventus Star Cristiano Ronaldo by Gisthoodng(m): 6:50pm On Oct 29, 2018
Juventus Star Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed why he left Real Madrid in the summer.

Ronaldo completed a £100m move to the Serie A, ending his nine year reign at the Bernabeu.

However, The Portuguese has said a break down in his relationship with club president Florentino Perez lead to his exit.

He also cited how he was treated by Perez as the key reason for his decision to leave the club.

"He only ever looked at me as a business relationship," Ronaldo to France Football Magazine.

"I know it. What he told me never came from the heart.

"I felt it inside the club, especially from the president, that they no longer considered me the same way that they did in the start.

"In the first four or five years there, I had the feeling of being 'Cristiano Ronaldo'. Less afterwards.

"The president looked at me through eyes that didn't want to say the same thing, as if I was no longer indispensable to them, if you know what I mean.

"That's what made me think about leaving. Sometimes I'd look at the news, where they were saying I was asking to leave. There was a bit of that, but the truth is that I always had the impression that the president would not hold me back."

However, Ronaldo added that money did not motivate his move to the Serie A.

'If it had all been about money, I'd have moved to China, where I would have earned five times as much than here [at Juventus] or at Real,' Ronaldo said.

"I did not come to Juve for the money. I earned the same in Madrid, if not more.

"The difference is that, at Juve, they reallywanted me. They told me that and made it clear. They showed me that."

Ronaldo has scored seven goals in 12 appearances for Juventus so far this season.

Juventus are now first on the Serie A table with 28 points from 10 matches, far ahead of second placed Napoli.

It has not been confirmed whether the owner was in the helicopter however the BBC claim a source has told them he was.

And Sky Sports claim several are feared dead after the helicopter got out of control before crashing into the ground and bursting into flames in the club's car park.

“As soon as I heard I knew it didn’t sound good.

“When you think of all the things this family has done for this club and the city,it’s just awful news.

“We still don’t know exactly what has happened because nothing’s been confirmed yet, but it’s clearly very, very sad.”

Tim Acott, Leicester season ticket holder of 40 years, said: "It just came out of the stadium already spinning then down to the ground.

"Just in a spiral. It hit the ground with a big bang then burst into flames. It's over on the other side of the car park, I don't think there were people there. I'm shaking like anything."

Sports / "The One Mistake Ronaldo Made In His Career" - Carlo Ancelotti by Gisthoodng(m): 6:58pm On Oct 23, 2018
Napoli Coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed the one mistake Ronaldo has made in his football career.

Cristiano Ronaldo returns to face former club Manchester United tonight with club Juventus.

Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti managed Ronaldo at Real Madrid where together they won the Champions League, Copa del Rey, Super Cup and Club World Cup.

The Italian is now Coach at Napoli, who are demanded to win the Italian Serie A.

However, Ancelotti has revealed one mistake Ronaldo made his football career.

“The only failure of Cristiano has been signing for Juventus,” he joked.

"The arrival of Cristiano is an excellent sign for the image of Serie A,” Ancelotti told France Football.

“For a long time it was the championship of the stars: Maradona, Platini, Zico, Zidane, Ronaldo, Shevchenko, Kaka, Ibra… but in the last ten years."

Napoli are currently just four points behind Juventus in the Serie A table.

Massimiliano Allegri's team failed to win over the weekend and drew 1-1 against Genoa.

Juventus have already beaten title rivals Napoli 3-1 back at the end of September.

"Now it's a different club, we do not have [Diego] Maradona,” Ancelotti added.

“We have a high level team that was built mainly with young players, the team has played well in recent years, the quality is there, I will try to contribute experience and help the team to have more personality.”
