All things being equal, singer 9ice will marry for the 3rd time on the 30th of December, 2019, although his family is strongly against it.

The singer’s second marriage was through Skype in August, 2018, when he tied the knot with a U.S-based engineer, Adetola Anifalaje, and the union is blessed with a girl.

Now he is set for his 3rd marriage and it’s to his 3rd baby mama, Sunkami Ajala, who he has a daughter with.

His parents are, however, distancing themselves from this one because they were actively involved in the first two marriages which have crashed. .

It was also gathered that the singer is yet to see the child he welcomed with his second wife since her arrival in December, 2018.

9ice’s first marriage was to Toni Payne in 2008 and they had a child together. After it collapsed, he got into a relationship with Vickie Godis who bore him a set of twins who have since stopped bearing his surname due to his absence from their lives.

Then he moved on to Sunkanmi who bore him a girl in 2014, after which their relationship went sour. He then proceeded to marry Adetola in 2018 and now heading back to marry Sunkanmi.

A Nigerian pastor identified as Stanley Omoregie and 23 other suspected members of a sex trafficking ring accused of forcing Nigerian women into prostitution will go on trial today in Lyon, France in the latest case to highlight the growing use of Nigerian migrants as sex slaves in Europe.

The arrest of the suspects was triggered by an investigation by police in Lyon, where an estimate showed that half the city’s sex workers are Nigerian. Police authorities received a tip about the Nigerian pastor accused of exploiting several sex workers who lived in apartments he owned.

Omoregie denied the charge, which include aggravated pimping and slavery. But in the transcript of a conversation submitted to the court, he is heard saying he wanted “those with beautiful bodies, who can be controlled, not those that cause problems.”

The prosecution has presented him as the kingpin of a family-based syndicate made up of 10 women and 14 men, including one of Europe’s most wanted women, Jessica Edosomwan, accused of recruiting destitute women in Nigeria for the sex trade in Lyon, Nimes and Montpellier.

Edosomwan, who is believed to be on the run in the Benelux countries, Italy or Germany, will be tried in absentia. Among the accused is a 28-year-old former prostitute who was herself released from sex slavery after paying off her debts and who in turn brought over another young woman from Nigeria.

Months of police wiretaps and surveillance led to the arrest of the suspects between September 2017 and January 2018. They risk 10 years in jail if convicted. The UN has estimated that 80 percent of young Nigerian women arriving in Italy their first port of call in Europe are already in the clutches of prostitution networks, or quickly fall under their control.

The accused in Lyon cover the entire gamut of sex trafficking activities, from iron-fisted “madams” and violent pimps as well as drivers of the vans in which the women perform sexual acts, and those tasked with laundering the proceeds of the trafficking. Prosecutors estimate that 17 alleged victims, aged 17 to 38, made up to 150,000 euros ($166,000) a month for the syndicate, selling sex for as little as 10 euros.

Most of the women come from Benin City, capital of Edo State, a human trafficking hotbed with a long history of dispatching women and men to Europe to earn money to send back home. Many told investigators they had taken part in “juju” or black magic rituals before leaving Nigeria, during which they promised to repay the money they owed for their passage to Europe. Many of the women took the perilous migrant trail across the Sahara Desert to Libya and then across the Mediterranean to Italy before winding up in Lyon.

A Dutch athlete, Madiea Ghafoor, who represented Netherlands in the 4 x 400 relay race in Rio 2016 Olympics has been arrested and jailed after she was caught during a routine border check with 50kg of ecstasy tablets, 2kg of crystal meth and 11,950 euros in cash in the boot of her car.

According to Kleve District Court who sentenced her to 8 years imprisonment on Monday, she said didn't know she was carrying Meth and Ecstasy, believing them to be doping drugs and she refused to say how she got the drugs and who gave them to her.

She denied the charges leveled against her and has instructed her lawyers to appeal the judgement.

The Dutch Athletics Union said in a statement on their official website: ‘We are stunned by the judgments of Ghafoor during the trial and immediately reported to the Doping Authority.

‘The case has been transferred to the Doping Authority to investigate the extent to which the doping legislation has been violated and to investigate the other judgments of the lawyer.

‘With the ruling of the German court, the Athletics Union has obtained clarity regarding the question of guilt and rejects the actions of Ghafoor.

‘The Athletics Union condemns any use or trade in doping or drugs and fully commits itself to the Dutch Doping Law.

‘We regret the situation that has arisen for Madiea Ghafoor and her family.’

A Lagos-based laundryman, Blessing Demian, has demanded justice after he was allegedly shot in the leg by a policeman in the Oke-Afa, Isolo area of the state.

PUNCH Metro gathered that Demian was coming back from work on September 14 around 9.45pm when he was allegedly shot in his right leg by a policeman, Kenneth Kadire, of the Ejigbo Police Station, for allegedly marrying a woman, whom his colleague once had an affair with.

It was gathered that the woman, who allegedly had an affair with one of Kadire’s colleagues, left the officer to marry Demian, a decision that did not go down well with the cop.

Demian told our correspondent that the cop shot him in the leg for refusing to refund the money that his colleague allegedly spent on the woman, adding that Kadire vowed to kill him.

He said, “I was coming back from work in Ago and going to Ejigbo on a scooter, which I use to collect clothes and deliver them when I was stopped by one of the policemen at a checkpoint by the Petrocam filling station at the turning leading to the Oke-Afa mass burial ground.

“I asked why he stopped me and he said I was mad and before I could say any other thing, he started beating me, and when my wife, who was on the bike, asked what happened, he started beating her as well.

“Before I knew what was happening, he had pushed me into the police van and said I was an armed robber and shot at my leg and said that he would kill my wife and I and throw our bodies away.

“He said I ought to know that I should have returned the money that his colleague spent on my wife when they were dating and that if we did not pay the money, we would pay with our lives.

“When he fired the shot at me, some of the bullets hit a truck driver whom the policemen were trying to extort and one agbero, and before we knew what was happening, the policemen had disappeared.”

The 30-year-old, who noted that the Divisional Police Officer of the Ejigbo Police Station, where he reported the case, was furious with Kadire, added that although the station initially paid his medical bills, he was later abandoned.

He added that he had not been able to go to work since the incident and insisted on getting justice.

When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana would be punished for his professional misconduct.

He said, “The victim was taken care of by the DPO, but he is now demanding an outrageous amount of money from the force and the force cannot be held responsible for the action of the cop.

“It is a personal thing between him and the policeman; the force has no business with what happened between them; the policeman is an adult responsible for his action and the NPF cannot be held liable, because he did not act in his capacity as a policeman posted to work in a location, but pursued his personal agenda.



“Investigations showed that they both had personal grudges and the policeman is responsible for his action, but on our part, we have commenced the orderly room trial of the policeman, because he cannot hide under the cover of the NPF to misbehave.

“So, definitely, he will be punished for his professional misconduct and he will be handed over to the conventional court for him and the victim to continue with their matter.”
