Singer, Seyi Shay, has been in the news for her new collaboration with American artiste, Teyana Taylor. Shay noted that she featured Taylor in Gimme Love Remix, because of her personality and style of music.

Speaking in a chat with Sunday Scoop, Seyi Shay said, “I like her style, music and personality. I saw her perform last year in Atlanta, US, and I asked my managers to get her for me. They contacted her and she obliged. It was pretty easy. She is very pleasant to work with.

“My team In LA refined the second verse of the song for her and she recorded it beautifully. We did not have much time to shoot the video, so it happened pretty quickly in New York soon after.”

Seyi Shay, who loves to flaunt her sex appeal, added that a sexy woman was a damsel who was intelligent and aware of who she was. She stated, “My definition of a sexy woman is one who is intelligent, knowledgeable of who she is and a self-made boss.”

On whether the Nigerian government was doing enough for entertainers, the singer said, “Not really. More can be done for sure.”

Sharing her view on how women were being portrayed in entertainment, she said, “I think women portray themselves, however, they want to be portrayed.”

Dammy Krane will on Monday September 16th, be arraigned before the Igbosere High Court in Lagos by the Lagos state police command.

Punch reports that DammyKrane will be arraigned on a three-count charge bothering on threat to life, defamation and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.

According to a petition filed at the command's headquarters, the singer was accused of threatening the lives of staff members of betting company Merrybet Gold Limited on July 25th 2019 and also released a song in which he accused the firm of breach of contract. The act is said to be in contravention of sections 301, 412 and 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.

He was also accused of conspiring with others at large of conducting himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace and threat to life in contravention of Section 412 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015. Dammy Krane was also said to have threatened public peace when he posted an audio and video message on radio in contravention of Section 168(d) of the state’s criminal law.

The charges read in part,

“That you, Johnson Hunga Oyindamola and others at large on the 29th day of July, 2019 at Cool FM in the Lagos magisterial district did conspire amongst yourselves to commit felony to wit: conduct likely to cause breach of peace and threat to life and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 412 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

Another charge reads

“That you, Johnson Hunga Oyindamola and others at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district did threaten the life of the staff of Merrybet Gold Limited and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 301 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”

Section 301 of the state’s criminal law states that any person who, with intent to extort or gain anything from any person; accuses or threatens to accuse any person of committing any felony or misdemeanour, or of offering or making any solicitation or threat to any person as an inducement to commit or permit the commission of any felony or misdemeanour is guilty of a felony, and liable to imprisonment for three years.

It was learnt that the musician got into trouble after Merrybet Gold Limited wrote a petition to the police accusing the musician of threats and cyberbullying.

In a petition titled, ‘Petition against Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel aka Dammy Krane for false and libellous statement against Merrybet Gold Limited and signed by its lawyer, Nwabueze Anachebe, the betting firm said the musician perpetrated cyberbullying and criminal defamation.

The musician was said to have attended a game show sponsored by the betting company but lost.

However, Dammy Krane was said to have demanded some money for appearing on the show but the firm disagreed, insisting that the sum is only given to winners.

The embittered musician subsequently went on the radio where he accused the betting firm of owing him money and breaching a contractual agreement.

Burglars have stolen a solid 18-carat gold toilet, worth £5 million from Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England.

The operation took place in the early hours of Saturday, September 14.

The toilet titled 'America' which was created in 2016 by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan only went on display two days ago during an exhibition.

Thames Valley Police have confirmed the toilet was stolen and a 66-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the theft and remains in police custody.

Dominic Hare, chief executive officer of Blenheim Palace, told the BBC the toilet is valued at about six million dollars and was a 'very precious piece'.

He said the theft of the solid gold toilet 'was a huge shock'.

'Staff were instantly aware of what happened and police arrived very, very quickly indeed,' he added.

When asked if the artist had been contacted, he said: 'There were some slightly nervous calls at 6am but we have spoken to the artist and Lord Edward at the art foundation, and many of the trustees, and they have been magnificent in their support.'

Mr Hare added: 'We have a sophisticated security set-up here and we have had no loss of this kind in living memory, which probably reflects the quality of that operation.

'The events of the last 24 hours mean we may have reason to reconsider some of our systems.'

He was also asked whether a party, which took place at the palace on Friday night, could have created an opportunity for the theft.

In response, he said: 'We have been asked not to comment on the investigation. But there was a clear time separation between those things.

'There is always a risk when you display valuable art to the public, but it is worth that risk, even now, it was still worth that risk.'

Confirming that the palace would reopen on Sunday following repair works, Mr Hare explained: 'We've now got a huge hole where there was once a golden toilet.'

Detective Inspector Jess Milne said: 'The piece of art that has been stolen is a high value toilet made out of gold that was on display at the palace.'

Inspector Richard Nicholls added: 'We are aware they left about 4.50am this morning. CCTV is one of the aspects we are looking on and that will come out in due course.

When asked if he believed a reception party held on the same night of the exhibition's launch could be connected, Insp Nicholls said: 'I am not aware of the reception party personally, but that would form part of our enquiries in order to ascertain events leading up to the item being stolen.'

Thames Valley Police also disclosed that the offenders broke into the palace overnight and left the scene at about 4.50am.

Detective Inspector Jess Milne said: 'Due to the toilet being plumbed in to the building, this has caused significant damage and flooding.'

Detective Inspector Milne added: 'We believe a group offenders used at least two vehicles during the offence.

'The artwork has not been recovered at this time but we are conducting a thorough investigation to find it and bring those responsible to justice.

She continued: 'Residents will see an increased police presence in the area while officers and staff carry out enquiries.'

'I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area to contact police.

'You can call us on 101, quoting URN 273 (14/9), visit our website or visit a police station.'

Mike Nominated Omashola and Tacha, Ike Nominated Diane and Khafi, and Elozonam put up Frodd and Tacha for Eviction.

Finally, Diane nominated Omashola and Mike while Cindy nominated Diane and Ike for Eviction.

At the end of nominations, Khafi, Mike, Tacha and Omashola were put up for possible eviction. However, Omashola used his veto power to replace himself with Seyi.

Nominated housemates consist of two former heads of House, Seyi and Khafi. Also, Mike and Tacha have polled impressive votes when previously nominated.

There was pandemonium in Bakin Ruwa area of the Nnamdi Azikwe expressway, bypass of Kaduna State capital on Tuesday, as Police and members of the Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky led Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) clashed.

The IMN group of the Shi’ite Islamic sect were gathering to proceed on Ashura Day procession when the incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday.

The Nation gathered that Shi’ites had planned to come out as early as 6:00 am to beat the security agents to the plan to stop them from the procession.

However, the police who relied on intelligence report quickly moved to the scene and dispersed the gathering of IMN members.

The Shi’ites, however, claimed that three of their members were killed in the process.

One of the IMN leaders, Alliyu Umar who spoke to The Nation said, the police attacked them while observing their religious right of Ashura mourning.

According to him, “What happened to us this morning was not a clash. It was an attack on armless members of IMN. We were observing an event in Islamic calendar which is called Ashura mourning as a procession.

“We were on our way to observe this procession. We were doing it peacefully as we were doing it before when Policemen attacked us, shooting live bullets at us where they killed three people and wounded so many others. I’m yet to confirm the number of those that are wounded.” Umar said.

Meanwhile, Kaduna State Police Command said, the allegation of killing was false and mischievous.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Yakubu Sabo stated categorically that, the protesters were dispersed professionally, and that no one was killed.

Professor Gideon Okedayo, a senior lecturer at the Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), abducted by gunmen about a week ago has been found dead.

Okedayo was kidnapped on Igara road in Akoko Edo area of Edo State while traveling to his hometown on Thursday. A source at the University confirmed to SaharaReporters that the dead body of the lecturer was found inside a bush.

"It is sad. They have killed Prof. Okedayo. We learnt about his gruesome killing yesterday (Monday) night. We were called from the police station that they have found his dead body.

And they confirmed to us that he must have been murdered by his abductors. This is just a sad moment for all of us at the university," the source said.
