SuperS1Panther: this fouta jallon descendant and pikin of marauding killer herdmens that speaks fulfude and his paranoid obsession over the fear of Osinbanjo becoming President is gradually turning to a classical example of insanity.
Nigeria is not a country of Fulanis. We all own this country and you CANNOT dictate to anybody apart from your HAUSA slaves. It's typical of children to insult people online. So I will ignore that. I'm quite sure the elders of Yoruba land are reasoning along the right path. What we are actually doing is to remind them the need to hasten their efforts before things go wrong. I've given cogent reasons why Osibanjo should step aside but you refused to consider those reasons. If you truly love this country, you would not support his ascendancy. Nobody will choose violence over peace. We are for peace. All we are saying is that the North must not be shortchanged again. If osibanjo does the honourable thing, we Will continue to live as brothers and sisters. But if you think you can take advantage of Buhari's illness, then we will be quick to remind you that Abiola had been that stupid. |

Timbuktuo: Lol, dude. Shut the heck up. Tell your little silly stories to your brethren. You and I know Nigeria is on the brink and everybody is getting ready for whatever is going to happen. Shut up and put your own house in order. Should anything happen to Osinbajo, you will only have your region to yourselves. Everyone will take this golden opportunity to take their destinies into their own hands. I'll laugh at your foolishness when the time comes. Are the Southerners this silly or is it just you? My friend, social media is not battle field. I don't want to say much here or come down to your level of reasoning but just know that osibanjo's resignation is the wisest decision the West at this time. Ignore this and face the consequences. There is a limit to what the media noise can do for you |

Guestlander: What made you think Osinbajo will destroy the country? He is not even the substantial president yet and you have concluded that he would destroy the country. What is the basis for this rather bizarre conclusion or fear that Osinbajo would destroy the country? You do not need a prophet to know that osibanjo will perform poorly. He has no mind of his own. Take the most recent drama as a case study. Despite being a laywer, he used a private lawyer's mischievous remark as a reference point to undermine the role of the legislature. Such is not the leader we want except we are prepared to sink lower. |

Call me your compatriot.
I'm your friend. A true Nigerian who yearns for peace and progress of his country.
I'll be glad to share my opinion and that of those I represent, on the way out of the nation's present predicament.
It's natural for siblings to have misunderstanding at times. What makes all the difference is how they reconcile their differences.
Nigeria is like a human body. Each part needs the other. For this reason, the federal government should look beyond the agitation for Biafra to find out the reason for their agitation.
Set up a commit that will investigate their source of fund. If their sponsors can be traced and arrested, the boys will go and look for decent job to do. On her part, the government should do more towards engaging Nigerian youths with gainful employment. When they are busy, they won't have time for nonsense.
To achieve this, we need a visionary leader whose policies will be potent enough to suppress corruption and insurgency without fear or favour, and at the same time, promote economic growth
If Buhari is medically unfit to continue with the good work he started in 2015, the presidency should be fair to Nigerians by saying so. At such, since power rotation has turned North, the good people of this country will have no problem to get a credible replacement from the North while osibanjo continues as vice.
The constitution might have said something like a vice succeeding his boss if the later is incapacitated. But obviously, such political correctness, if followed, will only plunge the nation into deeper crises for several reasons.
1st, osibanjo is a political tenderfoot. Worse than his inexperience is his obvious lack of courage to lead the nation out the present quagmire. A man who cannot say boo to a goose will certainly have no answer to our present economic and political needs.
This is the time for Yoruba elders to demonstrate their statesmanship by guiding osibanjo in the direction of peace and fairness. |
Politics › Re: My Opinion On South West Consultative Forum Backing Arewa by givbitcoin: 3:00pm On Jul 06, 2017 |
Yoruba supporting Arewa youths shouldn't be your problem. Your major concern should be your ohanaeze not supporting your Biafra quest. Doesn't that bother you? Your governors are in for one Nigeria. There is not hope in your agitation. The sovereignty of this nation is not negotiable and those who think otherwise are few criminals who cannot thrive in a sane society.
If Yoruba had acted earlier, their approach would have been commendable because it would have complemented the noble step taken by Arewa youths to achieve an awesome result. But no! They will always do the right thing in a wrong way. Stupid people. Tell me the relevance of their support now when every reasonable human will see it as a way to nudge osibanjo into power, which will never happen |

Worry because the privileges you have been enjoying from the North will cease forthwith, on your insistence to have osibanjo as president of this country The North has been unfairly shortchanged. And how you, backstabbers manipulate the lives of our presidents must be investigated. From Abacha to Yar'adua and now, Buhari. We must find out. If this is a ploy to always smuggle power away from the North, I'll tell you frankly that it has failed this time. What can you boast. Really wars are not fought in the media. If osibanjo resigns in peace, you can be sure to retain your VP slot. Otherwise, you will miss out completely. |

[s] Markfemi2: In moments like this I expect Yoruba leadership to have reacted promptly Why are tinubu and akande suddenly quiet ? Are they not aware of what's going on ? What about sourh west Governors apart from Fayose who has been very vocal why are the rest acting like all is normal when all isn't. ? I saw a video of some niger delta militant with new weapons Do Yorubas have the same thing ? What about OPC? if tinubu can't speak now why did he enter such alliance ?
Let's drop BIAFRAN issues for a bit and focus on impending issues facing Yoruba nation ?
Why is yemi being caged ? Why are northerners not supporting yemi the way westerners supported Buhari ? What is our reaction ? If they want to 1) remove him with force Nigerias soul is in niger delta and south west We have the industries and ports Niger delta has been quick to realise this and are not messed with Why are Yorubas not realising if we shut down lagos Nigeria will bleed no food no commodity
If tinubu can't respond in moments like this or amosun maybe we should pass the Barton of leadership to Fayose and more courageous leaders
Also why have we not responded to arewa letter accusing of betraying them ?
Or are they doing something we don't know ?
Leadership inspires a people Tinubu and Bisi's silence isn't inspiring Yorubas [/s] This is the most senseless thread I've read on this forum. Wicked people. So you are supporting osibanjo presidency after all that was agreed upon. Let me tell you ingrates loud and clear, the North can never be shortchanged again, politically. If osibanjo won't respect the gentleman agreement and resign then he should be blamed for whatever goes wrong. Southern alliance won't change anything |

[s] Originakalokalo: 1. Nigerians want restructuring. 2. The status quo favours the North. Naturally, they won't want a change. They talk about restructuring with their lips 3. Going by all the agitations from all the corners in Nigeria, The North should allow "genuine" restructuring to take place. Else, this agitations will continue until their insincerity will be seen by all 4. Then, the south will unite. If this happens, that will be the end of Nigeria.
My advice, The North should allow " genuine restructuring to take place even though it will change their favourable status. Else, they will eventually loose all. [/s] |

[s] Youngadvocate: This is not meant to incite, but to spur our minds to articulate the thought that lie therein.
I was part of the viewing audience of the Kakaaki, The African Voice anchored by both Saliamatu Ibrahim and Adora Onyechere, on African Independent Television, AIT, yesterday, July 4.
Since the programme had a talking point drafted to address the quagmire the country is gradually sliding into, I showed interest.
I had relaxed to follow the discussion led by the two anchors and three invited discussants, two Elder-statesmen from the North and one Professor of Banking and Finance from Michael Okpara University. unfortunately the power was interrupted.
By the time the power was restored, the programme had neared conclusion.
At the time, Saliamatu threw a question to one of the Northern Elders and I quote"...some say the North is afraid of Restructuring. Why is the North afraid of Restructuring?
He answered "...north what!...how can we be afraid of restructuring when we have Boko Haram?"
I have ever since sought to give this proper interpretation, but the more I try, the deeper I was thrown into limbo as to reconciling the sensitivity of the speech. And my wonder has been, was it a slip of tongue? Or an expression of reality.
Even Saliamatu sort of wore a countenance that looked bemoaned by the comment and wanted to seek further clarification before she was signaled to round-off.
My intent is to bring this to fore. I know many tuned into the programme and did hear the comment. And those who didn't could make use of AIT 'a social media platforms to verify.
Am I the only one who was struck by that statement? Or am I being over sensitive with a mindset conditioned by the current political happenings?
Let us discuss this Nigerians!! [/s] Cooked up story. |

So Nigeria is fine as is, according to you?
Now I see why you hate the Yorubas so much.
They harp about restructuring - your nightmare.
What are you afraid of exactly? Point of correction, I don't hate Yoruba. As a matter of fact, I don't hate anybody. I only hate bad behaviour. If only Yoruba will adjust their way of life and stop rewarding evil for good, they can make a wonderful people. Restructuring is one evil they brought upon this country amongst others. They started with what they called sovereign national conference back then. Today, it has all grown to restructuring and they will not allow a day pass in peace. If Lagos is economically viable what about Oyo, Ebonyi etc? Only a wicked person will want to watch his neighbour starve when he has abundance. I'll tell you frankly that majority of these people screaming restructuring don't know what it entails. |
