kp3tech: Ahlaji you just contradict yourself
First you said we ought to be govern by the constitution, and if so, soon, now or later Osibanjo would be sworn in as president according to the constitution. If Nigeria Unite under him everyone would support him to rule till 2027
How do the Arewa plan to retain power? Keep Buhari in London till when?
Or force him to continue even tho he is sick?
Or what?
Or wait, force Osibanjo to resign?
or kill southerners in the northwest via riot?
make Nigeria ungovernable again?
Or use the military?
how would you you do it.
it's like the Yorubas have won again this time.
I stand to be corrected. I'll be glad to correct you because most of you are misinformed. First, Osibanjo has to respect the gentleman's agreement he had with NEF and resign peacefully. Beyond this, the constitution makes provision for rotation of presidency. Obasanjo was in power for 8yrs without any form if interruption whatsoever. The north should be allowed her full 8yrs |

This write up has loads of mischievous intent. You people can not keep dividing this country with media propaganda.
The Yorubas are very treacherous people and that leaves them more foolish than not. They cannot rebel further than they have already done especially now that good people of this country have their eyes on them because such action will be met with brutal resistance. |

kp3tech: My big question Ahlaji ... Does two wrongs make one right ?
The problem with the Fulani is they lack patient.... They actually believe they can intimidate every other tribe with Violence or War. which historically in the 16th century they were militaristic power, conquer the whole north... I respect that.
but in this 2017 Technology and Globalize era . Education is the best weapon.
For the records... The Yorubas has called the Fulani bluff, The SE and SS too, and the North Central too.. they are like saying to the Hausa Fulani do your worst.
Yoruba man is already the president (an acting President has the full authority of the president) ... and he his actually doing well... very well.
Now in ending. Nigeria should actually divide. I believe Arewa would be better off without the south. and they would easily dominate the minority and make it an Islamic State they by allowing the Quran to unify them. which is not possible in a united Nigeria
Let Osibanjo go and rule over his people Yorubas and let Muslim Fulani Rule over Arewa. Today, only the constitution can determine how we govern ourselves here. Please respect that. Osibanjo will be the greatest fool to think he can become president of Nigeria. That is madness. We are smarter now and we can see through your game. And for your information, his "acting" has massive limitations. I hope you won't want me to talk on this. I would like to know what you mean by the South calling our bluff. In what way? We said no to 30% oil derivation, were you able to change that? We said no to Biafra, were you able to change that? We said no to restructuring, were you able to change that? Yes, you get lesser derivation and again, monthly allocation for states but that is sheer generosity. We didn't bow to pressure to do any of that, so respect our benevolence. The world was not this generous. The victor used to take all the booty but I think it's fair to have a tweak. All we ask is respect |

[s] Terkimbi01: I am not speaking for the Middle Belt. I am too small and too insignificant to do that.
I am only here to relay our sentiments.
1. First and foremost, the Fulani must pull out of our lands. Even if they will return, it will be after negotiations and agreements on bow they will return.
They cannot invade our lands, destroy our way of life, destroy our crops,.maim and kill us, and on top of it, take over our lands.
2. Nigeria must pull out of Organisation of Islamic Countries.
While some Nigerians are Moslems, some of us are not. we have no intention of becoming for obvious reasons.
3. We are not part of the North. we did not negotiate with anybody to put us there. it was the British that defined our current status.
we are Middle Belt. we want to be addressed as such. Our governors will have Middle Belt Governors Forum where they shall discuss our affairs as it concerns.
After all,.the South are not lumped into one. South East, South west and south south all have distinct identities.
4. We are more comfortable with the peaceful south than with the violent North. so, if we want to seek alliance, we look towards south.
5. Abolish Qouta System especially when it comes to areas that demand intellectual capacities. Let those qualified do the work.
6. Allow us to govern ourselves. we wish to provide our security and approach eduction with sense of responsibility without interference from the centre.
7. Allow us to develop at our own pace. We are not afraid of resource control.
8. We are not begging for ONE Nigeria, after all,.what it has given us so far is tears and blood.
To all middle-belters here on Nairaland, feel free to correct me on any of the points.
Add your own points.
To all Nigerians here on Nairaland, feel free to correct me. I don't want any abuses. I believe what we all want is a peaceful and prosperous nation where the citizens are equal.
expressing my opinion is not a crime. [/s] I will not blame you. Not at all! I blame our elite for not doing enough to curtail the excesses of Yoruba people in orientation moulding. They had undue indulgence in the media and today everybody can see the terrible result. It was Yoruba who caused the incessant quest for restructuring. Now the flame is burning hot and they have scrawled back into their shell as usual. It was Yoruba who instigated violence in Lagos, the then capital, in 1964. That violence led to every bad thing happening in the country today, including the agitation for Biafra, in larger scale. Today, everybody has learnt to copy the wrong things without minding the consequences. But I will advise those infidels in the North to reconsider your position because your rebellion against the North will be met with absolute brutality. It can only be an infidel who will wake up in the morning and decide to change his name to middle belt |

chiefbidemi: The igbos are yearning for an independent nation which they called Biafra. In recent times, they have drawn a map to include the states in the South South region. However, most of the south south states have voiced out their antipathy for being part of the entity called Biafra. They do not want to be part of Biafra. However, if you ask people from the South South region, they do not like being part of Nigeria either. What's the soulution? The igbos should stop being selfish. You cannot force a people to be part of your agitation without making them take a front seat. The igbos should find out why the south south people do not want to be part of Biafra. Ask the people questions. They will find out 1 common thing across all south south states. Everyone hates the name "Biafra".
The only way the igbos can have an independent nation is to drop the name "Biafra" and accept to be called Niger Delta. The only way the igbos can achieve an independent nation is if the Niger Delta region joins them fully in their agitation. Do you know the Federal government are not shaken by igbos agitation? Do you know what will make the Federal government shake to its knees and have sleepless nights? When they wake up to see that the south south states are saying with one voice that they are no longer interested in the illegal union called Nigeria.
My advice therefore is that they drop the name Biafra and adopt Niger Delta as a name for the new country. It is more appealing to be called a Niger Deltan than to be called a Biafran. A Biafran sounds like a terrorist or a rogue. A Niger Deltan sounds much more respectable and would open more doors internationally for future citizens of that nation You Southerners should stop your rebellious attitude before it's too late. This is no longer funny.. A stitch in time, they say, saves nine. |

Kusugu Well & Legendary
Bayajida Sword: “Kusugu” is where a giant snake called “sarki” was killed with a sword by Bayajida in the 10th century AD because the snake only allowed Daura people then to draw water from the well once in a week.
This heroic act by Bayajida made Daurama -the reigning queen of the time- to marry Bayajida who came from the middle east.
The well and the sword are still intact and can be seen by tourists. Katsina city Walls “Ganuwar Amina”:
The wall in Katsina was built during the reign of Sarki Ali Murabus in the 15th century and seven gates associated with the wall are Kofar Yandaka, Kofar Guga, Kofar Kaura,Kofar Durbi, Kofar Sauri and Kofar Kwaya.
Old Katsina Teacher’s College: Built in 1922 with red-baked city mud and clay, this is the oldest teachers training college in the northern part of Nigeria and the college has produced prominent Nigerians like the late Prime Minister, Sir. Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and the Late Premier of Northern Nigeria Alhaji Sir, Ahmadu Bello as well as many others.

Nigeria is a like human body, If the hand attack the leg, its like attacking itself.
Buhari (with the North) plan was to oppress the Igbo "intentionally " because they felt threatened by them.... especially during 2015 election. not knowing attack on Igbo would affect everyone, attack on any major tribe would affect everyone.
Now they are planning to oppress the Yorubas.
the north better change their political strategy. If they harass the SW it would affect everyone including the north.
Just 2 years of attacking the igbo, Nigeria is crumbling, the whole world is watching, For the first time the North Central is rebelling against arewa, for the first time we had recession twice. Biafra secession for the first had gain national and international attention after the civil war...
Everybody needs each other!
Hopefully it is not late. The bolded is the only valid point in your post. Everybody needs each other, quite true. But do the ibos know this when they started their secession songs? We need each other but you cannot leave your role and play mine and expect peace. The Yoruba is eyeing the presidency today, is that fair? They want to take advantage of others' misfortune. That is the betrayal we are talking about. Watch the little man in Aso-Rock doing everything to be seen to have outshined his master. Wickedness! Saying that the North is oppressing the ibo intentionally sounds as treacherous as what a Yoruba person will say to deceive others. The North has no intention to oppress ibo. ibos are the ones oppressing themselves. |

PreyingMantis: It is a date with destiny. The destruction of the Fulani is imminent. You lots have become an excess baggage the rest of Nigeria has to do away with. The worst you can do to the North has already happened but will never repeat. We brought obansanjo, who was condemned to die, and gave him a new lease of life. Not only did we give him life, we gave him power in furtherance of our boundless benevolence to Yoruba people. What happened? When it was time to return power, he started aiming at third term - a decision that completely violets the will of the North. When we did not agree, he insistently foisted Yar'adua on us, a man he knew too well was not medically fit to carry on with the tedious task of adminstration. His plan came to pass giving way for that Otuoke man to plunder the economy of this country. Now, tinubu and his cohorts are converging like vultures around Aso-Rock, praying day and night for bad news that Osibanjo may take over. But that will never happen. Are you ignorant of the fact that the Southern part of Nigeria has been subsidizing the Northern part of Nigeria for more than a 100years. Yes! I said for more than a 100years! Imagine how you spit ignorance with so much pride! Go and do your research. Don't remain an ignorant person. And by the way, this time, if any northern group tries shit in Nigeria, it will be fed with it. Bring it on! I think you are just a child so let me squeeze out a few minutes and educate you. Not that it is necessary anyway but let me try. Forgive me if I'm blunt but I'll state the fact. When you say "South", I suppose you are referring to Southern Nigeria. Then I ask you whose Nigeria are we talking about? In 1884, this world was not so democratic. People conquered and dominated people and it was always arbitrary. Europe organized a conference they tagged Berlin conference in Portugal. The conference was based on their intended inversion in Africa. At the conference, a man called Henry Morton warned them that some parts of the place they call Africa already had colonial master but Otto von Bismarck waved it off, banking on their perceived military superiority. Henry Morton was referring to Fulani ruling what is today known as Nigeria. They came anyway. And their coming changed so many things, not for good. Before the white man came here, we had captured the land, purified the people and gave them Qur'an While the white man was here and after he left, it was the proceed from our groundnut that sustained Nigeria. Today, you people still feed because we farm. The useless Yoruba vagrants incited the riverline dwellers and deceived them into thinking that oil deposits in those areas belong to the so-called occupants of the land. But none of them understand the international police on land order. They don't know why massive offshore deposits are left for Nigeria. So I ask you again, whose Nigeria? |
