What's with these forty something year old ladies intimidating us youngsters ?? Please guys , remind me to look like this when i'm in my forties .

Okay , Here is my sweet J.lo looking hawt and fierce in Atelier Versace attending the FASHION ROCKS 2014 Event at Barclays Centre in Brooklyn last Tuesday. No matter what angle she stood on , the camera loved her. Now to the dress ..*aaham* ( clears throat)..

Honestly i can not fault this look , i don't care what anyone says , too much legs or not , it's a designers art work and i can not think of any one else who could have pulled it off the way J.lo did here. Ok, maybe the earrings were too much because i can imagine the noise and discomfort when they clash with the metal chokers of the dress,apart from that ,everything else from the hair ,shoes, make up and the clutch is Perfecto!

Oh did i mention, she's 46 She even rocked it better than the young model on the runway.

it almost looks like she's drowning in the long jacket slash kimono, her pose isn't doing her any good at all, as if the long stripes on the already long jacket is not enough , she had to stand straight as well. I like the wearer , i like the hair do, but this outfit isn't well put together ,sorry.

If you dont carry yourself with elegance, your kooks are marred. Julia Roberts is such an #Agelessbeauty in this dress, effortless, stunning . And to think all that is to this look is the dress, the shoes , easy hair and less makeup , No accessories needed. 46 is the new 26! Very beautiful. , I cant help myself , I can go on and on. Yea , but that was when they were much younger and didnt know anything about fashion,Right now fashion has evolved that is why i'm so pissed at Katie for embarrassing me us like this. Like i said she's gone back to her Hit or Miss , to call this a miss is like sugar coating it. I swear if i take a look at this picture one more time ,i'm going to my closet to set all my denim pieces on fire.

Verdict Please

Dressing up a skirt the rocker chic style. So here's a set i created for those of us who like our skirts , and want to style them up like a rock chic. the jacket and the shoes are all you need to infuse that into your work wear style , if you would like to accessorise this look , try pairing it with a studded tote and neck piece and some leather wrist band to finish the look.

My dear its not like we want to abandon you or the thread, but like @thatgurlvixen said - Somethings are better left unexplained , I've looked at this picture from head to toe , left to right ,in and out ,front and centre and have decided that i wont waste my saliva bandwith in dissecting this look. So Lets move on to the verdict shall we? and leave the ''riff raffs'' to their denim party. ROTFL.

''Riff Raff'' bruaaahahahha!!!! seriously i'm cracking up in front of my computer As for Katie perry , when she's back to her dress sense on another red carpet event then i can take a look at her outfit properly. Wonder why she didn't have a denim wig on her head.

Katy is back to her hit or miss, i 'm kind of confused here. As for the riff raff or whatever he calls himself , dont even know where to begin. Let me go and ponder on this look. brb

@zoelife Damn right about the ''high street style'' look by the model. But then again Tiwa is a celebrity, people look up to her for style inspiration.

I'm going to pretend that the Model's picture isn't here and go ahead and give my unbiased opinion on this look on Tiwa.

Something is definitely off alright and its the hair and the jewelry. Tiwa's hair makes this dress look drab , if only she just pulled it high up just a little bit more on both ears.

The earrings are nice but the heavy jewelry on the hands and wrists aged her 15 more years ( you know..... like a madam ). She's been married for what... 3 ,6 months and she's given up on fashion already.

If she wanted to go grecian which i think is the best way to style this hi-lo swing dress , then she should have gone with some tiny little jewelry here and there that don't need to make a loud statement.(like the picture of the hair jewelry piece i attached below).

Final thoughts ,dress is nice ,colour of the shoes are ok, but would have been better if they were stiletto sandals not pumps, make up is spot on, her smile , her pose, perfect.


Now for the look on the model , well , its styled age appropriate ,so i 'm sorry i have to give it to the Model. She wore it and styled it better , don't know about the shades though , but she gets my vote. ( Sorry Tiwa,you let me down this time)

Thanks for hitting the nail on the head , the outfit is really cute and pretty but would have been 100 % perfect if the pony tail curls were thrown to the back ,there are details on the top part of the dress ,the pony tail only takes away that focus point,other than that she looks pretty in this.

Actually i do like Genev's relaxed comfy look, as a celebrity your stilletoes need a break sometimes hence the flat shoes she has on. I have no clue what Ini Edo was trying to pull off here , Its about time someone schooled her on styling already,. the other lady on the right , not that bad but not great either . ,so i'll give it to Genny as the best dressed because i'm loving her voluminous hair with the high lights and the white tank top . She can always take off the cardigan to give her more younger chic look.
