Coming up today Sunday, December 25, 2022, this year's edition of Christmas In D City concert will take place at Transcorp Hilton Abuja.

Entertainers expected to perform include, Nedu Wazobia, Josh2Funny, Ghana Must Go, Mr. Paul, Kelvin SAPP and Koboko Master.

Others are Job Legend, Mazi Prospa, MC Ebenezer, MC Freshboi, MC Miti, Ola D, DJ Fancy, and surprise musical artist.

The event being hosted by Chuks D General is expected to be an evening of comedy, dance, music, family games show and lots more.

Meet Aisha Tisha Mohammed, Nollywood Screen Sensation, From Modeling To Movie Set

She needs no introduction. She is a screen sensation of sort as she has in a short while in Nigeria's movie industry, Nollywood rose to pinnacle through hard work and resilience.

She is Aisha Tisha Mohammed. Born in Nasarawa State, but bred in Benue State Nigeria, she is also a movie producer and director.

She is a polyglot and proficient in Tiv, Hausa and English Languages. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

She is a model and beauty queen who as far back as 2007, against the odds emerged the well-deserved "Face of Nasarawa", a step that provided her the opportunity represent her state in 2008 at the Miss Tourism Nigeria. There, she made it to the Top 10, capping a nice outing with the award of "Best swimsuit ".

That was not all. During her NYSC days emerged Miss NYSC Taraba in 2013, and later went on to contest in Miss Nigeria 2013, finishing Top 10.

That however became her last romance with beauty pageantry as she went back to the movie set, having featured in a soap opera in 2012 before taking a break to pursue her academics.

She had always had a burning passion for entertainment right from her tender age. While she grew, the desire blossomed. She participated actively in her school dance and drama activities. Despite several odds, her love for art of entertainment never dwindled.

Between 2012 till date, she has featured in a number of movies, including Let Karma, My name is Kadi, Colours of deceit, The Wedding, Believer, The Pendulum, The Rishantes 2, Almost Perfect, Personal Revenge, Bittersweet, A deadman’s souvenir, A place called regret and Sincerity

At her spare time, she enjoys reading and traveling. She has remained an epitome of consistency in the last nine years she has been in the industry.

She owns a lingerie brand called Tish Milli and currently working on a cervical cancer project

Gov. Soludo Commissions Dozie Nwankwo Centre for Development & ICT In Enugwu Ukwu

Anambra State governor, Prof. Charles Soludo on Wednesday commissioned the Dozie Nwankwo Centre for Development & ICT as well as the constituency office of Hon. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, member representing Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha Federal Constituency in Enugwu Ukwu, Njikoka Local government area.

The facility is said to be housing some enablers that will assist the state government's drive in empowering the youths in skills development, Information & Communications Technology and education which all have special places in the affairs of the government.

Speaking at the event, the governor thanked the federal lawmaker for completing the state-of-the-art facility which he said is one of a kind in the history of representation in the state.

He expressed the readiness of the state government to partner with him to further engage the youth population in the state towards acquiring skills that will take them off the labour market.

The the expressed optimism that as the candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Hon. Nwankwo will be elected next year to spread the tentacles of his effective representation, noting that it will be a clean sweep for APGA in next year's general elections.

In his remarks, Hon. Nwankwo thanked the governor and other top dignitaries for gracing the event and assured the readiness of his office to invest more towards ensuring that the people of the senatorial district get dividends of democracy to improve their living standards.

Highlighting on what the centre represents, he said, "The Centre for Skills Development and ICT HUB project was conceived and initiated by me as a result of challenges my constituents are facing in accessing web information. In this age that the world has become a global village, every effort must be made to provide ICT facility for our people.

"I took the construction and equipping of this project as my own widow's mite in skills development/acquisition and ICT in my constituency. For the records, the sites, physical and other structures were wholly funded by me while the present set of 150 computers, the furniture, the bus and the stand-by generator were sourced from my Zonal Intervention Funds.

"This ICT HUB is fully equipped with modern facilities for ICT experiences and trainings for skills development/acquisition. The capacity is for 250 computers (with space for expansion), but currently it is equipped with 150 fully installed and functional sysiems. It is hoped that the facility will also provide employment especially for the youths of my Federal Consitucncy and by extension Anambra Central Senatorial Zone. Discussions are already on-going to use it as a CBT Examinations Center for National Examinations like JAMB, NECO, etc. Proceeds from the Center will form part of funding for other proposed projects."

He said the skills development/acquisition section of the building has the following units, Cosmetology, Food processing, Wood work, Fashion and designing, Hair dressing, Confectionarie, Photography, video editing and cinematography, security system and surveillance and interior decoration and civil finishing.

Excitement As Hoplite Foundation Holds Hangout For Persons Living With Sickle Cell In Abuja

A non-governmental organisation, Hopelite Sickle Cell Foundation has successfully held its 2022 get-together for persons living with sickle cell tagged "The Warriors Hangout".

The event took place at Indigo restaurant Abuja in collaboration with Film Avenue, Bkeo Foundation, Amstel Ultra and Indigo.

The founder of the foundation, Anna Ochigbo said the aim is to bring persons living with the condition to come together, have fun, laugh and network.

According to her, she seeks to create a sickle cell community to give them hope and mobilise support for them.

She expressed regret that people living with sickle cell have not been given adequate care in the society even as they continue to face discrimination in the society.

While expressing gratitude with the number of participants that came out for the hangout, Ms Anna Ochigbo said members of the community held a far-reaching discussion that will further help in bringing succour to them.

About 97 sickle cell warriors were in attendance in addition to sickle cell volunteers and advocates.

They wielded placards with inscriptions such as "Stop stigmatisation and discrimination towards sickle cell warriors", "Sickle cell warriors deserve public health insurance" and more.

There was so much fun time, entertainment, refreshments and exchange of gifts items.

One of the sickle cell warriors, John Ekeneme expressed delight with the opportunity to come and network and have fun with fellow warriors, saying more opportunities like this will go a long way in supporting them.

Anna Ochigbo said subsequent editions of the hangout will have a larger pool of participants from across various sectors in the Nigerian society.

Love in NYSC Camp: OCI Foundation Founder Marks 15th Marriage Anniversary With 4 Beautiful Kids

Associate Professor Chris Ifediora, the founder Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora Foundation, a health advocacy group, has marked his 15th marriage anniversary to his heartthrob, Mrs. Nkem Ifediora with abundance of blessings.

The matrimonial journey of the two love birds began in 2004, at the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC orientation camp in Iseyin, Oyo State, where both were camped for mandatory orientation exercise for NYSC members.

They were joined in holy matrimony two years later, on Dec. 15, 2007, in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Their love story has continued to grow in leaps and bounds as God has graciously blessed the couple with three beautiful daughters, and a son.

They are, Chidumebi (f), Munachimso (m), Chimdindu (f) and Chimbusomma (f) Ifediora.

The couple has since released beautiful family pictures to mark the day.

The wife, Nkem, was a Banking and Finance graduate of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (Enugu), but is now a practising Registered Nurse in Australia, while Dr Chris Ifediora, a Harvard alumni and an Associate Professor with the Griffith University School of Medicine, Australia, graduated from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Medical School. They are both from Anambra State, Nigeria.

Former the former President, General Yakubu Gowon in 1973 established NYSC, the aim was among other things to foster national unity, cultural cross-fertilisation, inter-tribal marriages and more.

The OCI Foundation, established by the couple, is one of the leading health advocacy groups in Nigeria that has championed the campaign for a cancer free society. Earlier in the year OCI Foundation announced the establishment of a digital cancer screening centre in Abuja while also targeting other parts of the country.

Not long ago, the OCI Foundation also flagged off its Arm Our Youths, ArOY Anti-Cancer Health Campaign. The project, Arm Our Youths Health Campaign Against Breast and Cervical Cancers which is in collaboration with NYSC, and holds across all the 37 NYSC orientation camps in Nigeria for all streams and batches.

Gov. Soludo Appoints Obinna Nwankwo, Others As Aides

Anambra state Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo-CFR has appointed the convener of Community Crusaders For Soludo Solution-CCSS, Hon Obinna Nwankwo and others as his Aides.

The announcement was made at the weekend by the Press Secretary to the State Government, Sir Christian Aburime.

Nwankwo, a former Legislative Assistant at the National Assembly, Nigeria was appointed as the governor's Senior Special Assistant on Media.

Obinnaorumba as he is popularly known was a former Special Assistant on Project Monitoring and Management, to the government of Anambra State under HE, Dr Willie Mmaduaburochukwu Obiano. Mr. Nwankwo has been a staunch member of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA for several years.

During the 2021 governorship election, he was at the forefront in mobilising support for then candidate Charles Soludo in the entire State as the Convener of one of the foremost Soludo Support Groups, an MC in many of the governor's rallies, in media advocacy (both in broadcast and social media) and at the Ward level, as the APGA ward leader and ward collation agent of his Town, Eziagu, in Orumba South Local Government Area of the State.

Experienced, outspoken and fearless, he has defended policies and actions of APGA in the state.

He has worked with several organisations and politically exposed persons, including a former Chairman of House Committee on Culture, Tourism and National Orientation of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ben Nwankwo as a Legislative Assistant.
