My mom called few hours ago, talking about giving up so I and my siblings could survive. This is a sacrifice she's willing to pay just so the children she brought into this life won't regret why they're here.

[Background] She's been working since 1986; not with the government nor private sector. House help, roadside food assistance and doing her personal business all along. Life is not bad, thank God she had me and my siblings and we all good looking except we don't have stable source of income. She stopped working early this year and has been at home doing nothing.

I am self employed and I do try to send her whenever I have.

We're mostly broke 20+ days every month of the year including February and September.

Not long ago she called my cell phone, telling me she might end it all as she tired of living in misery. My Mom is not chubby but if you see her you'll know she's not been feeding well. She told me sometime she eats once in a day.

I feel her pain but there's nothing I can do being broke. Last time I sent money to her things fell apart for me... I ran into a serious problems at work. This has been happening for long but I started paying attention to it few months ago. More like someone did something with African science that gets me punished each time I tried to send money or provisions.

I can't stop her from quiting life neither can I help her stay alive. We're like two opposite force and I hate it.

I really want to help her but I am powerless.
