The topic is so misleading. The ban was for illegal migrants. Nairaland has become a harbour of anti African news recently. Shameful. If you know any other website I can get updates on Nigeria regularly, tell me. |

DomPerignon: As per this case, we can see that the child suffered from cerebral malaria which usually occurs due to badly treated malaria .
The parents even attested that the child had convulsions after being administered off the counter malaria drugs at home .
We should not ignore the high rates of fake drugs in circulation.
A friend of mine spent huge amounts of money treating his toddler in a foreign owned hospital in Lagos for this same cerebral malaria.
Malaria drugs are a miracle drug that have saved millions and treatment for malaria is free in Federal and some state hospitals .
The root cause here is the proliferation of fake drugs .
A medical doctor told me that as much as 80% of the malaria drugs being freely sold in chemists and pharmacies are fake.
The case of antibiotics is even worse and I am even surprised we are not developing super antibiotic strains of infections in Nigeria
As much as the entire healthcare system needs to be overhauled and a universal health insurance policy enacted, as long as there are merchants of death out there, it will be an effort in futility.
Let me not talk about spike in renal disease attributed to consumption of fake drugs and beverages Whatever angle you want to look at this, it’s a testament to the failure of our healthcare system courtesy the government. |

People will be silent about the rot of the healthcare system until they are the victims. Until every Nigerian demands for better health services and funding, things will not change. |

ufotunang: ..if he resigns he does not pay anything to NFF.....if NFF sacks him.its NFF that will pay him compensation for sacking him when his contract has not ended Coaches that resign do not pay anything to their employers not true, the law of paying the salary for the remaining duration of the contract applies to both parties. This is why footballers and coaches don’t resign from a club even if they have issues because they can’t afford to pay back the salaries. |

ufotunang: .. other clubs and countries are already interested in the coach...so if NFF does not tie him down with a lucrative new contract and salary....he will go to other clubs or country that wants to offer him a lucrative contract..he has the right to resign and go and sign a lucrative contract for a club or country that really needs his services if he resigns he’ll pay NFF the salary for the duration of his contract. There’s no chance he’ll resign. If at the end of his tenure he wants to leave then it’s fine but for now we have him. He may stay until after the next AFCON which he may win (this is what he would do if he is wise). He has no portfolio for now and SE is his stepping stone. |

Fake news, his contract does not end till 2027. As usual Nigerians will jump to impulsive conclusions without and fact finding or critical thinking. Are we actually as intelligent as we think ourselves to be?

Negotiations between powerful countries can be fair but between a ciuntry like USA or UAE and Nigeria there is no fairness. That money is a tool of political Negotiations which will be repaid one way or another. PulaPower: You’re right..
But even, USA accept their Trojan horses. Trump invited their prince into the White House and he pledges billions of dollar investments..
Their operation in Nigeria won’t go beyond their investments.. |

ArcSEMPECJ: Since Yoruba realised that running to the North in the name of Religious lines will give them a balance in the central government, they have forgotten that they are from the SOUTH.....
Goodluck became President not because he is from South South, but because of the death of a Northern President....
Go and check the tribe that pulled him down when he came to contest as a SOUTHERNER against the NORTH.....
They don't want to allow the regional system because they fear the gains and revenue they are getting from the same people they hate so much .... I agree with you. The militery governments were the worst things that happened to Nigeria, they destroyed the structure established by the intelligent people that gave us our independence. |
