They are doing that. Warri port is being expanded and upgraded.
warri port is an inland port. What we need are coastal seaports. I don't need to explain why.

This coastal road is to make it easy to syphon the oil and make them Lagos dependent.
I just pity my Niger delta brothers, when this oil finish eventually our children will curse us. We literally gained nothing as a people from our own wealth.

What are the Niger Delta political leaders doing with their monthly federal allocations, 13% derivation funding, budgetary allocations for Ministry of Niger Delta, monitary allocation to NDDC?

And is this not a functioning seaport?
The state governors are also part of the problem. However this thread is not about that. We need more functional ports in the niger delta. The onne port is an inland port with all its limitations.

You don't know you are saying most especially with the bolded statement. Nigeria export its crude oil through Onne Port. Please give another excuse
we are not interested in the exports. That has no influence on the cost of living for the people living around the port. It is the importation of goods through a port that can affect the cost of living, especially if it is an efficient port.

any port without direct access to the ocean/sea is an inland port. Onne seaport in an inland port.

You don't know anything about the Niger Delta, you just want to open mouth.
Rivers Port, Onne Port, Delta Port, Calabar Port. Those are the Seaorts in the Niger Delta.

Jonathan was President for 6 years and his own community didn't even have drinking water. No be juju be that?

What are the State Governments in Delta and Bayelsa doing? Those two are notoriously stunted in development.
Each Niger delta state with access to the ocean should have a seaport. The onne seaport in an inland port and has been strategically crippled to encourage importers to use the lagos port instead. Yes, the state governments and NDDC have not done enough but that is not my focus now. I am more interested in the role the FG is playing now. One of the problems with the Niger delta is that the federal government appointees who make decisions over the Niger delta region are not indigenous to the niger delta. E.g the down stream, middle stream and upstream oil sectors are being headed by northerners hence no implementation of policies that help the people. Only the government all all level benefit

What's wrong with the Onne seaport. You refused to use it. You spoke about poor schools, healthcare etc, what's the essence of the 13% derivation that's paid to your Governors? What happened to NDDC, that has become a pot for corruption.
Aside, this road is for the Oil producing State, What's wrong with this?
The onne port is an inland port with all its limitations. Check the map of ports in west Africa, you will notice how the frequency of ports stops at Lagos. The NDDC and state government do not have the capacity to carry out some kind of projects due to the difference in cost and allocation. In addition it is the responsibility of the FG to build interstate roads and seaports. The Niger delta states have benefitted less than 1% of the wealth they have given the nation. Their underdevelopment may be a strategy to keep the place uninhabited due to pollution by the oil companies. The issue of destroying the natural environment is another issue. They have found oil in the north but they are not pumping the oil out, you know why? Because they know how it can damage their environment. So much is given by the Oil producing companies and little is given back. The oil producing communities are just foolish.

The south south leaders are to be blamed . Have the masses ever made anyone accountable for the 13% derivatives they receive ? Even the oil company consider people from the local communities while employing so abeg try explain to us how they’ve been abandoned. Gej had 6years opportunity to transform the place , he couldn’t even transform his village . Let’s sort the problem we have within first before requesting for anything cos it will still end in the hands of those gluttons
state governments cannot fund such projects due to the cost in relation to their allocation. In addition it is the role of FG to build seaports and roads linking states. GEJ is the closest Nigeria has had to a non tribalistic president. The Niger deltan's deserve and need more.

The rest are benefitting their own wealth. Its like a group of 6 children five eats their own then they all start to also eat the food of the 6th child.

FG should also build functional seaports in the Niger delta. With all the wealth the oil producing communities have contributed to the nation there is still very little the government has given back to them. No good schools, no drinking water, roads or good sources of income.

our people are not politically conscious. the kano maradi rail network costs about 4.6 billion naira per kilometer, the abuja-kano road reconstruction about 2.2billion per kilometer, nobody complained that it was too expensive, now its the turn of the south south and they are saying its too much. Niger delta people are very very foolish.

Even a dunce knows this but Tinubu want to use federal government to build road and railway across the islands in Lagos.

Which Calabar is he heading, do u know how many bridges it will take to cross the massive bodies of water across Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers and Cross Rivers?

Dey play!
There is nothing wrong with building that road, the coastline of the Niger Delta region does not have any road connecting it to the hinterland even though they are the ones generating the funds to build roads elsewhere. this road should be encouraged not critisized. we should only focus on ensuring they complete it by putting pressure on them starting the construction from both ends. fucking greedy and selfish nigerians.

Niger deltans are foolish if not these are the kinds of projects they should be fighting for.

The Army didn't kill or kidnap any youths, they came to make peace and they got killed, who they came with mattered less, they were called by people who respected them enough to call them, Okuama youth didn't think highly of them, hence the intimidation on our Nation's security defence forces by ambushing and killing them.

Half the community is burnt down already, I am sure this what your people want.

Una don buy market.
you seem excited, have you given thought to what would happen to the 80 Yr old woman or 3 month old baby in that town? If you think burning that town in response is a good response then you must have lost a bit of your humanity.

How can Akwa Ibom and Delta States be paying N127.8bn and N110.3bn in salaries respectively? What value do those workers bring to the table to warrant earning sums that their states cannot generate? These two states are the highest on the list.

BTW, two-third of Nigerian states cannot pay salaries without federal intervention, yet politicians are talking about state police. First things first. Before state police, restructure Nigeria to allow states or regions control their resources and then pay taxes to the centre. If not, the level of corruption in today's police will be a child's play.
let the south south states be. The whole money being shared across the country belong to them. If the crude oil in the south was found in the east or north I'm sure they won't share.

The best doctors give the least medicine , others are just doing medical business 😂😂

imagine a doctor rejected my lab result just because I didn’t do the lab at the laboratory he referred me to .. which I later found out belongs to his wife…
doctors are just the same as lawyers, the only difference is that lawyers merely rob you, whereas doctors rob you and kill you too…

if your doctor say you have 6 weeks to live, just tell him the money you’re expecting to pay his bills will arrive in a couple of months… he will check you again and give you 6 months to live..😂😂😂
What you post online may seem like a joke but know that there are people who are at cross roads and seeing posts like this will discourage them from seeking medical care on time. Know that their blood will be on your head.

I don't want to sound tribalistic but more than 90% of the people spoiling Nigeria's name abroad is Igbo and they never ever condemn it. Its normal to them but the wrongs other do is sin. This is hypocrisy.

You keep proving just how dumb you are.

It seems the word 'consent' doesn't exist in your dictionary.

That is why rape is on the rise cause your brain can't grasp what consent is.

The reason paedophilia and zoophilia is evil is the lack of consent.

But what two consenting adults do with their bodies, time, and money is not your business.
so if someone gives another person consent to take his life it becomes right automatically because consent was given? So whenever consent is given an action becomes right automatically? You are a simpleton. No wonder you called yourself an animal.

Literally every country that has legalised gay marriage believes homosexuality is normal.

However, homophobia still persists, just as racism is still evident today.

Homosexuals deserve the right to live like everyone, irrespective of their sexuality, race or beliefs.
One day pedophilia will be legalised, intercourse with animals will be legalised and people like you will be there to defend it, not because its the right thing but because it is legal/normal. You are nothing but a puppet in this world.

Its actually not a bad argument to use the natural world as a reference point especially when talking about a natural urge like sex.

Some of us do. Many ancient societies certainly did. And in the modern world there are avowed nudists.

Many people into a certain type of fetish do this.

We are a type of animal, just a higher type, with greater sentience and intelligence. And larger capacities in world perception.

Overall, however, I understand your point. We have the capacity to make distinctions which animals cannot. We can conceive of logic and ethics and morality in a way that animals cannot. Nevertheless, the points I have made above are just to help you see that we still do all those weird things to an extent.
The nudist use animals as reference which is exactly what I'm against. You can call yourself an animal just because a bunch of people told you you are one but I'm not one. No animal has the creative ability like us so none should be in same class as us. Not every living thing is a plant or animal, we may have flesh and blood like them but we are not. Hundreds of years from now that analogy will be corrected. We are moral beings, ethical by nature, when these moral and ethical boundaries are destroyed then we will become animals. A few have done that however it should not be accepted as the norm. You argue in support of homosexuality because its legal and normal in some countries, those countries have spread their culture through the media-movies and you have become influenced. Even though it is normal in some societies it isn't right, what is normal is not necessarily right.
Christianity EtcRe: What Does The Bible Say About Homosexuality? by Glitcher: 1:29pm On Mar 05, 2023
AndroidAI:
Homosexuality is nothing but a sexual orientation, an attraction.

A child is born, and upon hitting puberty, discovers that he or she is attracted to the same gender.

Confused at first, they wondered why they had no romantic attraction to the opposite gender.

They feel differently, and without a support system they end up isolating themselves, trying to figure out the hows and whys.

They never created themselves, nor do they have control over this attraction.

But homophobia, propagated by religion, leads them to hate themselves, to the extent of suffering from internalised homophobia.

This is when a homosexual fight and bullies other homosexuals to avoid suspicion.

And they can be very convincing.

In nature, we have counted over 1500 species that engage in homosexuality.

Unfortunately, homophobia exists in one, humans.

The beauty of life lies in our differences. You can't hate someone because of his race, beliefs or sexuality.

Live and let live. Love is love. God, the Universe, nature.

Whatever we choose to call it, we are all at their mercy.

Love is love.
stop using animals as reference. Animals walk naked too, should we also do that. Some animals kill their mate after intercourse, should we also start to do that. You are not an animal even if you don't know that yet.
