Religion / How God Stopped Me From Using Jewelry — Billionaire Businesswoman, Alakija by globalgistng: 1:26pm On Nov 30, 2021
Nigerian billionaire businesswoman, [urlhttps://globalgistng.com/2021/11/30/how-god-stopped-me-from-using-jewelry-billionaire-businesswoman-folorunso-alakija/]Folorunso Alakija[/url], has narrated how God stopped her from using jewelry.

Speaking on Sunday, November 28, during a church service in Lagos, the Founder of Rose of Sharon Group, said it took ten days for God to stop her from using jewellery.

According to Church Times, she said, “I used to love jewellery. I had all kinds and the jewellery had to match every cloth I wore.

In those days I used to tell God not to take jewellery from me. If anybody had come to me and told me not to wear jewellery, I would not have listened to the person.

I would have wondered where that person is coming from. But by the time God started dealing with me on it, I had no option but to do away with it.”

The clergywoman, who is one of the richest women in Africa, said the turning point began when she started bleeding from her ear lobe while she was sleeping. “That night I just suddenly found I was bleeding from my ear lobe.

I did not sleep with earrings that night so I wondered what could have caused the bleeding. My ear lobe became sticky. When soap touched it while I was having my bath, it was hurting,” she said.

She said a week before that experience, her younger sister had a dream that she saw that her ear lobe had cut.
“That dream was almost becoming a reality.

At a particular time when we were praying, a nephew of mine asked if I put lipstick on my earlobe because it had become red.

The experience was not funny. But to cut a long story short, it took ten days for God to deal with me. Finally, I gave it up. Now I am free,” she add.

Politics / Tinubu Should Be Extra Careful And Vigilant In Dealing With Fayose by globalgistng: 3:08pm On Oct 27, 2020
The attentions of some Concerned yoruba elders as been drawn to a statement purportedly credited to the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose, saying, "the recent gang-up against the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the handiwork of those he brought up who are now traitors in his camp".

Furtherance to the above, Fayose said, “I am making it clear that if you trace our history, our leaders have always been given away by men they brought up, by traitors within their camps.

“If somebody gives you a platform you never expected in life and the only option you can do is to trade that person for you to rise, that will never work”.

With the above statements from Fayose, it’s crystal clear that the man doesn’t have any conscience, let’s go by memory lane when Gov Fayose firstly emerged as second Executive Governor of Ekiti in 2003, he attained the seat with the help of Former president of Nigeria, H.E Olusegun Okikiola Obasanjo and the good people of Ekiti State, today Fayose is molesting OBJ all around with so much defiant attitude.

Politics / Nigeria Politics: When Sycophacy Becomes A Political Achievement by globalgistng: 12:32pm On Aug 25, 2020

I must say here today that one of the reason why our leaders never care to serve us is the sycophantic behaviors of most of their blind followers who always praise their flaws, defend their lies and shield them from facing the wrath of judgment through their senseless and shameful protest.

If there was a law against sycophants, by now most of our leaders ,high and low would be behind bars. That’s no exaggeration. To confirm this, how many of our political leaders, especially those in the positions of power ever lost corrupt cases?, it’s only when they are out of office or step on toes that hammer hit them hard on the head.

Most people do mistaken Loyalty for Sycophancy, but they are two different words. One can be loyal to a leader or a cause but it will never stop them from saying the truth and make them lose their integrity and uprightness.

Today, the epidemic disease killing the future of most of our educated youths is the act of sycophancy. It’s common among the so called social media politicians and defenders of political leaders. Sometimes you wonder for the kind of disease that damaged their keen of intellect and sense of reasoning to the level that they decided to reduce themselves to mere political dogs that bark for no good reason.

Sycophancy is one of the celebrated disease in our society today. Sometimes the level of your bootlicking, Flattery and toady determine how far you go in politics, this is one of the reason why sycophancy becomes norms to ascent to political positions.

Also Read: Professor Eleka debunks rumours of a rift in the Ayo Fayose political family, says: “I remain an unrepentant political disciple of Osoko”
Sycophancy is not limited to those defending political office holders, it’s also common among the opposition and the so called activist with no fist. When they criticise, they do it blindly, when they praise they do it senselessly but funny enough, this is counted as part of their political achievements.

Most of the occupant of political Positions are nothing but sycophants who have nothing upstairs to contribute and no ideologies to present but all what they can boast on is their sycophantic behaviors that have transformed to psychological impairment.

Have you ever wonder why our best are not giving chances to lead?, it’s all because we celebrate sycophants and it has become common political achievements.

Let stand against all sycophants, let work together to rehabilitate them back to normal for their destruction have no limit.

Technically, the “seven” is unified with the RS-5 SUV, which has been in service for a year and a half: they share a modular R platform with a transverse engine arrangement and independent rear suspension. However, this is not just a “stretched” version of the “five”: the RS-7 model has an original body with wide doorways and other external panels. The wheelbase is increased from 2700 to 2900 mm, and the overall length – from 4570 to 4930 mm. That is, in size it is almost a Honda Pilot.

Two cabin configurations are offered for seven or six seats. In the first case, a three, seat sofa is installed on the second row, and in the second-two separate chairs with individual adjustments. The proportions of the new sedan are the same as the previous one, although the shape of the doorways is still different. In the cabin, too, the ears of the outgoing sedan stick out: the shape and layout of the front panel are the same, and the steering wheel and the characteristic climate control unit with touch-sensitive temperature control strips are completely the same. One of the most striking differences is the free-standing display of the media system (previously it was embedded in the front panel) with a touchpad on the Central tunnel (previously there was a joystick) and round side ventilation deflectors.

Education / Educational Crisis: Learning Is Different From Schooling by globalgistng: 3:15pm On May 26, 2020
THE DOG’S NAME IS A PUPPY. This seems like a simple sentence. But did you know that in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, three out of four third-grade students don’t understand this? In rural India, nearly three-quarters of third-graders can’t solve a two-digit subtraction problem like 46 minus 17, and by the fifth grade, half still can’t do it.

The world is facing a learning crisis. Although countries have significantly expanded access to education, school attendance is not the same as learning. Around the world, hundreds of millions of children reach adulthood without even the most basic skills, such as calculating the correct change from a deal, reading a doctor’s instructions, or understanding bus schedules, let alone building a full-fledged career or educating their children.

Education is at the center of human capital formation. Recent world Bank research shows that the productivity of 56 percent of the world’s children will be less than half of what it would be if they had a full education and full health.

A well-delivered education, along with the human capital it generates-benefits individuals and society. For individuals, education increases self-esteem and increases employment and earning opportunities. And for the country, it helps strengthen institutions within society, encourages long-term economic growth, reduces poverty, and encourages innovation.

The global crisis of learning

One of the main reasons why the learning crisis continues is that many education systems in developing countries have little information about who is learning and who is not. As a result, it is difficult for them to do anything about it. And in the face of uncertainty about what skills will be required for future work, schools and teachers must prepare students with more than just basic reading and writing skills. Students should be able to interpret information, form opinions, be creative, communicate well, collaborate, and be resilient.

The world Bank’s vision is for all children and young people to learn and acquire the skills they need to be productive, full-fledged and engaged citizens and employees. We are focused on helping teachers at all levels become more effective in facilitating learning, improving learning technologies, and strengthening school management and systems, while ensuring that students of all ages from preschool to adult are prepared to succeed.

Change begins with a great teacher

There is growing evidence that the learning crisis is essentially a learning crisis. In order for students to learn, they need good teachers but many education systems pay little attention to what teachers know, what they do in the classroom, and in some cases even whether they show themselves.

Fortunately for many students, every country has dedicated and enthusiastic teachers who, despite all the difficulties, enrich and transform their lives. They are heroes who challenge the odds and make you learn with passion, creativity and determination.

One of these characters works on the banks of the Oued river at the Eddahab school in kenitra, Morocco. In a colorful classroom that she drew herself, she uses creative tools to make sure that every child learns, participates, and has fun. In her class, every letter of the alphabet is associated with the sound of an animal and the movement of a hand. During the lesson, she pronounces a word, pronounces it aloud using sounds and movements, and then the students write down the word. It can easily identify students who are struggling with material and adjust the pace of the lesson to help them get on track. Children are very enthusiastic and attentive. They participate and are not afraid to make mistakes. This is a teacher who wants to make sure that all children learn.

But even heroes need help. We need to make sure that all teachers are motivated to do their best and that they are equipped to teach effectively.

To support countries in reforming the teaching profession, the world Bank is launching the project ” successful teachers, successful students.”This global platform for teachers addresses the key challenges of improving the performance of all teachers, making teaching a respectable and attractive profession with an effective workforce policy, and ensuring that teachers are equipped with the right skills and knowledge before entering the classroom and then supporting them throughout their careers.

Technology opens up new opportunities for teaching and learning

Rapid technological changes raise the stakes. Technology is already playing a crucial role in supporting teachers, students, and the learning process more broadly. This can help teachers manage the class better and offer different tasks to different students. And technology makes it easy for school leaders, parents, and students to interact with each other. Millions of students benefit from the efficient use of technology, but millions more in developing countries do not.
Image

One of the most interesting, large-scale efforts in educational technology is led by EkStep, a charity in India. EkStep has created an open digital infrastructure that provides access to learning opportunities for 200 million children, as well as professional development opportunities for 12 million teachers and 4.5 million school leaders. Both teachers and children get access to content that ranges from educational materials, explanatory videos, interactive content, stories, practice sheets, and formative assessments. By tracking which content is used most frequently—and with the greatest benefit-you can make informed decisions about future content.

In the Dominican Republic, a pilot study supported by the world Bank shows how adaptive technologies can generate great interest among 21st-century students and provide a pathway to support the learning and teaching of future generations.

Yudeishi, a sixth-grader who took part in the study, says that what she most enjoys doing during the day is watching videos and tutorials on her computer and mobile phone. Taking a child’s curiosity as a starting point, the research aimed to direct her to study mathematics in a way that would interest Yudeishi and her classmates.

We know that learning happens best when learning is personalized to meet each child’s needs and strengths, individual progress is tracked, and prompt feedback is provided. Adaptive technology was used to evaluate students ‘ initial level of learning to then guide them through math exercises in a dynamic, personalized way based on artificial intelligence and what the student is willing to learn. After three months, the students with the lowest initial performance achieved significant improvements. This demonstrates the potential of technology to improve learning outcomes, especially among students who lag behind their peers.

In a field that is developing at breakneck speed, innovative solutions to educational problems are appearing everywhere. Our goal is to make technology a driving force for equity and inclusion, not a source of even greater inequality of opportunity. We work with partners around the world to support the effective and appropriate use of educational technologies to strengthen learning.

When schools and education systems are well managed, learning happens

Providing quality education requires creating systems that provide day-to-day education in thousands of schools to millions of students. Successful education reforms require good policy development, strong political commitment, and effective implementation capacity. Of course, this is an extremely difficult task. Many countries struggle to make efficient use of resources, and very often increased spending on education does not lead to increased learning and improved human capital. Overcoming such challenges involves working at all levels of the system.

At the Central level, ministries of education need to attract the best experts to develop and implement evidence-based and country-specific programmes. District or regional offices need capacity and tools to monitor learning and support schools. At the school level, school principals must be trained and prepared to manage and manage schools, from planning the use of resources to overseeing and educating their teachers.

However difficult it may be, change is possible. With support from the world Bank, public schools across Punjab in Pakistan have been part of major reforms over the past few years to address these issues. By improving accountability at the school level by monitoring and limiting teacher and student absenteeism, and by introducing a merit-based teacher selection system that selects only the most talented and motivated teachers, they have been able to increase the number of students enrolled and retained and significantly improve the quality of education. “Public schools are now very good, even better than private schools,” said Mr. Ahmed, a local resident.
No changes can occur without data. Governments need to know what their education systems are missing or what is being done right-in order to take the right steps to improve. The world Bank, together with the bill and Melinda gates Foundation and the UK Department for international development, is developing a global education policy dashboard. This new initiative will provide governments with a system for monitoring the performance of their education systems, from training data to strategic plans, so that they can better make timely and evidence-based decisions.

Education reform: the long game is worth it

By its very nature, the return on investment in education requires patience and perseverance. In fact, it will take a generation to fully realize the benefits of high-quality teachers, effective use of technology, improved management of education systems, and engaged and prepared students. However, world experience shows us that all countries that have quickly accelerated their development and prosperity have a common feature-a serious attitude to education and adequate investment.

As we mark the first ever international education Day on 24 January, we must do everything we can to ensure that our young people can continue to learn, adapt to changing realities, and thrive in an increasingly competitive global economy and a rapidly changing world of work.
Today, schools of the future are being built. These are schools where all teachers have the necessary competencies and motivation, where technology allows them to provide quality education, and where all students acquire fundamental skills, including social-emotional and digital skills. These schools are safe and accessible to all and are places where children and young people learn with joy, rigor and purpose.

Governments, teachers, parents, and the international community must do their homework to realize the promise of education for all students, in every village, in every city, and in every country

Autos / Russia Conceives A Service For Controlling Traffic Lights Via A Smartphone by globalgistng: 10:21am On May 11, 2020
In 2021, Russia may have a smartphone app “Caterpillar”, which allows pedestrians to extend the time of the green light signal. This was reported on April 29 with reference to the press Secretary of the NP “GLONASS” Yaroslav Fedoseyev.

“In fact, we give pedestrians the opportunity to become traffic controllers via a smartphone. Technology can also help people with limited vision, the disabled, and seniors cross the road. As part of the Avtodata project, we are ready to introduce pilot operation of the Caterpillar application in the next 1-2 years, “the GLONASS NP spokesman explained.

As an example, Yaroslav Fedoseyev cited a scenario when a group of schoolchildren does not have time to cross a pedestrian crossing during the Gorenje of the traffic light. In this case, the accompanying group will be able to connect to the traffic light via a smartphone and extend the validity of the enabling signal.

In order to prevent the app from being used for hooligan purposes, restrictions for its use will be developed in the near future.

On March 3, it was reported that in Russia in 2022, a new service will start informing drivers about traffic lanes.

Car Talk / Renault Is Preparing To Release An Updated Crossover Kaptur by globalgistng: 9:57am On May 11, 2020
In the first half of 2020, Renault will launch the updated Kaptur crossover on the Russian market. This was reported to the Izvestia correspondent on May 6 by the press service of the French brand.

The updated Renault Kaptur will be based on a new modular platform. The crossover will have a redesigned interior, an expanded equipment package, a reconfigured suspension, an intelligent all-wheel drive system and an electro-mechanical power steering.

The car received a 1.3-liter petrol turbo engine with a capacity of 150 HP and a new generation Xtronic variator.

On May 1, it was reported that Renault plans to bring A new-generation Kadjar crossover to the market in the second half of 2021.

Renault also build Renault Morphoz, This car is designed with two modes: City and Travel, with City being shorter in wheelbase and having a smaller battery capacity for the electric power train underneath. In City mode, the concept car is 4.4m long and has a 40kWh battery, which Renault claims is good for around 249 miles.

When Travel mode is selected, the bonnet stretches forward up to the point of the A-pillar, revealing a battery meter embedded into the bodywork, and the rear slides back to allow more luggage space.

What Renault envisions is that, when you go on a longer drive (traveling for leisure, say, or visiting relatives further away), you’ll drive to a ground-embedded charging station, drive over it, and an additional 50kWh battery will be slotted in, extending total EV range to around 435 miles.

Renault is clearly thinking about the wider infrastructure of the electric car (even if it is a bit pie-in-the-sky), as these charging pads will have a number of supplemental batteries in storage. Battery sharing, it says, will further reduce our carbon footprint by minimising how many people need more than one car in order to travel longer distances.

The Morphoz, it suggests, can also be used to power homes and appliances and the batteries stored in the subterranean charging pads are connected directly to the grid, with Renault suggesting any that aren’t in use on a car can power street lights and last-mile mobility like e-scooters and bicycles.
Check out that crazy interior!

The Morphoz is a four-seater inside, finished in an eye-searing electric yellow. It can be driven – this isn’t entirely some autonomous pod – so there’s a block, rectangular steering wheel with a properly futuristic take on Renault’s diamond logo and massive L-folding touchscreen infotainment system.

Renault claims the Morphoz has Level 03 autonomous, however, so that steering wheel and infotainment system can fold away for a cleaner cockpit, while still allowing the occupants to use the artificial intelligence-based infotainment.
