There are about 6 dual carriage ways terminating at Owerri and several interconnecting routes within the city, unlike Awka that has only Onitsha/Enugu expressway. Those legacy projects was a last minute hustle by Obiano to redeem his failed government. Remember he wanted the Chinese to finance it but the Chinese pulled out because they didn't see the viability of it and how they can take advantage of our lands. At that point the airport was abandoned. Obiano sensed he would end up a failure and out of desperation liquidated Obi's savings to build that airport and the ICC. Remember he never revealed the cost of these projects because he knows hell will let loose.

Obiano could have done well if he had focused in urban regeneration in our commercial cities of Onicha and environs , Nnewi , Ekwulobia , Otuocha areas etc. Remember it was during Obiano that Anambra lost its enviable placing in WAEC EXAMS. What was his achievement in health , roads and urban expansion ?

My brother Anambra should have had an Okorocha kind of governor for his vision of expansive roads layout, though he poorly executed them before an Ngige kind of governor for his quality in roads construction. I have problem with some people on this thread because I was against the kind of roads Obi was constructing during his time, but do you know that most of them have left this thread because Obiano continues on the same part of road construction.
What is worth doing is worth doing well, even Rochas manage to construct a poor-quality dual carriageway around Imo state but now Hope is turning most of those roads into standard roads while ANSG will be constructing single lanes that will be hard to fit big lorries moving across each other .
I don't even want to speak of Obiano's projects cos that man do us willy-willy .
I just laugh when some people call Ikpeazu a failure, The man built a lot of dual carriageways with sidewalks in Abia state and even construct a dual carriageway from Aba to his house in Umuobiakwa. I know you very well from Obi tenure. Anambra does not start and end in onitsha.
