Liverpool should stop conceding early goals.
Look at the way Arsenal held City confidently on their own ground.
We should win our home and away games without conceding needlessly onward.

Properties / Re: How Much Will It Cost To Build This Kind Of Small Bungalow? Pictures by Glocal1: 9:28am On Mar 26
God1000:
Considering the high cost of building materials today in Nigeria, how much should one budget for such project.

Can people also suggest modifications or adjustments in the structure or components that can reduce the cost of this project.
For example using flat roofing to reduce quantity of wood and zinc.

Use of blocks instead of pillars.
Use of cheaper but good substitute building materials, and so on.

Congratulations to Klopp and Liverpool.
Thanks to Liverpool for believing in Klopp and thanks to Klopp for giving the young lads the chance to shine, and also for bringing smiles to our faces.
Nothing can stop you when it's your time.

May this victory herald more trophies for Liverpool this season.

What a great way to bow out as a Manager.

Man United defended so well today by parking the bus all through 90 minutes.
It was a wise decision by their Manager not to counter-attack Liverpool, else the outcome might have been different.

Liverpool, however, have to work on their attack if the really want to contest the EPL title this season.
I can't imagine this result at Anfield, despite resting the players since last week.

A draw is better than a loss but the attack has to be lethal to be able to contend for the title this season.
It seems these Liverpool players have lost their winning attitude.

Arnold is teaching these strikers how to score goals.
He is really evolving and getting better as a midfielder and free ranger on the pitch.
He deservedly is my man of the match.

I can't imagine not getting goals from our strikers, Salah and Nunez let us down today.

What's wrong with our defence, especially the right back, and goalkeeping today?
Nunez should be courageous enough to score goals and not always pass the ball to Salah

I hope Fulham will not be allowed to cause another upset today.
Crime / Re: NDLEA Raids Osun Illicit Drug Party Tagged Unholy Alliance, Arrests Organisers by Glocal1: 5:07pm On Nov 29, 2023
Jakumo:

This is a highly informative writeup about a truly dangerous drug that I am hearing about for the first time. There is yet another even more insidious drug that is widely used to rob unsuspecting men by hookers in South America, whose name I will NOT mention here, because if this drug arrives in Nigeria, it WILL be used by criminals, and that would be very bad news since the drug will kill if applied in an overdose quantity.

The drug to which I refer is derived from the flowers of a tree that would easily grow in Nigeria, which is why the NDLEA must educate itself about the effect and appearance of the tree whose flowers are used to manufacture this particular drug, which is typically processed into a white powder. Now, the element that sets this particular drug apart from ALL other deadly drugs is that in small dosages, the drug produces NO visible effects on the victim's behavior or speech that can be identified by an untrained observer. This means that in small doses, the victim is able to walk and talk as though nothing is amiss, while at the same time that victim will obey ANY instruction given to them by ANYBODY who knows about the mental state of that person under the influence.

The reason this drug is so dangerous is that it completely neutralizes the victim's ability to disobey instructions given by ANYBODY. That said, since the dosage can easily be overdone, brain damage and death are also likely outcomes of ingesting this drug, whose effect is highly desired by criminals seeking to empty the bank accounts of their victims. A typical scenario where a person could fall victim to this drug would be for a man to hire a hooker, only for her to produce a small amount of the powdered drug in question, and blow that powder into the face of her victim, who will then become her willing and obedient servant awaiting instructions that generally include heading to the ATM machine to empty the entire content of his bank account by installment over a few days during which the there may be repeat applications of the drug.

It is not uncommon for victims of this drug to take criminals to their homes, and actually assist those criminals in carrying out their personal belongings and cash from their homes, without a care in the world all due to the effects of that drug. Many victims are finally killed by repeat applications of the drug, by which time the criminals have generally taken everything of value that they can find in the victim's possession, all with the full conscious cooperation of the drugged victim. If this particular drug reaches Nigerian shores in the future, the implications would be absolutely catastrophic, so one can only hope that Nigerian criminals NEVER learn about this naturally occurring compound whose effects are so subtle yet potentially devastating.
How are you sure the substance is not already being abused in Nigeria?

I think the tertiary institutions should subject all new entrants to drug test and HIV test before admission.

The menace of drug and substance abuse is really soaring in the country and the psychiatric wards won't be able to contain the victims.

lexini paid 150k for his fence.

That is extremely cheap oh. Usually 5" blocks is laid at 100 to 120 per block laid. Which covers for the bricklayer n the labour's. Hope u will be around to checkmate the job?
Is there 5inches block? For the fencing, we used 9inches for the foundation then 6inches above the foundation.

his work with me will take at least 3 weeks as he just started yersterday.

i can still ask him though, where is your location?

My advice is that just negotiate with the bricklayer and tell him how much you can afford to pay for the labour. Because if you pay daily payments you’ll spent more than that 150k. But with the materials just tell him that can 28 bags of cement and 2200 blocks will complete it. Let him know. that’s your budgets for it.
Thanks for this.
Do you have idea about charges for plastering of a house.
How much will it cost to plaster both in and out of a 4- bedroom flat ensuite ?

Can you help me ask the person his charges for plastering the in and out of a 4-bedroom flat ensuite?
Thanks

Good morning All

Please, how many blocks will one bag of cement set?

I am doing my fence now on an uncompleted building i just bought and the bricklayer is saying i need 34 bags of cement for 2430 blocks?

Is this too much?

also, is there a method of calculating pay for bricklayers? he is charging me 150k for the entire fence - 2430 blocks.

I need advice please
Please, does the 150k cover the labour charges or you employ and pay the labourers yourself?

Nigerian strikers were all useless throughout this match.
Don't we have a right winger that was supposed to be intercepting the crosses and corners?

This coach should be sacked asap if we really want to quality and excel in upcoming competitions.

I understand your objectivity..This is supposed to be Imo state affairs not a national affairs. It wasn't the federal government that asked people to beat him in his state of origin.
Ajaero said he was beaten by the Police.
Is there a special Police force in Imo apart from the national one?

So invariably, the FG's agent is culpable in this fiasco and should be held accountable.

It's also commonsensical for the Labour to rise up in solidarity for their leader.

These are some of the memos that have been released by some of the unions directing their members on an indefinite strike.
I suspected it would get to this level when the Ghanaian labour union sent a solidarity message to Ajaero.

I hope an end would be brought to this strike action in no time.
To be fair and honest, it was wrong for the labour leader to be brutalized in Imo.
Even El-rufai did not do this when the Labour besieged Kaduna during his tenure.

What's the solution to this issue, if there are no covert sentiments in this struggle, like unpaid wage adjustment which the Federal government only paid for one month, September, while we are already in November, and other lingering issues the Labour has with the government.

Imo state government should provide the perpetrators of the brutality on Ajaero and subject them to appropriate judgement and punishment.

What a show of bravery exhibited by Chelsea against the table toppers, Man City, they fought for their lives till the last minute.
I wonder why they are 10th on the log going by today's performance.

The game was absolutely brilliant, lively and breath-taking. Chelsea should keep this tempo going forward.
