I will advice every single lady/man or married couple's to read the book titled " Five love languages " and "Things i wish i had known Before We Married" By Gary Chapman there was a particular section dedicated to what you just stated above. For anyone who needs a pdf copy, I can send it to you if you will read it. We are shapened by environment, upbring ing, knowledge, events... And all of these goes a long way to affect us either positively or negative and in turn speaks in the way we relate with our spouse.

Ensure baby is latched on properly by having both the nipple and a reasonable part of the areola in his mouth. You can get a nipple cream, putting breastmilk on the nipple also helps. In all, dont stop breastfeeding, with time it will go. Pele mama

Reporting officially on this thread tho i started reading from page 1 the day I registered on preggy thread. I must say I've really learnt alot from mama here. The load of useful information here is priceless and I've been applying some as the need arises. Kudos to you all

BS! BS!! BS!!!
I had a good dose of morning sickness during my 1st trimester, had food aversions but my appetite increased. 2nd trimester was pretty easy but 3rd trimester, I was tired of being pregnant. I gained almost 22kg as I was always eating.
My EDD was Oct 11. On 29th Sept, I saw bloody show then I started having bearable contractions at 7-10 mins apart. I came here to ask being FTM (thanks to all who responded), I eventually called my hospital and was advised to come when I see water or the contractions come in less than 5 mins. The pains got worse in the night but I could still bear it. By 6.30am next morning, I felt a gush of water and the pain got worse, we rushed to the hospital. VE was done upon arrival (mhen that thing is painful) and told I was 4-5cm gone. I was already saying in my mind that I should have delivered by afternoon but that wasn't my case. By noon, I was examined and was 6cm gone. I was placed on drip to fast track the process. At 3pm I was fully dilated but the intensity of the contraction reduced, the monitor showed it wasnt exceeding 40. At that time I was already on the 2nd bag of oxytocin, the pains got worse but contractions weren't severe and not lasting for long. At 4pm, still the same story and I was given the 3rd bag of oxytocin still no improvement. My Gynaecologist did another VE and said he could feel my baby's head but it's in a transverse position that if i dont deliver by 6pm, CS will be conducted. Already I was in another planet cos of the pains. I didnt even have the urge to poo or wee when the midwife asked. DH didnt think twice before signing the consent form and I was wheeled to the theatre. I was given the spinal anaesthetic which made the lower part of my body numb but I could see what was happening. After 13 hours of labor, my princess was brought out at around past 8. Her cry was faint but started increasing when they were bringing out stuff from her nose. It wasn't a pleasant experience at all but it ended in praise. Mother and baby alive. I thank God there was no complication. Kudos to the hospital too cos all the medical staff who attended to me are pros. The healing process is quite fast.
Babies indeed come with blessings cos what DH has been expecting since he eventually got it after her delivery. She is also very peaceful, doesnt disturb at night. Everyday I look at her and smile because she is worth the pains.
God bless all mothers, my respect to them trippled. Thanks to everyone on this thread, you mamas rock. I wish belleful mamas safe delivery, those TTC, your testimony is on the way.

Congrats to you biggal.. God bless your family. I can totally relate to your BS cos my experience is quite similar to yours but in all God saw us through. I wish you a speedy recovery. I hope you have an elderly person to assist and take care of you and baby. Ensure you rest well, take your medications and follow doc's advice in caring for the cs site. The joy is that both mother and baby are alive, that's the ultimate goal. God will strengthen you.

Good evening all mamas, pls I have a question, for those of us that want to do exclusive breastfeeding, pls what does the baby eat before breast milk start to flow, heard it usually start by 3rd day. Pls mamas advice

You can get formula to feed baby pending when it starts flowing but keep putting your baby to breast from that ist day. You might be lucky and your milk starts flowing immediately. Just make sure your mind is at rest. I wish you a supernatural delivery teamie.

So sorry about what has happened to your daughter. It's really devastating to hear. God will punish the bastard that did this. Please be strong for your daughter, I'm very sure the person is in her school. Try and make her very comfortable to enable her open up to you, a mama has suggested telling her a story. My beautiful Princess made her grand entry into the world on 30th of September via emergency CS at about 8.20pm weighing 3.21kg.
It wasnt an easy journey but God proved Himself. Thanks to the mamas who answered my question on Sunday. Congrats LEEMAH50, God bless your LO.
My October mamas, I wish you swift and supernatural delivery. It will surely end in praise.
My BS will be sent once I'm fully recovered, updated roll call as well.
