Modern pig farming like we practice, house pigs in a clean hygienic environment and they are fed adequate ration that will make them grow more flesh and not fat. If you feed goat thrash it will be fatty. Fact even has it that goat in the real sense is more fatty than pigs. Pigs also rank very high in intelligence, going biblical, Christ has made all things beautiful,, not what goes inside defiles you but your theft, fornication, adultery, back biting, etc.... Those pioneer people are liars and thieves. I bought their seed for 50K a hectare with the agreement that they will supervise the planting by teaching us their procedure and monitor till harvest. The moment I payed, I didn't even get my seeds till well after 2 weeks. Another 2 weeks was wasted before planting because they didn't show up. They even stopped picking my calls.

The moment I planted the way I knew how, they came to the farm and said I will not get the yield of 10 tonnes/ hectare because I didn't follow their procedure.

In short, I farmed 10 hectares and got 105 bags of 100kg. That's just above 1 tonne/ hectare.

I then told them to do their demo so I'll take my lessons learned, do you know that they made me pay for the clearance, labour , fertilizer etc. They only came with their seed and they planted on 1/4 of an acre as against the 1 acre they promised " free of charge".

I've been so dissapointed in them and it's in an effort to farm better next season that I stumbled upon this site. Imagine then my shock realising that they are here advertising their fake product.

For your own good, don't fall for their trick. They are fraudsters

The seed purchase comes with a protocol. Did he get this? Who gave him? The demos are set on 1/2 of an acre not 1/4 of an acre. We supply seeds and other inputs for the demo. The farmer supplies the labour. We run these demos in other states too. There is no where or company that has ever put a demo on this size of plot in this country"

The performance of pioneer seed is not in doubt, flour Mill currently uses pioneer seed.

38k for 2 acres.

Seed is a product of Pioneer seed. Price is 45k for 1ha, 19k for 1 acre and 10k for half an acre bags. Seeds are packed according to size of land. u can buy a little and plant side by side ur regular seed. we can also do a free demo on your farm for free.
the Seed is expensive but it's resistant to draught and common diseases. if you have been planting maize and failing, it's time to do it differently.

Processing is key to making d farmer get max benefit 4 his/her labour. BBQ/grilled pork in public places like ds will increase pork acceptability.

More pork to your fork. More money in ur pocket.

I processed some pork from my pig farm. I grilled some and sold some as fresh meat. despite the fact that I killed 2 pigs ,I couldn't meet up with the demand.

Most of us sometimes dnt understand how to respond to people in pains. we dnt ve to add more pain, who made us judges over others?
sis , ur worries are understandable. you are worried that you might loose ur job and you will not have enough to cater for the baby, you are scared that you might not get a good man to marry u.That might not be true. The only certain thing here is that if you get rid of the baby, the baby's life is cut short.
u have an option of putting the life of the baby first and facing the consequences boldly. There are people out there that will still salute your courage.

Thanks for your contribution. I think they do more of fattening, one of the farmer told me no matter how strong the floor of the pen is pig will dig hole in no time . But with tiles they can't dig any hole on the floor and it last longer than concrete floor.

u mean the tiles are made with a material stronger than concrete?

I had the unbeatable at my farm to supervise but the killing, dressing n the eating. my pork is lean. check it out.

Going thru some post here has given me some vital n basic information I need to start up my farm. I feel at home and not walking alone(not a liverpool fan).
