You people want me to talk again.

No matter how much the producers deviate from ASOIAF and cannot cast the books aside. You'd miss so many things.

Examples:
If you watched only the series, I'm very sure you didn't know about R+L=J until it was shown.

Someone here said the wall was built to prevent the widlings from crossing. Who does that? If he had properly read the books he would know the answer to this.

The show mad no reference to the killing of Elia Martell and her children until season 4. There was no back story, just Gbam! They raped her and killed her children...who, how, when did all this happen. This is where you need the book brother.

The show can't show you everything, and even thought they've added their own story to it, the book will always remain key. If it wasn't, why then do they still seek GRRM's advice?

The book is key...if you really want to know and understand ASOIAF
I still stand by what I said. The book and the series are separate entities. If you need to check up on the book in order to understand what is going on in the story then the show runners has done a very terrible adaption

Am I the only one who noticed the plot hole in the last episode two episodes?
Barry claims that he can detect when someone has entered the speed force yet, Nora has travelled to the future multiple times, how why didn't he know.

But seriously what's the purpose of sitting on the iron throne??
Cause cersie has been sitting there for a while.. And I see no benefit attached to the throne....

I still have a feeling Danny will die.. She's power drunk already... Sansa wipe never surrender the north to her
Power drunk how? You people just hate that girl for no reason.
Sansa has no say in this issue. All she can do is sulk and act like a little bitch. The north was given to Jon and he gave it to Danny, case closed.

I really hope that Jon Snow never gets to sit on the Iron Throne no matter what happens. I'll even prefer Cerci to remain there than for John to ascend the throne. Birth right be dammed

The show is an adaptation of the books. You can't just cast it aside.
You can and you should. The two of them are different and separate. When a book is adapted to show, the two of them become separate. You can't excuse a plot hole or a poorly executed plot from the show simply because the details are in the book. It is the work of the show runners to ensure that the relevant details are in the show. Shikina

Jon Snow? Not me. Jon Snow inspires loyalty, no doubt, but so did Robb Stark - even grandfathers seasoned in war and lordship followed the Young Wolf. And what did he do? Let his honour and emotions take over his head. Exactly same as Jon Snow.

I will rather have a mixture of Tywin Lannister and Ned Stark.
Imo, Tywin will make a better leader than Ned Stark

he was the first according to the show and I’m not disputing the fact that Ned beheaded him for abandoning his duty, what I’m saying is that if he had gotten proof to show the night King really existed and showed it to Ned, Ned wouldn’t have beheaded him instead he would have done what Jon is doing now, Ned saw the story as a lie made up by the man for deserting his post. Just imagine you sent someone on an important errand and he runs back to u telling you he couldn’t carry out the errand because he saw a dinosaur on the road, will you believe such,? U would have considered it as a flimsy excuse.
Having an excuse for a crime does not absolve you of a crime. If he had evidence to support his claims, he should gone back to the nights watch instead of Running further away from the wall.

3.legacies-female

4. latest xmen movie trailer- Jean (a female ) portrayed as the villian and most Formidable superhero.

5. super girl- female

6. latest men in black movie trailer- formally played by 2 male but now played by a male and a female. gradually before you know it they will change it to women in black.

7. upcoming James Bond movie- feminists and some folks were pressuring the producers to change the character to a female.can you imagine? the producers almost caved in if not for the intervention of amadioha and sane people who kicked against it. even the LGBT community follow join clamoring for a gay Bond. foolish people .
These things your cited are bad example.

You make an assertion, and then you go ahead to counter your own argument.nawa oh.
Blockdock90:
So because the show is rated 18+ then that means only those over 18 will watch the show? Come on, look around you and you'll see lots of secondary school students who are obsessed with the show, bearing in mind that the average SS3 student is 16. Even on reddit there are tons of fans of the show who are under 18. By the way, keeping one's virginity isn't something that only under 18s do. There are many girls that believe that their virginity should be protected until marriage or at least till they meet a partner who they are sure to spend the rest of their lives with. And I'm not for or against virginity, I'm just pointing out how movies influence people's behavior.

The people who were inspired to try out the Russian Roulette weren't kids. They were grown men. There have been a lots of other cases. For instance the movie Deep Throat was key in modifying people's views towards watching pornography. It's a statistical fact that the consumption of pornography spiked after the movie was released.

I'm not asking you to strain your brain to identify themes in movies and books. Actually if your brain needs straining in other to identify easily recognizable themes, then maybe you lack the kind of intelligence or knowledge needed to spot these themes, and I'd advice you stick to consuming movies and books just for entertainment purposes. I read Animal farm for the first time when I was 10. It was all just entertainment for me because I didn't have the knowledge to recognize it's underlying message. But when I read about 20th century communism and how dangerous the ideology was, the message of Animal Farm became VERY EASY to recognize.

I mean go on Goodreads and see intelligent people giving review on books. Hardly would you find anyone who just reviews a book based on it's entertainment value. Same thing on the Reddit sub dedicated to books. Smart, knowledgeable people care more about the materials they consume than just how it entertains them. This is actually what separates average writers from good writers. The reason Chimamanda is so successful owes a lot to how well she explores culturally relevant themes. If I met someone who when I asked what they thought about Chimamanda's Americanah and all they said was that it was very entertaining, I wouldn't have a high opinion of such person.

Please it's okay bikonu.

Fact is the feminist agenda talk would never end but it's a bit tiring. But yet no rebuttals to Blockdock90 's assertion.

Moving forward: Please as Jamie said Cersei wasn't telling lies about her pregnancy, does it mean the witch she met in Season 5 or so was wrong? (The witch said she'll have 3 kids, Gold would be their crowns and gold would be....).

Could GOT play with or forget such details?
Or has she double fooled Jamie?
If she dies before she gives birth or miscarries the pregnancy, then the prophecy will still hold true.

What lots of people do not realise is that after the character Arya lost her virginity, thousands of young girls who have idolized Arya since the beginning of the show will also be eager to lose theirs in similar manner. It's basic human psychology. Humans tend to imitate the actions of people they admire and since the brains of humans can't really differentiate between a character and the actor playing the role this makes it even more likely. Hence why I'm skeptical of the intentions of the writers for including that scene and directing it the way they did.

I find it funny how people say: Just watch the show for entertainment and stop pointing out stupid shit. These people don't have an iota of an idea about how movies and shows shape human behavior, especially that of young people. This isn't even debatable. It's a known fact in the fields of psychology and social science. And there have been few examples in recent times. In the movie The Program, there was a scene where a character was lying down on a yellow line in the middle of the road while cars drove past him at the sides. It served as a test of bravery. Then other characters joined him. After the movie was released there were cases of people dying and getting injured because they were trying to imitate what they saw the characters do in the movie. There is also the example of how the movie Deer Hunter inspired lots of people to play the deadly game of Russian Roulette because characters in the movie played the game.

Saying a movie is to be watched just for the entertainment value is just like saying a book should be read just for entertainment. I mean, that's what you'd expect a child to say, but an adult? Really? So a person should read Animal Farm just for entertainment and ignore the fact that the book was highlighting the flaws of the communist ideology? Similarly, so I should just watch GOT solely for entertainment purposes and ignore its glaring themes?

Give me a break!
GOT is a show with lots of nudity, sex, strong language and violence, so it goes without saying that this show is not suitable for young audienceS. The "little girls" you cited in your epistle are in no position to be watching game of thrones and if you as a parent allow your underage child to watch it, then you have failed as a parent.

Wait oh, Tyrion seems to be on a streak. A streak of giving bad advise.
For a wise man, his advise has been very shitty lately.
As it stands now, Danny will never be able to take kings landing after the war because Cerci is more than prepared for her.

I've been team Sansa all along and I've defended most of what she has done, but Sansa is not nearly as smart as she thinks.

Danny is her Queen and she went out of her way to try and mend the bridge between them, yet Sansa keeps giving her a cold shoulder and for what?
Sansa seems so intent on having an independent north even when they can't protect their independence. As it stands now, when / if Danny ascends to the throne, the north has the most to gain because her children will be part Stark and also having a Jon by her side when she rules the 7 Kingdom would be in their best interest.
On the flip side, the stand nothing to gain by being independent. They can't win a war against Danny and the most certainly cannot win a war against Cerci so you would think that sansa would use her sense to decipher that independence won't favour them at the moment. But, trust her to feel woke and run her mouth.
TV/Movies › Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by Gmajor(m): 9:44pm On Apr 24, 2019
Jon Snow has absolutely no sense of timing. What made him think that this was the right time to tell Danny about his claim on the Iron throne?
And to make matters worse he says it in a tone that suggests that even though he has not made up his mind, he may want to take his rightful place. Like seriously?

But on a light note, I would have liked to see Danny shove her hand into a fire and say, "if you are truly a Targaryn, then fire can't burn you, so put your hand in the flame". I know it's not all Targaryns that are immune to fire but I'm sure that will dissuade him from having any thoughts of calling himself a Targaryn.

Funniest line in this episode: men are easily manipulated.

I nearly laughed my ass off when Sansa made this statement.
Sansa of all people is saying men are easily manipulated? If so, how many has she been able to manipulate?
She was betrothed once, sold once and got married twice and yet, she had no effect on the lives of those men (by way of manipulation) so why would she even say that?
If it was Cerci or Margery or Danny who made that statement, it would have been understandable.

I think Jon snow should forfeit any claim he has of the throne. Moreover if he should tell Danny that it was Sam that gave him the information about his real parents, she will just think that he is felling hurt about the death of his parents.
