Yonce: If Valyrian steel can harm Nk. . . .why can't Dragon fire. I mean Valyrian steel is special cause it's forged in the breath of Dragon fire so. . .?
Dude was struck at the same spot the COF inserted dragon glass to create him.
DP84: Not necessarily, at the emboldened. I think you should understand why 'it had to be Valyrian Steel' and not even Dragon Glass or just any metal.
Valyrian Steel are supposedly forged with Dragon Fire, according to legend. Every Valyrian Steel is said to contain magic spells, giving it magical characteristics. Besides, most typical swords can comfortably pierce through armours, depending on how it is forged, the type of armour and all.
So regardless of how huge or little the steel is, it still carries the same power as the other forged Valyrian Steel. One could even argue that the Night King's knowledge of Jon being in possession of the Steel was what made him reanimate fresh bodies in order to defending himself. The Night King saw the power of the steel in the previous season.
The steel is not just rare because Valyria not longer existed. The argument would be the number of Dragons available, spell casters to fuse the spell and the Dragon fire in order to forge to steel.
An armour wouldn't have been able to stop the power of the steel.
You shouldn't have answered the guy. Dude just speaks irrelevantly.
Akinya17: At that point, Jon was frustrated. He knew Bran was in serious danger and he needed to get to him while the dragon was frustrating him. He simply stood up and screamed.
Endy10: Go watch that part again. They didn't mean that was the only way to kill the Night king. What they mean was poetic ending. That he just had to die the way he was created...Stabbed at that exact spot. I don't know the name the literature guys give that, but I know it's called something
Funaki: is this the end of the fight with the dead? what about the trailer that showed Jon, Sansa and Arya in the crypt with their already erected statues?
TVSA: I'm surprised how people didn't see the valor of Beric, Sandor, Jorah, Theon and Jon when he was ready to fight the night king one on one. People will always see what they want to see
She will be surely be smiling.... Her enemies have been decimated by as much as 60% or more....
If it gets to a war, she will surely win
60%? My guts say 80%.... The dragons are the advantage now and the confidence as well. The soldiers that would be marching against Cersei's mercenaries just fought death so trust me they would be brimming of confidence.
As at S08e03 which we have just seen, If Bran Stark had died when Jaime Lannister pushed him in S01e01 would anything have turned out differently? Is there any significant part of the story so far that would have played out differently? Other than helping Sam figure out Jon's parentage what else would have been different?
Any takers?
- The dagger would not have been in place hence Tyrion would not have been arrested by Cat which led to Ned being attacked by Jaime which led to War of the 5 kings. All these brought us to where we are
- Another angle is there would not have been a new 3ER after the former died and NK wouldn't have marked Bran so he wouldn't have crossed the Wall hence he would still be alive.
Conclusion, almost every events in S1 led us to where we are now. And yes Bran Stark's life played a major part in GOT
Endy10: Thank God. Someone watched till the End That's to show the level of thinking put into GOT. Most of the scenes we are watching now were written years back. I dWethink the writers do 'spur of the moment's writing. Every scene we watch has been properly planned out and there is always a story...a reason behind it.
Guys, you should check out the BTS of Episode 3 and maybe it will change your perspective about how you should be critical of those working behind the scenes. This people worked their asses out
It is 40 mins long and the 720p is around 250MB, 360p 120MB abd there is a third lower version.
Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) is a funny character. Maisie Williams (Arya) is such a great actress... She acted most of her shots
Concerning how the NK died, one of the producers avoided to drop a spoiler which I believe will still be in play as the season continues. That dagger was meant to kill Bran at the beginning of the show but it saved Bran towards the end and Samwell found that dagger is a book while he was in the Citadel
newsheriffintown: You guys failed to understand that the NK was killed by more than one god
god of light=Mellisandre motivated the god of many face
god of many face =Arya
god of werewoods= prepared the place
And the new gods
Note : since the beginning of the show ,the gods have never agree on anything let alone work together ,there worshippers always waiting for an opportunity to kill each other,BUt on the last day they work together ,motivated the other and defeated the NK
What do the god of light say to the god of death ,not today
This a lesson for our religious leaders to follow ,WORLD PEACE can only be achieve if the Christians ,Muslims, JEWS ,Hindi etc come together as ONE BODY to fight together if not on judgement day will cannot defeat our own NK SATAN THE DEVIL
Yonce: Let's not forget how Valyrian swords are forged in the breath of Dragon fire. . . How Dragon glass kill wights. . . . But the night king is somehow immune to Dragon fire.
And killed by Valyrian steel... Guess NK is immune to fire.
Best characters this episode (my opinion, before you all start burning me with dragon fire)
Greyworm(and the unsullied), Arya and Melisandre - 100% This trio shaped this episode. Now, I believe The Unsullied are the best army in the series. Greyworm was heroic. Arya was glorious all through. Peeps can joke about Melisandre lighting the scenes but the battle wouldn't have been won if not for her.
Theon, Ser Jorah and Lady Mormont - 97%. Why did I not score Theon 100....... grrrr... I don't knw, probably cos of the way he ended it. He was marvelous and his redemption is finally complete. Jorah the Andal gave an epic performance almost without blemish(only hiccup was charging those Dothraki to death - arguable tho). Lady Mormont's bravery cannot be over emphasized, it's only a pity that we won't get to see her again and the last memory we'll have of her is turning to a wight
Beric 90% The Lord of Light(TLOL) has been bringing him back to save Arya(slayer of NK) and he did just that perfectly. Now he'll be with Thoros together with TLOL drinking from an undrying casks of wine
Drogon, Viserion and Rhaegon 85% - They gave us an epic battle (we finally saw the dragons dance) and light up the scenes. Shotout to Viserion's tenacity and blue flame(me likey ). Drogon's ability to weave NK's javelin-like spear is still impeccable.
Tormund, Jaime, Ser Briene, Podrick, Gendry, Dolorous Edd - 80% These bunch are the foot soldiers fighting the zombies and they all happen not to die cos of plot armor except for Edd(Now his watch has ended)
Hound 75%- Dude should have been up with the 80% but he got scared like a sissy. Yeah, we can say he's scared of fire but he wasn't scared of Beric's flaming sword when they were trying to save Arya.
Night king, Daenerys and Jon Snow 60% - These characters were supposed to be the heroes and villains of this battle but I guess dragons made them weak. Their highlights are: NK raising up the dead soldiers to fight Jon; Daenerys lit some zombies asses and Jon tried to kill NK and killed some wights along the line.
Bran Ghost Samwell Tyrion Sansa Ser Davos Dothrakis and Varys- no rating. They had nothing to do for them to be rated. Bran only warged to go see if there are people having sex; Ghost only ran with the Dothraki never to be back; Sam, only thing he did was get Edd killed, Tyrion was only in this episode to drink and toast his ex wife; Sansa was Sansa, Ser Davos' only action was to wave two flaming sticks(wait, how did he escape sef. Where did he hide) and the only thing the Dothraki did was to scream to whimper with their flaming arakhs. All Varys said in this episode was just 'At least we are down in the crypts', it got to a point that I thought his tongue had been cut off.
The two highlight moments for me was:
1. Dothrakis charging with their flaming swords.. The sight was epic
2. Arya killing a female wight that snuck up on her, my heart was in my mouth at that moment
ORIJIN201: An Indian politician once said, "there are thousands of teashops in India, and an average tea seller knows how the govt should be run, same with the cobblers and all that don't know how the govt should be run, and you find out the tea seller is terrible at making tea, but criticizes a govt on how the state should be run."
I've seen more than criticizing here. I've seen lack of respect for people's hard work. I've seen people insult the cast and writers here. Shove your criticism in your arse if that's what you lots call criticism.
Magnifico2000: I get your point quite alright and I salute your intelligence. But there is something called CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. Most of the viewers criticising some aspects of the show is because it didn't happen the way they want it to happen. Some of them criticise who does what and why should it be like that. Criticisms Should be objective but not making it sound as if you know more than the producers of the show.
I share your opinion of without criticism no development but it should be objective.
Now back to your analogy of buying a car built by an engineer with some defect parts YOU DONT LIKE. I like the fact that you said "YOU DONT LIKE" . The fact that you don't like it doesn't mean someone else won't like it depending on what you really want in a car.
My opinion tho.
You shall live long.... You just saved me 3 mins of typing
GRIMMJOE: Stereotype bro, they want Jon to be saved by a female character in the last minute...All is left is to give him a skirt, because he's literally been saved by all the female characters in this show, even bad actress Sansa
philfearon: This one, i dont know... Maybe he has probably lost hope and wanted the dragon to end it all... Who knows. But that scene is not a scene to worry about really... I know say you too like Jon Snow!
Eberex: I get your point, but at the same time the dragon was targeting Jon and never gave him a chance even for a second. I think at that time when John came out and stood in front, he was like "i no longer give a Bleep, rain fire on me and let us get this done once and for all"
philfearon: No, you are misunderstanding the scene... At that moment Jon was facing Dragon head on and it was brewing fire, the NK was also on the verge of trying to draw his sword to kill Bran... It's the moment in movies that gets your adrenaline pumping as if all hope is lost... And then the sneak attack from Arya happens!
Yeah, I get you. My point is: But why did Jon stand up when he was perfectly hiding behind that wall and now face the dragon shouting. Will his shout destroy the dragon?
GRIMMJOE: How can you SHUT the eyes of a night walker they dead already, bro your just dumb or trying too hard to be. She was like hello night walker, stay still while I rip your face off l,lol
BRAINZBox: They should give some of you, Biro, paper and camera to go write and produce your own show.
Or, you want the producers to call you and start explaining everything to you... Nansense...
For a movie with dragons, zombies, etc you want it to be scientifically and physically explained how Arya got to the night king abi...
Why did you not ask how 'Hagar got Arya's face and made her blind ?
Why did you not ask how Pryan Pree (magician at Qarth) killed 12 person (or so) at the same time using the same face... Or his many other unexplained tricks....
Then if you can explain "Red witch's" shadow baby"...
The produces will contact you and explain how Arya got to the NK....
Just imagine, na even Nollywood siblings they talk rubbish here.....
