KNOW WHERE YOU BELONG Life is too short working the wrong jobs. Especially those that do not apply to your natural and unique abilities, core strenghts, and untold potentials. THERE’S A STORY I ALWAYS LOVE TO SHARE with my audience each time I’m honored to speak at an engagement on choosing a career path. It’s a story of a competition between a dolphin and a monkey. They were both asked to come and showcase what they know how best to do for a fat pay. So, the moderator gave the game rules for both competitors. Dolphin was the first to display what he’s got. In no time, the game began. So, dolphin started out to show everyone his wonderful diving skills as he dives through the waters at one side and emerging at the other side. Everyone was thrilled at his skills, with a resounding applause. In a short while, it was monkey’s turn. “Mr. Monkey, it’s your turn to show us what you’ve got!” the moderator asked. Without much ado, monkey was already on the tree. Monkey was spinning with style from one tree to another, with one hand holding the tree branches and his tail dangling and wiggling. Everyone watched with amazement and got so dumbfounded at the skills with which monkey was swapping from one tree to another. In less than five minutes, monkey had gone round the forest of about hundreds of trees across the river bank. No doubt, everyone was thrilled and astonished at the skills both the dolphin and monkey displayed while they were doing what they enjoy doing the most. Again, the moderator stepped in to announce the second stage. This time, he asked that monkey would exchange role with dolphin. That is, monkey would come down from the trees, and jump into the waters like dolphin did in the first stage. For a moment, monkey thought to himself; “What competition type is this? But I sure will apply the same skill with which I jumped the trees.” With a resounding shout from the spectators, monkey jumped into the waters, and for the first five minutes, monkey was nowhere to be found. As the spectators watched, the resounding shout went drastically down like an electric current that had just lost stability. “What could have happened?” The spectators began to murmur. And now, their anxiety was raised. There was a sudden calm as they all watched with dismay. A few minutes later, monkey raised up his head in a struggle to prevent his mouth from being filled with water. To cut the long story short, monkey was rescued from drowning completely. Now, dolphin was afraid to step out of the water body, knowing fully well that he was going to mess up. Nevertheless, he mustered courage. The moment dolphin jumped out of the water body, he began to struggle, as he gasped for oxygen. The once excited spectators became so disappointed because they had expected dolphin to perform excellently as he had performed in the first stage of the competition. But to their dismay, dolphin too could not make it. You see friend, this is how many people struggle when they attempt working the wrong jobs without first considering their area of strengths, unique abilities, and untold potentials. Everyone has got a role to play in life according to life-design. As a social being, when man remains and abides in his domain-his area of strength, passion, natural talent, and gift by design, he cannot but be celebrated. People are always amazed at the way he/she does his things. People would want to identify with him/her. But the moment S/he shifts away from his/her natural abilities, S/he naturally begins to struggle like a fish taken out of waters! #TheCareerCompass #BookExcerpt http://okadabooks.com/book/about/the_career_compass_foretaste/14657#.WVVkq3r10QY |

One thing is certain: and that's the fact that you can not remain an employee forever (in case you're one). And when the time comes to let go of that position, what next? At the end; Would you say that's all there is to your life? Would you be glad with the results you've achieved? Would you be fulfilled that you have lived your life not only for salary, but, making impact in many lives? I smile when people talk about retirement. What many people call retirement today is simply a change of vocation and location, after spending years on one they were never fulfilled with. Nobody wants to retire from what actually fulfils him or her. Do you have the luxury of time to read the story below? “I’m 28 years old and these days I feel like I’m floating in the middle of the ocean with nothing to grasp onto and no shoreline in sight. I’m just treading water trying to stay alive. I’m fortunate enough to be born into a situation where I have a supportive family, I was able to graduate college with an engineering degree, and I have a good job with benefits. On the surface my life looks great, but I feel a sense of hopelessness when I think about my life’s purpose. I know I’m privileged in comparison to most of the people in this world, but it’s mostly material privilege. How can I have so much of my life figured out and still feel as if there is just no point to any of it? Is this all there is to my life? Do I have another 40 years of my life or so of paying bills and then a cold hole in the ground to look forward to? I know in my mind that I should be thankful for all I have at my age, but I just can’t seem to shake the feeling that I’m wasting it all as a worker bee. I’ll put a smile on my face, brush my teeth in the morning, and continue going to work, but what can I do to shake this feeling of no direction, no purpose, and no real human experience? Please help. — I’m lost in my mind.” - Anonymous The story you just read clearly validates the fact that a man who hasn’t discovered himself yet or the purpose for his existence; that no matter how engaged he is in activities, though profitable, will NEVER find meaning for his life. https://sharingwithmartins..com/2018/07/why-you-must-discover-you-and-find.html?m=1 |

INSIDE YOUR #PURPOSE, LIES YOUR #GREATNESS, #WEALTH AND #HONOR! What Good Are You Doing With Your Life? Dear Reader, May I Ask, How Convenient Is It For a Fish To Stay Outside Water Bodies. I Must Confess, There's No Adventure That Is As Exciting As Living Your Purpose.. ( Ask: Pope, Don Moen, Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen , Bsh. David Oyedepo. If you are unable to see the message below, click here to view. Today’s Scripture“Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (Matthew 6:27, NIV)SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDSRefuse to Worry Are you worrying about something? To worry means to allow something to revolve in your mind over and over again. God doesn’t want you to live worried or anxious about anything. He knows that worry steals your peace and joy. It affects every area of your life. Have you heard the saying, “Don’t worry yourself sick?” That’s because worrying affects your physical body. It affects your sleep. You won’t ever gain anything by worrying; in fact, you’ll lose precious moments that you can never get back again. The good news is that God has promised that you can have victory over worry. It starts by making the choice to trust in Him. When you cast your cares on Him, He will give you His peace. Today, put an end to worry in your life. Choose to feed your faith and fill your mind with God’s promises. As you focus on God’s Word, you’ll drive out worry and fill your heart with faith and expectancy to overcome in every area of life! A Prayer for Today“Father, today I put an end to worry in my life. I choose to feed my faith by studying Your promises and declaring Your Word over me. Help me to totally trust in You today and every day in Jesus’ name. Amen.” Ensure to lighten up somebody's mood today as you share... http://sharingwithmartins..com.ng/ |
The Secret Story Of The Week Never Give Up! By Carrie, from Indiana, USA I have known about The Secret since 2006 when I first watched the movie. I immediately told all my closest family and friends about it and decided that this way of thinking fit best into my life. I have always been a positive, uplifting person but in the years before I watched the video I suffered through a lot of trauma. Bad relationships, a divorce, a business loss, job loss and money issues. I felt like I was on a hamster wheel and felt helpless on getting off. After going through the ups and downs of the last 6 years I decided enough was enough and to revisit The Secret and absorb all the other books and DVD's that Rhonda Byrne wrote and other authors as well. I completely worked on my mind and I started to dream again about all the possibilities that I knew existed for me. I would play her DVD's all the time and write and...read more http://sharingwithmartins..com.ng/ |

"I have just finished reading a fascinating approach to the human mind, written by Martins Sorinola. While the book is aimed at making the most use of your mind in conjunction with a healthy relationship with God, the knowledge within its pages can just as easily be applied by anyone, regardless of faith or educational foundations, to any of life’s many challenging situations. The philosophy Mr. Sorinola promotes is sophisticated and astonishing, given the fact that this is a young man writing. There is a great deal of common sense wisdom and practical advice in Your Mind: Your Greatest Asset. The book could be easily applied as a study guide or as a subject for group discussions, as well as a reminder to the reader that the complete use of all of your mental faculties must be constantly employed if we are to get the most out of the life that God has given to us to enjoy day by day. It is a great achievement and I suspect it will be well received upon publication." -Norfleet Griffin Caretaker & Novelist Bozeman, Montana, USA Check it out here...http://sharingwithmartins..com.ng/ |
Success is attained by following through on certain good habits for a while until you reap the fruits. Bad habits slow down the rate at which you attain success. Procrastination occurs when your tasks coincide with your bad habits. Procrastination is a parasite and it can hinder you from achieving your goals. In order to stop a bad habit, you have to replace it with another habit, preferably a good habit. A good way to replace the bad habits is to create a routine for your daily activities. Project managers achieve their goals by planning and executing their plans. This eliminates waste of resources and time. Project Management Institute (PMI) have a methodology that helps project managers achieve this goal. In this article I will explain how you can use this methodology to stop procrastination and create a better life for yourself. 1. Initiate: Every morning when you initiate your day, little quick tasks can help you start a productive day. Tasks such as making your bed, praying, meditating, exercising can give you a sense of purpose for the day. Completing any of these would mean completing your first task of the day and you automatically get a sense of accomplishment. It put you in the right state of mind to achieve goals you set for that day. 2. Planning: After your first task of the day, it is important that you plan out your day. Write out things you plan to do for the day and goals you plan to achieve for the day. Ensure that you write them down because if you just think of them there will be no sense of commitment. Have a book where you write out plans for each day. This way you are able to set your priorities for the day. 3. Execute: Execute each task in your plan and tick them as you complete each task. As you tick the accomplished tasks, you will feel a sense of satisfaction. You will be able to do what is most important to you each day. WATCH: #AskStella – How To Increase Personal Effectiveness 4. Monitor and Control: While you day is going smoothly with your plans being executed, once in a while you should go over your plans and make changes where necessary, adding new tasks and removing less important tasks. No plan is meant to be static. Make changes to the plans as ...read more here http://sharingwithmartins..com.ng/ |
PUTTING WATER IN THE POT AS COMMANDED BY JESUS WILL ALWAYS BRING THE WINE YOU & I DESIRE. Your Obedience and my obedience to always putting 'WATER' in the pot as instructed by Jesus in John Chapter Two Verse Seven (John 2:7), will always bring the 'WINE' that You and I Desire. Why? As narrated in John Chapter Two (John 2), the marriage in Cana of Galilee, where Mary, Jesus, and His Disciples were invited and the Hosts ran out of wine, Mary, the Mother of Jesus interceded, saying to Jesus..." They have no wine"...knowing fully well what Jesus is Capable of doing. Yet, Jesus said, "Woman, what have I to do with thee? Mine hour is not yet come...( John2:4). But what did Mary do? She told the caterers at the wedding- "See, whatever He tells you to do, Just do it!" ( John 2:5) Paraphrased. Then Jesus asked them to fill the water pots with water, and they filled it to the brim* Well, the caterers could have said, "Didn't this man hear that it is wine we are looking for, how come He is asking us to fill the pots with water? Yet, they refused to rationalize the instruction Jesus gave them. They only obeyed and what happened next? This water-made-wine was drawn out to be given to the governor of the feast and the governor confirmed the 'water' to have tasted really good as the best wine ever reserved for them at the feast. BONE OF CONTENTION 1. WHY DID MARY INTERCED FOR THE HOSTS WHOSE FEAST THEY WERE IN ATTENDANCE? Ans- To save them from an open shame of not being able to cater for their invitees. 2. WHY DID THE CATERES NOT RATIONALIZE WITH JESUS WHEN HE ASKED THEM TO FILL THE POTS WITH WATER WHEN THEY ACTUALLY NEEDED WINE? Ans- Because they needed the Wine Badly or Urgently 3. WHAT MADE THE WINE AVAILABLE? Ans- The Careers' Obedience To Jesus' Instruction To Filling The Pots With Water, Even Though They Were Looking For Wine. SUMMARY 'Wine' in the above context, connotes whatever good thing that You and I desire in Life, and 'Water' on the other side, Connotes What God Wants Us To Do Through Jesus So We Can See The 'Wine' That We Are Looking For. Thus, if there be any 'Wine' that you desire of Jesus in order not to be ashamed openly in your endeavours, then you must be ready to always putting the 'Water' in the pot as Jesus commanded the caterers in John 2:7. Until you put the ' Water ' in the pot, your 'Wine' is not in view- which means, shame is inevitable. In the same vein, until You and I Obey the instructions of God through Jesus by doing whatsoever He asks us to do ( No Matter How Foolish It May Look), Our desires is not in view. Nevertheless, there are so many pots in the scriptures that are yet to be filled with 'water' for our wine to be made available...For Instances...Just to mention a few in the scriptures... POT 1 Proverbs 28:27 (KJV) Says..."He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse" POT 2 Proverbs 28:13 (KJV) Says... He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. POT 3 Exodus 23:22 (KJV) Says...But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. POT 4 Deuteronomy 28:1-8 (KJV) Says... And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. POT 5 Matthew 6:25-26, 31-33 (KJV) , Jesus says, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. POT 6 Joshua 1:8 (KJV) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. POT 7 Deuteronomy 29:9 (KJV) Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do. POT 8 Joshua 1:8 (KJV) This book of the law (The Bible) shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Thus, if only you will care to obey Jesus' commands according to scriptures, you'll have more than enough wine to enjoy! Jesus Is Lord!!! Sorinola O. Until purpose meets with value, abuse is inevitable. There’s so much value loaded inside every human mind. The mind is ultimately the most powerful instrument since the world began and it operates by the ‘Law of Cause and Effect’. Not only out of it are the issues of life, out of it too are the solutions to every life problem. Through the appropriate use of one’s mind, one can produce the change that one desires. For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Therefore, there is no room for a complainer in a universe of law. What is it in the world today that is not traceable to the mind? Many great human accomplishments today are traceable to it. We can see ...read more http://sharingwithmartins..com.ng/ |
Making money while you sleep. Has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? David Bailey said “To get rich, you have to be making money while you’re asleep.” After reading books like “Rich Dad Poor Dad” and “4 Hour Work Week,” I became obsessed with making passive income. Whenever someone needs additional income, the stereotypical suggestion offered is to “get a part-time job.” But what if you don’t have the time or energy to put in all those extra hours? I know I didn’t. Plus that wasn’t as appealing as making money while I was trading time for money. For that, you may need some passive income ideas — ways to make money with little investment of time and effort on your part. Here’s a list of quite a few passive income ideas, so it’s likely that you’ll be able to find at least two or three that will work in your situation. Earn interest on safe investments. 1. Try out index funds. Index funds provide you with a way to invest in the stock market that is completely passive. For example, if you invest money in an index fund that is based on the S&P 500 Index, you will be invested in the general market, without having to concern yourself with choosing investments, rebalancing your portfolio, or knowing when to sell or buy individual companies. All that will be handled by the fund which will base the fund portfolio on the makeup of the underlying index. You are also free to choose a fund that is based on any index that you want. For example, there are index funds set up for just about every market sector there is — energy, precious metals, banking, emerging markets — you name it. All you have to do is decide that you want to participate, then contribute money and sit back and relax. Your stock portfolio will then be on automatic pilot. Tap into YouTube. 2. Make YouTube videos. This is a venture that is growing rapidly. You can create videos in just about any area that you like — music, tutorials, opinions, comedy, movie reviews — anything you want . . . then put them on YouTube. You can then attach Google AdSense to the videos, which will overlay your videos with automatic ads. When viewers click on those ads, you will earn money from AdSense. The keys will be to create compelling videos, to promote those videos on social media websites, and to create enough of them that your income will be coming from multiple sources. There’s a good bit of work that goes into creating videos, but once a video is done it can become a completely passive cash flow source for a very long time. Don’t think you can find success with YouTube? You sure can. Emily Eddington used her love for makeup and YouTube to quit her full-time job. She has received over 66 million views on YouTube. This former morning news anchor took her passion — makeup — and turned it into a phenomenal success. 3. Try affiliate marketing and make sales. This is a passive income technique that is better suited to people who have blogs and active websites. You can sign up to promote certain products or services on your site, for which you will be paid either a flat fee or a percentage of the amount of the sale completed. This isn’t as hard to do as you might think, since there are thousands of companies in the world who want to sell their products in as many places as they can. You can find affiliate offers either by contacting vendors directly, or on dedicated websites, such as ClickBank. It’s always best if the product or service is one that you are either very interested in or is highly relevant to your website. Convert your photography into income. 4. Put your photography to work on the web. Do you like photography? If you do, you may be able to convert it into a passive income source. Photography websites such as Shutterstock and iStockphoto can provide you with platforms to sell your photos. They may offer either a percentage or a flat fee of each photo that is sold to a site client. In this way, a single photo could represent a cash flow source since it can be sold again and again. You simply need to create your photo portfolio, put it on one or more photo platforms, and then the activity becomes completely passive. All the technicalities of the photo sales are handled through the web platform. And yes, that’s me in a stock photo you can purchase from iStockPhoto.com. My good is a photographer and has uploaded a few hundred photos to their platform and makes a good residual income from it. 5. Purchase high dividend stocks. By building a portfolio of high dividend stocks, you can create regular passive income at an annual rate that is much higher than what you get on bank investments. Just as important, since high dividend stocks are stocks, there is always the potential for capital appreciation. In that way, you can earn passive income from two sources — dividends and capital gains. You will need a brokerage account to purchase these stocks and complete the research needed. Joe Raedle/Getty Images Every time you swipe your credit card you can get cash back. 6. Write an ebook. This can be a lot of work upfront, but once the ebook is created and marketed it can provide you with a passive revenue stream for years. You can either sell the ebook on your own website or offer it as an affiliate arrangement with other websites that provide content related to your ebook. 7. Get cash-back rewards on credit cards. There are credit cards that provide cash-back rewards ranging anywhere from 1% to 5% of the amount purchased. You’re going to be out shopping and buying anyway, right? Rewards will give you an opportunity to earn some passive “income” (in the form of reduced outgo) from doing what you would do anyway. We recently started being mindful of collecting reward points on our cards especially since we like to travel. In the past year we’ve been able to use our reward points to pay for 9 round trip flights and few nights in a hotel. Now that’s what I’m talking about! You can sell pretty much any product or service online. 8. Sell your own products on the internet. The possibilities here are endless — you can sell just about any product or service that you like. It could be a product you have created and can manufacture on your own or it could be digital in nature (such as software, DVDs, Read more http://sharingwithmartins..com.ng/search?updated-max=2016-02-10T19:32:00Z&max-results=6 |
HOW DREAM BOARDS CAN HELP Using a Dreamboard (vision board) will habituate an “inner seeing” of your desires. CEOs, athletes, and others create dream (or vision) boards to focus on their dreams and goals. As Olympic athletes run their event in their mind, their muscles physically fire in sequence in response. The mind can’t distinguish reality from practice! Thoughts become things. The mind produces a result in the physical realm. Pay attention to your feelings because they reveal your thoughts. If you’re feeling good, you’re attracting good. Keep doing what you’re doing. Your future is on track with what you desire. When negativity does hit, gently replace it with gratitude for what you have now and the good things coming. Take a few minutes to work with your dream board. Take a break to do something that will bring you simple joy - either for yourself or “pay it forward” for another. Remember: “What you think about and thank about you bring about!” Read more=======> http://sharingwithmartins..com.ng/ |

If you make a lot of money in your current job and you’re not sure that you can make a similar amount by selling products online, think again. A while back, I interviewed Steve Chou from MyWifeQuitHerJob.com. In our podcast interview, Steve explained how his wife quit her job to become a stay-at-home mom. As the old adage goes — you make your money when you buy! Another benefit of investing in rental properties is the loan pay down. If you obtain a loan to buy the property, each month your tenants are paying off part of the loan. Once the mortgage on the property has been paid off, your cash flow will increase dramatically, allowing your mediocre investment to skyrocket into a full-fledged retirement program. It wouldn’t take many paid-off properties to provide a pretty great, and mostly-passive, future for you and your family.
