Ziggy Exponent Master At it again! I wonder what the person behind this story is up to? Can IG Extradite drug pushers? Capital NO! The story teller should wake up and find something doing. Though, Some people will never be for you. SPBK sir, treat them with respect, while you realize that you don’t need them to fulfill your destiny. |
SOUTHWEST PDP: WHERE 'CLOWNS', 'RAGAMUFFINS' AND 'BASTARDS' LEAD THE WAY Weeks back, some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South West led by the National Vice-Chairman, Chief Makanjuola Ogundipe, paid a visit to the national leadership of the party in Abuja and proclaimed that the North should retain the National Chairmanship position. At the time of the visit, such a campaign was unpopular at least among some chieftains of the party in the South West. Notable among the anti-North group were Chief Olabode George, Chief Ebenezer Babatope and Dr. Doyin Okupe. Even Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose, is on record as being one of the earliest proponents of the South West producing the National Chairman of the party. They said they wanted the position to be zoned to the South-West because the zone has not occupied the position since the creation of the party 18 years ago. But the South West delegation, which comprised of the Senator representing Ogun East in the National Assembly, Senator Buruji Kashamu and other well-meaning leaders, who mooted the idea of the North retaining the Chairmanship position, said the party risked being reduced to a regional party if the National Chairman is picked from the South. They said the party was already strong in the South, with 10 governors; two of whom are from the South West, as against the whole of the North which has just two PDP governors. No sooner had they stated their position than they were called “clowns”, “ragamuffins” and “bastards” by the likes of Okupe, George and Babatope. The Bode George group met in Lagos a couple of weeks ago where they threatened fire and brimstone if the South West is denied the National Chairmanship position. They called another meeting in Akure, the Ondo State capital, last Wednesday, where they were supposed to reinforce their position. This was in spite of the fact that the zoning committee set up by the National Working Committee (NWC) on the recommendation of the National Executive Committee (NEC) had zoned the National Chairmanship position to the North and the North-East, in particular. But the principled position, sound arguments and robust campaign mounted by the South West zonal executive of the party, with the able support of Senator Kashamu, that the National Chairmanship position should remain in the North seems to have carried the day. The Akure meeting, which was meant to reinforce the George group's campaign or stance for the South West to get the National Chairmanship position, was subdued and forced to align with what the Kashamu/Ogundipe group has been championing since February or so. Political pundits are of the view that those who gathered in Akure might have been forced by the political reality on ground to align with the pro-Northern group that met in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, same Wednesday. While the Akure meeting had more government functionaries and the two PDP governors in the zone in attendance, the Ijebu Igbo parley had more statutory delegates from across the six states of the zone in attendance. The Ijebu Igbo meeting had no less than three members of the Board of Trustees of the PDP, all the members of the Zonal Exco, members of the State Executive Committees in at least four of the six states of the South West, members of the National Assembly from Ogun, Oyo and Lagos states. Although those who met in Akure neither stated that they were in support of the North retaining the National Chairmanship position nor that they support of the candidacy of the incumbent National Chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, unlike the group that met in Ijebu Igbo, their muffled position on the National Chairmanship does seem a subtle endorsement or acceptance of the retention of the position in the North. What is more, their decision to set up a committee to equitably share the positions zoned to the South West, to wit, the National Secretary, National Auditor and the National Publicity Secretary, also reinforced this position. Now, the people who threatened that they will reconsider their membership of the PDP if the position does not come to the South West are now scheming to share the positions that have long been accepted and probably shared by those who aligned with Senator Kashamu/Ogundipe group. In a way, it could be safely said that anti-North group has been forced by obvious political realities that Kashamu and others saw ahead of them to accept the position of those they called ‘bastards’ and ‘ragamuffins’! The so-called ragamuffins and bastards have the foresight and the pragmatism that the so-called founding founders, free-born and those who call themselves omoluabi never had. However, the point of divergence between the Akure and Ijebu Igbo meetings is that while the Akure group also listed the Zonal Executive Committee as part of the positions to be shared, the Ijebu Igbo parley resolved that since members of the zonal executive came into office on the 11th of October, 2014, and they have a four-year tenure, their tenure will elapse on the 11th of October, 2018. How these issues will be resolved remain to be seen in the coming days and weeks. There is no doubt that as the May 21st 2016 National Convention of the PDP draws nearer, there will be more intrigues, subterfuge and scheming. But for now, it is safe to describe the South West PDP as a place or party where those who were called ‘clowns’, ‘bastards’ and ‘ragamuffins’ lead the way while others follow. |
My attention has been drawn to various reports and accounts about yesterday’s visit of a delegation of leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South West to the National Working Committee (NWC) of our great party, and wish to state as follows: · That my sincere appreciation goes to the National Chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and the respectable members of the NWC, for the warm reception they accorded us. · I also wish to thank members of the Zonal Executive Committee, which comprised of the Chairmen of the PDP in the six South West states, leaders and elders of the party in the South West, for being part of the delegation. · It has also become imperative for me to make a few clarifications. The first is that the visit was not done to choose or pronounce anyone as the leader of the PDP in the South West. Rather, it was to pledge our support for the Senator Ali Modu Sheriff-led NWC. All that happened on the occasion was fortuitous. It is also true that people like to have a rallying point, and if some of our leaders and elders see me as a rallying point because of my generosity and empowerments activities over the years, I do not see why anyone should lose sleep over it. Leaders emerge naturally. I also know that leadership comes with responsibility and I accept the responsibility. I appreciate all our party leaders and elders for the confidence reposed in me and will continue to appreciate them. However, it does not mean that I am the foremost or supreme leader of the PDP in the South West. I am just one of the leaders of the PDP in the South West. I do know that I have other superior leaders in the PDP Governors in the zone, Chief Olabode George, Chief Ebenezer Babatope, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun and other members of the National Caucus, Board of Trustees and the National Executive Committee (NEC), whom I respect and will always do. · On our proposal that the National Chairmanship of the party should remain in the North, I wish to state that it was the opinion of the delegation. We were and are still of the view that given the strong presence of the PDP in the South, with 10 governors out of 17 governors in the South and just two governors in the 19 states in the North, it would make more sense to leave the National Chairmanship of the party in the North, so as not to be branded a regional party. Our view does not foreclose any other opinion or suggestion. If some other persons have any other idea, they are at liberty to push it. At the end of the day, it is either superior argument wins or we go to the convention. For us, as true party men, whatever is best for our party and majority of the stakeholders is all we want. · On the report on the state of the party across the South West, we presented the report at the level of the South West PDP Committee on Organisation and Mobilisation, which has offices in the six states of the zone, in conjunction with the Zonal leadership of the party. Our suggestion was that party members should be reconciled across the zone, including in Ogun State. · We also wish to advise all the organs and structures of the party to consult and carry along other structures and stakeholders of the party in their decision-making processes. This would ensure that the party speaks with one voice and cohesion, going forward. · Thank you and God bless PDP. Signed Senator Buruji Kashamu Ogun East Senatorial District

I have been following the innuendos and insinuations on some of the loops by those who have turned themselves to enemies of the party and I cannot help but laugh at the tomfoolery. Alhaji Saula Adegunwa, Seun Adesanya (from Ijebu North East LGA) and Ajimajasan (from Ijebu Ode) decided to use one Chief Moyo Agoro (who has left the PDP for APC) and one Alhaji Taofik Oshundara to file Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/185/2016 today at the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court through Hon. Ladi Adebutu's lawyer,Ehi Uwaifoh, against the Ogun State PDP Exco in order for them not to conduct the coming congresses. The case cannot see the light of the day. It is dead on arrival. The reason being that the decision of the 69th NEC of PDP dated March 7, 2016 that "NEC after exhaustive deliberations approved the extension of the tenure of office of all organs of the party at all levels until the conduct of Congresses and National Convention. This is however with the exception of Edo and Ondo states". The decision was based on Article 31 (3) of the PDP constitution which states that "The decisions of the National Executive Committee shall be binding on all organs and members of the Party". Betrayers will always be betrayers. A leopard cannot change its spots. But, I pray that the almighty Allah will have mercy on them, open their eyes and show them the right way in order for them to achieve their ambitions as their ambitions can only be achieved in the right way. Congratulations to all our leaders, elders, genuine members and supporters of the party! SPBK

With gratitude to God for a life well spent, I formally announce the transition to glory of my beloved mother, Chief (Mrs) Abigail Efunseeke Adekoya. She passed to glory on Saturday, 20th February, 2016 having spent 36,016 days on earth (99 years). Born in July 1917, Mama lived through the two World Wars. She bore fourteen children of which two survived, my elder sister and I. A successful trader and community leader; she excelled as a bridge builder and advocate for broad-based community development. Her social work in Ago-Iwoye and its environs earned her accolades from within and outside her community. Mama’s experiences prepared her for a stoic approach to life and her mantra to her children was “Stand Firm and Fear not”. Beyond being active in community affairs, Mama was a prominent leader in Methodist Church Nigeria, Ago-Iwoye, Ijebu, Ogun State for which she was conferred with the title Iya-Ijo (Head of Women), Methodist Church Nigeria, Ago-Iwoye, Ijebu, Ogun State. Apart from her vivid reminisces of life during the Second World War, her humanitarian activities stood her in good stead all through her life. She was loved in equal measure by both her natural and adopted children. She went through thick and thin to see me through my education and major accomplishments in life. As far as my political career goes, Mama was one of my staunchest supporters and would diligently monitor the voting process up to the point of ballot sorting and counting. At 99 years old and inspite of her frail structure, Mama exercised her civic duty and voted in all the last five elections held in March/April 2015; she will regularly enquire if I have won. Such was her interest in my political career. So, while I am painfully announcing her demise, I am happily celebrating a woman of honour who was my backbone and strongest pillar of support all through the years. Details of burial arrangements will be formally communicated through invitation cards as soon as the family and the Cathedral conclude on the burial rites, but tentatively, a week-long burial ceremony has been slated in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State from May 9th - 14th, 2016. Please join my family and I in prayers as we plan a befitting funeral service for the glorious passage of Chief (Mrs.) Abigail Efunseeke Adekoya, Iya Ijo; YE ATTACKER. Posted by Dayo Rufai A federal Lawmaker representing Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun waterside federal cons tituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Abdel-Majid Adesegun Adekoya has embarked on massive support for religious organisations to enhance the spiritual wellbeing of his constituents. In his quest to make the second oldest church in Ijebu land, Ako Methodist Church to be an ultra- modern cathedral, he recently pulled down the old structure and mobilized the construction firm to commence work immediately. The church was first built in 1984 and the new structure is near completion now. Hon. Adekoya has also commenced the rebuilding of an abandoned mosque in Oni Ward 2 of Ogun Waterside Local Government Area. The information regarding the abandoned mosque was brought to his attention by one of his constituents in the said ward via a text message sent to his phone and he immediately swung into action by supplying bags of cement, loads of sharp sand, roofing materials and enough cash to complete the mosque. In the same vein, he has made provisions for construction work to commence on a Mosque in Mamu, Ward 11 in Ijebu North Local Government Area earlier this week. In his words, “These are just too important for me to do because I have chosen to be a vehicle for supporting spiritual development in my lifetime. As the Bible says “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.” I have resolved to always heed religion calls any day without hesitation especially when it has to do with building and revamping of religious structures. Those who know me very well will attest to the fact that over the years, I have always supported religious bodies in whatever capacity I can. I have successfully built a mosque and more are still at different stages of construction. I am committed to doing this as long as I live”. Members of the community expressed their appreciation through Alhaji Ogunade who spoke on behalf of the elders of the mosque, he showered prayers on the Federal Lawmaker and assured him of their physical and spiritual support always. Similarly, the same gesture was extended to women groups in Ijebu-Igbo today as he empowers over 50 women with cash donation of N25,000 each to support their businesses. The empowerment programme was done at the country home of Engr. Bayo Dayo, Ogun State PDP Chairman in Ijebu-Igbo. These women left with smiles on their faces and expressed appreciations for the generosity of the Honourable member. He said that continuous empowerment of women and positive engagement of the teeming youth are focal points in his plans for his people. http://ijebunewsxtra.com/news-around/federal-lawmaker-hon-adekoya-empowers-women-groups-rebuilds-mosques-churches/#more-3366 |

Right from the beginning, the Judgment lack integrity and the judges who did the hatchet job should remember that one day they will face serious panel of justice before Almighty Allah and I know quite alright that we are all subjects of God. Hmmmm, Nigerian where are we going under this Democracy military ruling in disguise under the leadership of PMB who is acting as if he was a saint while our Judiciary is Corrupt day by day. I can’t just know what APC LED GOVT wanted to turn this Nation to? if I may ask because our Judiciary is nothing to write home about. Well, I pray to Almighty Allah to intervene quickly. This Appellate Court should save this Nation by doing the right thing started from this Sen. Kashamu’s case. I rest my view for now. |
I can confirm to everybody that SPBK is good philanthropist to the core and also a bridge between the leaders and the followers in fact, he is man of integrity |
"wow!!!! what a story of a great man" . You mean this man u described up here exist in Nigeria? What a daft are you then? it appears his wealth seems too heavy for you to comprehend. Why not just approach him humbly to show you the path, or help your life, instead of concluding for him out of assumption.. yea.. "concluding out of assumption" is what best interpret this article. afyer a long time search and wondering of how he became that wealthy. |
NDLEA as a law enforcement agency in Nigeria is now turning itself to extradition enforcement agency with the way Ofoyeju as their spokesman is handling Senator Buruji Kashamu issue. It has been noted and cleared that UK court has exonerated Kashamu twice on this narcotic case even in the presence of US counsel and for over a decade US did not appeal. The case later surfaced via the powerful politicians who want to be disturbing and distracting Kashamu from attending to his philanthropic activities to humanity in his senatorial district, Ogun state and Southwest at large. Regarding this, NDLEA is not of Ofoyeju so he should becareful with his utterances and actions because Nigerians are keenly watching. Leave Kashamu alone is now the song of the masses . NDLEA should move to our markets and start arresting fake medical drug sellers and several streets are also full of India hemp peddlers, NDLEA should please do the needful by attending to what is necessary and stop chasing shadow via witch hunting Buruji……… ***leavekashamualone***. A country that takes its anti-drugs war seriously does not resort to trying suspected officials in a court of public hysteria. The anti-drugs agency would, instead, be quietly carrying out investigations and only speak publicly when they have enough evidence to successfully prosecute whoever was caught at the end of the day. In fact, PMB need to sponsors our NDLEA AGENCY to attend an "INTERNATIONAL INDUCTION COURSE" for them to know When and Where to acts whenever it is necessary. The way this case is going, I foresee With chanting/Vendettas and we must get you down at all cost syndrome coming from NDLEA STAFFS, I thought they said last time on this same Punch that they've already Appeal all the judgment against them including the one of Justice Kolawole of Abuja High Court which NDLEA initiated themselves and lost it gallantly. NDLEA, you cannot eat your food and still have it, pls leave this man called Senator Kashamu a lone and I also implore you to desist from Political Shenanigans. |
Despite lots of denigration by some malicious and disgruntled elements Senator Buruji Kashamu remained undeterred about his passion for emancipation of both young and old, especially those that are living in the core grassroot that had been forgotten by many other leaders. He sees the need to consistently empowers the less-privileged as service to God and he derives much passion in that. Apart from many impacts he had made to make a positive turn around in the lives of many people, he is questing further to effect more means to reach out to build more people to be productive citizens and be able to help themselves, families and society. Irrespective of what anyone is saying to pull him down, Senator Buruji Kashamu is unrepentantly passionate about improving people's life. The mischief makers are only enhancing the anger of the Lord for their evil engagement in tormenting the people's Senator. |
Governor Amosun returned and affirmed. Where is the hope of common man in a country where injustice is justice? That's Nigeria for you . |
Isiaka sues for peace, to study verdict Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka has appealed to his teeming supporters to remain calm and not to engage in any act of lawlessness. Reacting to the tribunal verdict that affirmed the election of Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Isiaka urged his supporters to respect the decision of the court and remain law abiding. He said, “I am appealing to all and sundry to respect the decision of the court. Though the verdict did not go the way that would have gladdens the heart of many people in the state, but as law abiding and responsible citizens, we are duty bound to respect the verdict. “We shall carefully study the judgement as soon as possible and will make public our next line of action. But my appeal goes to all our supporters and those that might have been disappointed with the judgement to remain calm, we still have many options available to us but that decision will be made very soon”. |
SENATOR KASHAMU’S POLITICAL STATURE: THREAT TO APC We read with dismay, in the dailies, the ranting of the APC, Ogun State chapter, over the NANS Award to Senator Buruji Kashamu the Senator representing the Ogun East Senatorial District, Ogun State. We concluded that its reaction is envious of the intimidating posture and wide frontier of Prince Buruji Kashamu in political sphere. The Peoples Democratic Party, Ogun State chapter has observed that some apologists and members of the APC had hitherto run foul their mouths on the award saga. The earlier critics, like the APC Ogun State Chapter , condemned NANS for given the Golden Man of the Year Award to Senator Kashamu describing it as a honour misplaced. For the avoidance of doubt, we are very proud of Senator Buruji Kashamu as one of our foremost leaders in the Party not limited to Ogun State but across South West, Nigeria. We appreciate his personality, mentoring, kindheartedness and philanthropy. We are very bold to say that Senator Buruji Kashamu enjoys the respect, love and goodwill of his people in Ogun state and beyond. This irrebutable fact is a pointer to his landslide victory at the poll at 2015 National Assembly election. Senator Kashamu like notable APC leaders such as Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, etc. had stood trial over alleged crime without conviction. They have also been honoured severally by their people and communities. Why then the hullabaloo about Senator Kashamu's award ? Though, Kashamu was arraigned in two British Courts over alleged drug related offences and was acquitted. Similarly too, the Nigeria Government , on the purported request of the American Government, attempted to process his extradition which an High Court , Abuja , justiceously stalled. Senator Kashamu afotiori , before the law, remains perpetually innocent until contrary is proved. Why then should any reasonable person think that Senator Kashamu should, now, be treated as an outcast or a condemned criminal? The APC lampoon further shows the politics of lies, propaganda , hatred and pull PDP down of APC. The APC, in Ogun State knows and realizes that Senator Kashamu is the most formidable threat it has. It is aware also that the Senator is ever ready to provide leadership and use all his God’s given resources to unseat the retrogressive, APC, ruling party in the State. APC in Ogun state does not tolerate opposition. This explains why it is presently challenging elections of all the Nine(9) PDP House of Assembly members, one(1) House of Representative and one(1) Senate. To us, we appreciate the leadership of NANS for its consideration for the person of Senator Buruji Kashamu. We also commend NANS for its non-partisanship, courage and independence. Gone in the past, when such awards would only be restricted to ruling Party (APC). We are bold to say that the award was a big surprise to the awardee as he has never met any of the NANS representatives before and they (NANS) did not request for anything nor give any condition before giving the award to the Senator as being alleged or thought of in the imagination of the APC. NANS should please note the assurances and determination of our distinguished Senator, Prince Buruji Kashamu to continue to do more to promote educational system and wellbeing of students generally. Conclusively, we see the grandiloquence of APC as a mere rhetoric and polemics of a drowning Party at least in Ogun State. Comrade Niyi-Osoba, Director of Orgarnisation, PDP, Ogun State. |
ABOUT THE AKINDES AND AKINBO @ THE OGUN TRIBUNAL The election tribunal in ogun State has delivered judgment in States and National Assembly elections ordering rerun in some polling units at affected states and federal constituencies including the Ogun East Senatorial district on grounds of irregularities in those areas during the general elections. The affected elected members have within 21days to appeal the judgment or present themselves for a rerun within 90days. It is however important to note at this juncture that it was only the APC members who lost in the last general elections that challenged the outcome of the elections at the tribunal while their PDP counterparts for reasons best known yo them kept faith with God. It was obvious that same judgment would have been rendered in the areas won by APC if their results had been equally challenged by PDP candidates. Now, that the tribunal had established there were substantial irregularities in the elections and on that basis ordered rerun in the affected areas, one can therefore expect similar judgment in the Governorship election verdict coming up very soon . It is therefore the turn of Akindes today soonest it shall come to the turn of Akinbo. For the Akindes, the appeal option is next before we come to rerun. It therefore means that those talking about "sack" are only ignorant of the legal procedure or simply malappropriating language to decieve the populace that things are moving their own way. Obviously, the people of Ogun have long been expecting reruns so lets keep our fingers crossed to see those who will laugh last since those who laughs last shall laugh best |
When SPBK won Senatorial seat, Punch Newspaper said he has nothing to offer as a Senator in the Red Chamber. Now that he was one among the first Senator to Sponsor Bill another story started running negatively on the Punch Newspaper against the man of the people. When are we going to end Corruption in our society? Hope our Media house will help us? hmmmmmmmm, media houses should look inward to help our Country by Reporting Adequately not always Reported in a bias way. The drummer drumming for a deaf singer needs more energy than other drummers , he can only beat his drum to the monotonous tune of the singer while any attempt to change the beat will attract disconnection and confusion. We are dealing with a hopeless situation in Ogun state. Don't pretend you don't know?..........#SPBKGODWIN# |
When the award is not going to an apc person, it is wrong to apc social media activist, to the noise maker let there be consrutive criticism, why u all choose to crucyfying kashamu? let amaechi, fashola and co summit themselves for anti -corruption charges. He that comes with equity must come with clean hand........ |
Why are we mixing up issues? Numerous political leaders have emerged, but d type of Senator Buriji Kashamu is rare in d sense dt,he has studied and fully aware of our society's basic problems and needs before working tirelessly to put smiles on our people's faces. Moreso,d social-political terrain of countries differ, how on earth will we compare d level and standard of politics played in d UK,with dt of NIGERIA, d gaps are too wide dt they're incomparable,so also d level of poverty and oppression their- in. Our man,d people's senator deserves more sincere appreciations than any condemnations from any quarter! |
I think Senator Buruji Kashamu should be commended for his unparalleled philanthropic gestures to the people of his senatorial district, Ogun state, south west and Nigeria. It is wrong to criticize his programme on stomach infrastructures because fingers are not equal, the gap between the rich and the poor in Nigeria is too wide. It will shock some people that are against his sharing of food items that over 60 percent of Nigeria population live below one US dollar per day. You will also be flabbergasted to know that a graduate cannot feed himself in Nigeria due to bad economy that never favour the poor. That is the level of poverty in our country that was created by our past leaders. Senator Buruji with an un-quantifiable mind of giving to the needy must be commended and encouraged to do more. It is also pertinent to know that Prince Buruji Kashamu is not just about stomach infrastructure but also doing much in the area of youth/women empowerment, education and community development. I will just urge all his haters to watch out as he will soon roll out his educational empowerment programmes to ameliorate the suffering of his constituents. Senator Buruji Kashamu is one in a million who has distinguished himself as man of the masses and always available to assist the less privileged. It is my prayer that God should continue to protect, guide and continue to provide for him to be able to touch many life as possible. He is indeed a good man. |

Senator Buruji Kashamu has distinguished himself beyond reasonable doubt in the midst of Nigerian Citizens despite all sorts of shenanigans and gang up to malign his character. He's a leader by example and what to emulate in all ramifications. As Givers Never Lack, may you not lack in all your endeavour. Amen |
the brains behind this evils ar not as useful as Buruji to the citizens of Nigeria. The creator of those U hv helped wouldnt let U down ,Insha Allah,I dont know U bt I love ppl that give out of their little. I think we should leave the man called Senator Kashamu with the legal battle and I know soon or later it will end somewhere. If court says he has case to answer in US Nigerian Govt will definitely board him (KASHAMU) to America, but, if US cannot prove their case beyond reasonable doubt like that of UK COURT OF LAW, are we going to write apology News, Letters or Messages to him? My dear brothers and sisters, Nigeria is not a BANANA Republic or are we saying American can submit their Citizens to any of AFRICAN CONTINENT? MARGARET THATCHER SON CASE FOR EXAMPLE. |
