I've been following this thread for a while for updates on Africard. For those of you hoping that the issue is because of the ongoing upgrades at UBA, that may not be the case. I withdrew money to the card on my Skrill account on Thursday and it worked ( though it usually takes like 48-72 hours unlike PayPal that's fast). Besides, the card is working perfectly for other types of transaction: withdrawal, bill payments etc.
Hustling legitimately in Nigeria has lots of obstacles. Let's keep the spirit up. Hopefully, there will be a solution. I could remember this Africard solution came at a time that I was frustrated with PayPal and almost stopped working for my clients that pay with it.
PayPal is really frustrating. If Skrill and Payoneer can work safely in Nigeria, why can't they? |

smartigo: Any transactions that require banking services must be link to a BVN. Any infraction to that is an offence by the bank. I will find out more about this.
When you say Ecobank, are you saying when you went to their office or via their social media handle? Maybe when they realise this is a criminal issue, they will play balls. First thing ,you need to report this as a criminal offence . Love When I went to one of their branches. They were saying it would be difficult to trace the person if it's an Express account since anybody can open it online without visiting the bank. |

smartigo: If he is fraud, the bank account should be flagged and Effc petitioned. As long as we have more than three people with witnesses against a bank account, the account will be restricted Ecobank says he's using those Ecobank Express account. Is it possible to open an account without BVN online? |

Open a Payoneer account, you will be given a USA Bank account with some other details you can use to receive online payment. Go to the withdrawal page on Freelancer and choose express withdrawal. Then enter the bank details you got from Payoneer.[/quote]@Efelee05 |
Business › Re: Freelancers, How Do You Withdraw On Freelancer.com by go4success(op): 8:52pm On Jun 10, 2019 |
go4success: Exchangers can't help you because they can only use an account that is connected to your name. If it's Paypal, it has to be verified with a credit card. And Freelancer will link it to your account.*You have to withdraw yourself, then sell to exchangers when you receive payment or withdraw via the ATM. Go to the withdrawal page and choose any option that is convenient for you (Skrill/ Paypal/ Express withdrawal *via Payoneer). The fifteen days delay is just for the first withdrawal. During that time, you may be asked to verify your account. I have explained the process for Payoneer in my previous post. You can also choose the PayPal or Skrill option if you have a verified account with those payment platforms. Regarding the Exchangers, there are many trusted ones like Modath, Justi4Jesu, Nkay, Zdoh, Tabbaz,Funlord and more. Visit the Currency exchange thread in the business section and do your research. Now to the advantages of each payment method: *Paypal is okay ( You can withdraw as low as $30 and sell) but you need a US verified account and it will be linked to your Freelancer account. Your account status will change to - payment verified and freelancer can charge your membership fees and payments to it ( that's why exchangers avoid it). * Skrill is also okay in terms of the amount you can sell to Exchangers. If your money is below $200, use Skrill. (take note that freelancer does not support USdollars, you may need to withdraw in Canadian dollars; Skrill also charges when you send payments e.g to exchangers) *Payoneer is better than the other options. Unlike PayPal, you don't have to hide IP address and they accept Nigerians. You will be given US bank account and other details to receive online payments and there are no charges if you are not using the card. However, you must have up to $200 for your first withdrawal before you can send to Exchangers. @Efelee05 |

You started it when you called me an idiot without doing due diligence. Check your post and show if you have any respect. Stop jumping on every scam mention here without using your sense. Funlord dropped a mention here to draw my attention. But what did you do? You uploaded our conversation with my number and profile picture when the number that scammed the person had nothing to do with me. Macfortune: If truly you're married, then it's obvious you've got no respect for your hubby. Maybe you think you're the first to be impersonated, but you need to be corrected. Last month, a Scammer here named ibuzz impersonated me and almost scammed a female user (Amakah) here $2,000. I never knew until I was mentioned here. What did I do? I politely contacted amakah on whatsapp and provided all proofs I had, and cleared my name of the attempted scam case here; she even came here and posted of my non-involvement in the scam attempt. Did I abuse anyone? Did I tag anyone jobless? No I didn't. Nobody is disputing the fact that scammers are impersonating and cloning accounts these days, but as a wife and a mum as u claimed to be, it wouldn't take away any strand of hair from your body if you try clearing your name politely. Common sense they say is not common as we think. Shalom and Happy Easter... |

Go4success Thanks for the mention. I never traded with the guy. My PayPal is still in my account and I don't trade anyhow here. If I contacted you it's either you're one of the escrows here or well established trader. All these drama is why I've not been using PayPal for a while. I have steady exchangers for my Payoneer and I exchanged twice last week without any drama. I don't have time for all these games. |
